We have been on the Sharpspring platform for nearly a year now and it has changed our agency. Back in the day (you know, a "whole" 8 years ago), inbound marketing and the software that supported its methodology was not a very crowded sandbox. But now there are all kinds of full blown platforms and other software stacks - needless to say, the playground is getting full. What made Sharpspring appealing to us what how it allowed us to "handle the transaction". Our clients know we use Sharpspring but they continually refer to it as if it were "our platform" - this instantly changes the way they (and prospects) see us. That being said, it has not been without its bumps and bruises. There have been times when features just didn't seem to work or required some guesswork (i.e. - building dynamic lists based on lead info seems to be hit or miss and the email builder is a bit clunky). In all fairness, we have just been too busy to become fluent in all aspects of the platform so this gripe may totally be on us, and not Sharpspring. All in all, I don't see us moving in another direction any time soon. We are a growing agency and we have hitched our growth to that of the Sharpspring platform.
Positions our agency as the resource. Up and running in a matter of minutes. Because of the quick implementation, a quick ROI to the client is much easier.
Parts of the platform are still clunky. On rare occasions, the platform cannot be reached. Because of its age, integrations are still limited.

They help me understand where my leads are coming from, which campaign is been effective, with those leads are buying and how my commercial team is dealing with the leads and opportunities, and just by this month, we started to make our customer journey into the platform so we have also our CS on board.
Looking all around the market, you will find sharpspring, with a slightly different business model that can make some eye turn but after you understand you will love it. The fact that you can buy directly from agencies that know the product and already know your objectives and product, is brilliant since no one will understand more your client than their selves and you that is emerging on his market, some platform forces you to buy their onboarding package that in the end, you don't leave with much. A platform with that many features on the begging can be a little overwhelming, but with time, you understand the reason for each feature. I use them for lead management, campaign, sales pipeline, and don't feel that i am using their potential 100% already
the learning curve needed for the platform, all platform have their learning curve, but once you pass it, this service is awesome!

We like everything, the landing page builder plus the behavioral modifications for changing around the look of emails and landing pages is unbelievable.

As we've developed our use of SharpSpring, we've been able to rely on the SharpSpring team for questions and guidance. You can tell they really care about the success of their agency partners and want to provide extra one-on-one support.
As you grow within the platform, there are numerous free resources readily available. If you have a question about a specific feature or capability, you can simply search their online resource library and you'll find an in-depth, step-by-step article with the answer. For more complex or strategy items, they host frequent webinars that you can access at any time. And, of course, it is very easy to submit a support ticket with an extremely quick and thorough response.

Overall, their customer service and platform was very helpful for our business. The cost of their platform is significantly cheaper than other marketing automation platforms, especially if you have a lot of leads in your database. You can also license out 4 free licenses, and if you want to license out more, you only have to pay a fraction of the cost (which you can upsell to clients). So I think it's worth the money, especially because it has all the main features you need to be successful. However, I personally don't think it's as user-friendly as Hubspot's platform, so it may take some time to get used to.
I like that they have an option to license out the software to our marketing clients.
I don't think their platform is quite as user-friendly as Hubspot.

My overall experience with SharpSpring has been wonderful! While the platform still has kinks to work out (what platform doesn't?), their customer service is amazing and they move at a rate unseen by others to make the platform better every day. I highly recommend them not just for their platform, but their people are friendly as well.
I really enjoy the various features that are available within the platform! It allows us to quickly and easily identify our prospects, capture their information on the website, and then market to them in a way that is meaningful and generates new business for us.
In their mission to make their platform compete, they often focus on getting new features out quickly but then have to go back and update later. I've seen this happen for them with tools like Video Calling, which became quickly available due to COVID-19 but lacks the robustness of other dedicated video platforms that I would imagine most companies already use.

SharpSpring has saved us time and money by bringing together everything we need internally, as well as the needs of our clients, into one platform. Having the ability to dedicate time to only leads that truly show an interest in working with us, as well as, to see that interest with the click of a button is amazing.
SharpSpring is a game-changer! Getting an all-in-one platform that allows us to go from capturing lead information and behavior all the way through to identifying qualified leads through marketing campaigns is amazing. Having one place for marketing emails, landing pages, social media, blogging, meetings, video chats, and more is almost unheard of. Match that with a really robust CRM that tracks leads, beautifully outlines the life of a lead, and allows you to easily manage the sales pipeline and one-on-one engagements with pre-qualified leads with lead scoring is amazing.
Seriously, there isn't much negative to say about this platform. The onboarding was amazing, the self-guided trainings were awesome, it's a great platform. The only downside is it's not as "pretty" as some platform, but hey, I'd rather have a functioning product helping me make more money and something pretty to look at.

