Robly vs Brandly Comparison

This product is easy to use and allows you to send emails to different groups of email lists. You can create branded emails so your product brand gets out there easily without redoing it each time, and you can even choose to send the emails at times of day that are popular for people to check it!

I feel Robly is much easier tool to use with drag and drop, list features, contact building, branding, and the chat support is amazing.

I feel the reporting could have more data on individual lists vs grouping contacts and lists together. I have separate brands and lists that I need to report on.

Inability to automate recurring weekly emails.

Robly is affordable, easy to navigate, and provides quality reports. I had no thoughts of switching from MailChimp when the Robly sales team called me last year. However, my quick run through and free branded template made it an easy choice. Also important is that Robly checks in, has offers for current clients, and is constantly looking to improve.

Robly is a great product, it is a wonderful tool for anyone, especially non profits! The price is very good! The initial customer service team was wonderful to work with, they assisted with importing our contact lists and created a branded template for our use. The team is quick to respond, the online support is exceptional. Overall it is user-friendly.

Navigating is a little challenging at times.

I love that we can send emails to specific lists of people. I love the branded emails that have our colors imprinted, our logo displayed, and pictures from our website! I really enjoy the data capturing and the brilliance of the re-sending software. The fact that they can send emails at time that people are most likely to open emails, specific to that individual, is sheer genius.

Because I use Bitly, seeing which links are clicked in the emails can be difficult. I wish it would display the word that was hyperlinked as well as the link itself and allow me to click on it so I can go to the site and verify. I also would like to be able to expand the size of pictures using a dragging feature in the corners of the picture rather than manually editing it. Manually editing makes it difficult to get pictures on the same line if they're of different dimensions.

I originally chose Robly in 2016 because its campaign editor was more WYSIWYG than MailChimp or ConstantContact, both of which had anomalies show up after you had created a piece that were difficult to resolve. They have recently redesigned their UI, which took some getting used to, but the service still has excellent HTML fidelity and usability. The "OpenGen" function was the first I saw on the market. It allows you to automatically resend a piece to just the contacts who did not open the original. I enable OpenGen for every campaign, and always pick up a couple new leads.

Setting up Branding with Robly was a little challenging with two different vendors for email and website. They have also recently become MUCH more stringent in email addresses that they will accept. They pretty much require you to run addresses through a verification service like NeverBounce, and will disqualify addresses that the service marks as "accept all" (vs Valid) EVEN if you know from correspondence that it is a valid email address.

Robly is extremely easy to use. They build you a custom template based on your website design (or other reference material) for FREE! That means that anyone on your team can jump on and send out high quality, branded emails, even if they are not in marketing/design. Also, the other features that we really like are OpenGen and Robly A.I. Both features enable us to grow our list and build engagement among our subscribers. The customer service is amazing and prompt, and live chat makes communication super easy! I highly recommend Robly to any organization!

We are a very small, nonprofit organization that has to connect with hundreds of people, and needs to reach hundreds more. Robly has made our email marketing low stress and easy to do. It was easy to customize our template to have a consistent, brand-appropriate format. Each time we send out a campaign, being able to use the plug-and-play campaign builder allows us to focus on the content of the campaign, not the format. The built-in features, like automatically unsubscribing hard-bounces or using Open Gen, also mean that the behind-the-scenes upkeep is taken care of.

It would be helpful to make some of the more advanced features easier to understand, pick up, and use. There is more information that is or could be collected about my campaigns that I could make use of, but am unsure of how to start.

The website is easy to navigate. Robly made us a personalized email template for branding that coincides with our website appearance. It's a good value, especially when paying annually. Robly occasional sends offers for account credits. The reporting and tracking is good and easy to interpret. Their A/I delivery system sends emails at times most likely to be opened per recipient's history. The design program is fairly simple to use, but it took time and some customer service chats to really get the hand of it as new users. The emails look very professional and are easy to archive.

We would love to be able to drag content around and automatically create sections, borders, etc.. It took my team a while to learn the program, and the process can be time consuming when constructing a detailed newsletter. There's also no "undo" feature. Instead, you revert to the version that was saved 1 minute ago, 10 minutes ago, and so on. That part is frustrating because you waste a lot of time just clicking around. Also, the ability to edit image sizing is limited. We're happy with the program overall, but it could be improved for smoother, more efficient use.

Price. Although lower than comparable programs, it only allows for one user (additional users cost more) so a company with multiple departments would either have to use the same log in name or pay for each department to have their own account.
