More than that is the general feeling that has developed over our time using the CRM that we can't trust the reports that we pull, or the advanced search results that are provided.

Pros

The Launchpad feature works pretty well from a daily task management perspective

Cons

Clunky and slow UI with dismal reporting and analytics.

Pros

In the Sales organization, we leverage SharpSpring as a CRM as well as a tool to implement pipeline management and automation.

Cons

Pros

The software is constantly developing and being updated to include new features and functionalities. If there's something you want to be able to do that you can't do currently, you can vote for it and likely will be implemented before long.

Cons

You will likely need a person within your org to devote a lot of time into being completely familiar with the software to get the most out of it.

SharpSpring accurately tells us which pages they're going to, the amount of time they're spending on each page and attributes their user behavior to a customizable lead scoring system to quickly determine which are the best prospects.

Pros

With SharpSpring, my team and I are able to stay on top of our prospects, analyze which pages they're visiting on our website, measure their engagement levels from the content we send out to them.

Cons

The social media publishing aspect could be a little more robust with real-time analytics.

Our election to use sharpspring was based on wide variety of tools in one for a nice flat rate as opposed to the way we had been used to living.....multiple pay per month/per user tools with only one function.

Pros

Again, multiple tools related to all aspects of email marketing, blogging, analytics, organic traffic, paid media, crm (pipeline management, sales revenue), customer intelligence, ​and others.

Cons

Like any platform, they could use advances with the mobile app or delivery or additional crm features.

- There is no escalation process for customer support requests that are above a customer support reps expertise - Email report data is BS and one of the heads of IT at SharpSpring admitted it.

A good tool for marketing automation

We do not need a full content management system (ala HubSpot), but we needed a more flexible email marketing tool and a good way to drive leads for our sales team.

Pros

- Marketing automation tool easy to use after a few passes, and has a lot of flexibility around triggers and options

Cons

- There is sometimes a lag in reporting that makes it hard to confirm in real-time if an email has gone out/an import is loaded, etc.

Take advantage of onboarding. It's the one time you'll really have knowledgeable help; however, they weren't great at driving the conversation. Before you start onboarding, set out a plan of all the things you want to learn and explore, and continue to update that. You'll want to schedule a lot of time in advance; it books up quickly.

The marketing automation choice when value-for-money matters

HubSpot is the market leader in usability and reporting (in my opinion) so we did notice a difference when moving to SharpSpring, but for 95% of the activities we undertake SharpSpring is at least as good as HubSpot and often better.

Pros

The tool is a very capable marketing automation system, with good email and automation capabilities, as well as some great tracking and social media features.

Cons

Although the capabilities don't hold us back, it would be nice to be able to have easy ways to measure the performance of landing pages/funnels.

Pros

Sharpspring is a total marking solution that allows marketing to create landing pages, develop automated campaigns and track ROI.

Cons

The Landing Page module is new and could use some more templates. If Sharpspring could build a direct integration with Wordpress for the landing pages, that would be great.

Recommendations to others considering SharpSpring

Take the time to evaluate your processes before looking for a new system. You might feel pressure to go with a bigger name CRM-type system, but at the end of the day, if you really need to focus on sales and marketing (and nothing else), than you will appreciate the laser-like focus that SharpSpring has on these two functional areas. Sometimes the bigger(and more expensive programs) have more functionality than you will ever need, causing processes to get bogged down. Bigger isn't always better!