I can pitch new business knowing that I have a definite way to show return on investment for my clients.
The platform is easy to use and integrates smoothly. What I like most SmartMail feature tracks behavior and helps us use content to nurture leads. We are able to provide a precise measurement of what content drives conversions.
This is a robust platform and does require a strategic approach to onboarding and does require a measured and patient approach. Don't try to set this platform up without the free use of the onboarding coaches.

We have integrated the Sharp Spring platform into our custom POS for shed companies and this allows our customers to have an incredible view of their ROI on ads and organic traffic!
We were drawn to Sharp Spring because of their business model that focused more on supporting agencies and offered a great pricing model!
No to much bad to say about it. We're liking the platform a lot!

SharpSpring is a pretty hefty platform. Along with email marketing, they provide analytics, campaign support, site traffic data, task management/workflow assistance. In spite of having a lot going on, they do deliver. The customer service team is ready and eager to help, too, if you find yourself stuck, plus there's a good library of tutorial videos and docs. If you're new to using these kinds of systems, this one is a challenge, but it's still worth it because once you've mastered things (and it's not hard) you'll realize that you have access to some pretty powerful tools. And if you don't see something, ask them. They're always open to ways to improve.

We are using SharpSpring to engage both existing and new leads. After setting up landing pages, site tracking and marketing campaigns, we have seen a significant number of new visitors. Using SharpSpring to find and nurture leads (new & existing) has been wonderful!
SharpSpring is a very powerful platform! We see (and continue to see) lots of value in the automation of this platform. You can essentially set-it and forget-it!
We haven't found anything we don't like about SharpSpring.

This platform is for marketing people, not sales professionals.
This is a MARKETING automation software suite, probably suitable for companies with large web lead generation channels and with individuals as customers. However, my firm is not such a firm. We just need a good CRM to support direct sales.
The architecture of the system is not a proper 3-object platform. The 'Accounts' modules cannot be configured into tables. Custom fields do not search, sort or display in tables. Ditto custom contact or opportunity fields. The only sortable field is the probability in the opportunities. Without the ability to make dynamic, sortable tables, this makes the platform useless to me.

The pricing is great for small businesses. It has all the robust features of competitors but I think easier to use and you can easily integrate with websites. Also, It is very agency friendly and the customer support is great.
No too much of a "con", but there is a learning curve, as with any new platform.

Overall, we are happy using this platform as one of the platform for marketing automation. It's a big time-saver with well managed and implemented automation functions/features.
This product we first got as a package from the agency that are providing us with marketing automation services. Since then, we started using it on a daily base and there hasn't been a single requirement from us that couldn't be satisfied with this tool automation-wise. Indeed, it's quite a hardworking thing to get used to it in the beginning, setting up the campaign, etc. though it's totally worth it. Now it is fully used for marketing and leads generation. Overall, we are happy with the performance.
As I mentioned above, the platform is quite overloaded with lots of functions, that might sometimes be confusing and not that easy to learn how to use them. A bit of more filtering of the functions in the user interface would be more useful. However, all of the features/functions are super useful once you know how to use them.

Our election to use sharpspring was based on wide variety of tools in one for a nice flat rate as opposed to the way we had been used to living.....multiple pay per month/per user tools with only one function.
Again, multiple tools related to all aspects of email marketing, blogging, analytics, organic traffic, paid media, crm (pipeline management, sales revenue), customer intelligence, and others.
Like any platform, they could use advances with the mobile app or delivery or additional crm features.

SharpSpring's focus on making their platform work for agencies is obvious and appreciated! Competitively priced with lots of tools for agencies to sell the platform, educate clients, and efficiently manage projects. Support has been great, and I'm especially excited about their product roadmap for the year. I can also appreciate their efforts to create a community of agencies around their product to share best practices.
We're still fairly new to the platform, but in comparison to alternatives we don't yet have any complaints.

My marketing company uses SharpSpring for our own promotions, as well as for a number of our clients ranging from local small businesses to national organizations. We had previously been using HubSpot with little success, and we were counting down the months until our contract was up so we could explore other options. SharpSpring makes email automation simple, from setting up the platform to creating emails, forms, processes, etc. The platform is intuitive, and for the occasional moments I need help, I know I can easily find specific help materials for the task at hand or connect with a support rep. SharpSpring was easy to work into our marketing toolbox, and it has made my own company better at what we do.
The range of functionality, the surprising ease of use, the ease of onboarding new clients.
The platform is sometimes buggy, but I know that the development team is always making improvements and adding features.

Sharpspring allows us to track a lead from beginning to end. Whether it's a click on a marketing piece that bumps up their lead score, or the lack of engagement, we are able to see why users are engaged in our marketing and how we can leverage that.
Sharpspring incorporates multiple platforms into one platform that syncs and communicates with one another. Instead of having mailchimp, instapages, hootsuite, etc, we can use sharpspring to communicate on various platforms all while staying on the same platform.
Onboarding is a bit difficult at first and training of new users feels limited at times.

We were happy for years. Then Constant Contact destroyed the product and the culture.
I loved SharpSpring until Constant Contact slaughtered it and their support fell off a cliff.
Very confusing. Terrible email builder. Broken platform elements with no desire to fix...but they're happy charging you full price.

Easy to use "out of the cloud" quick starts EASY Customized landing pages. Building and integration short lead forms with various crm systems. Saved us thousands $ from IT perspective in addition to quick deploy.
Recent improvements to the platform make it really the best choice for an integrated marketing app. The company is headed in the right direction and I am anxious to see even more added features.

This is the industry standard for interactive and sales enablement content. A must have weapon for advanced demand gen marketers that need to capture first party, declared data.
The user interface is a little tricky in the early days, due to the advanced customization possibilities that it offers, but once you get it, you love it.

Ion is an amazing piece of software that I use very often during the week. I primarily use Ions reporting side of things as a CRM. Using the CRM as another way to track and compare data across different platform to make sure everything is running effectively

I love how easy it is with Ion to create a very compelling, interactive landing page to help with lead generation. The customer support team is great as well! We have had many cases where we needed custom implementation to hook in other APIs or wanted custom development and their team has produced great quality work for us.
I would not recommend Ion for complete websites, that isn't what Ion was made for. You really want Ion for campaigns and landing pages. So please consider your use-cases thoroughly.

We have been using Ion LiveBall for well over 2 years, maybe even longer. All in all it is a great tool that automates many processes that used to take countless dev and admin hours. We are an ad agency, I am the creative director for digital. So we use Ion for our clients - it covers everything from simple lead gen pages to land and jump pages with links/ecommerce carts to microsites... We do it all within Ion. Being able to setup creatives and traffic sources where there can be a 1:1 or 1:100 relationship, where you have full control over the A/B/+ split is priceless. In the past, with standalone PHP pages, you would need a link/tracking/analytics platform to do the link splits and then track conversions per split. With Ion, you can do it all! Ion is such a great tool. If you are in the market for a landing page creation, optimization, management or reporting tool, stop looking - you have found it. It is called Ion LiveBall (I wonder if they even call it LiveBall anymore... The only downside is the pricing. But once you use it once, and sell it to a cleint or two, the cost can easily be passed on to clients and you can even start making money on the MSF from clients...
Ease of use, features, tracking, reporting (somewhat), administration, A/B testing, MVT, etc.
Price! I think it is a bit over priced, You need to invest first, but you can figure out ways to make that investment back and then some. My other big con is reporting. I think the reporting from the dashboard is limited. Especially for MVT testing. I would like to see it as Combo 1: Stats, Combo 2: Stats, etc. Not really like that.

The Ion platform provides an extremely versatile and robust engine for creating, hosting, and optimizing landing pages and other content. It puts the power in the hands of the marketers (reducing dependency on IT) and avoids the back-end technology backlog and long lead times that sometimes exist in organizations. The built-in testing capabilities and page analytics makes page optimization easier, and unlike many other landing page platforms I've looked at, Ion's platform can handle even the most custom or complicated features or forms.
Robust, versatile and easy to use. Puts the power in the hands of the marketing team, reducing dependency on IT. Great built-in testing and analytics. Handles complex forms and page logic.
If you already have hosting infrastructure and a full front and back-end development team, this would be an added cost to layer on top of it.
