SharpSpring is my #1 system of choice

Reviewed 8 years ago

I have consulted and implemented over 300 marketing automation cases since 2008 when I became of Infusinsoft's top-ten rated consultants, partners until May of 2016. Prior to parting ways with Infusionsoft with which we had great success, I needed to find a better system for my needs and the clients I was serving. I wanted to explode the size of my email and prospect list without blowing my budget. When I found SharpSpring I fell in love because of their approach to serving partners and customers. They don't try to be all things to all people. SharpSpring sells through approved consulting and training partners like me, and many digital marketing agencies as well.

Pros

The software does what it is intended to do. It is not all things to all people like some of their competitors pretend to be. SharpSpring is killer marketing automation, light CRM and big-time sales enablement. It is not for wimps. Like with any sales enablement and marketing automation solution, choose wisely, include your key players in the selection process and be prepared to hire a pro and pay them to make this software perform. Unless you like making your own paperclips, don't try to put yourself in the marketing automation business. It's nuts to think you can do this on top of your own business unless you have a serious, full time pilot to help administrate this bad boy for maximum ROI. You do want ROI, don't you?

Cons

Not much to dislike when you make an informed decision. There are no tricks, gimmicks or lame sales practices.

I use SharpSpring for onboarding my new clients and I love the seamless process.

Reviewed 7 years ago
Pros

I am the Office Manager & Content Writer for our firm, so SharpSpring and other such programs are not my forte. That being said, I have found SharpSpring fairly easy to use in my weekly work life. We use SharpSpring internally for blasts, campaigns, and CRM and we also have 4 clients (soon to be five) using SharpSpring for their clients. I use it mainly for onboarding new clients. I love the smart...

Cons

The things I have found that were missing, or confusing, or anything like that so far, have always been answered quickly by SharpSpring support, or are currently being implemented for future activation. Recently I reached out to support because there was no SOP for onboarding a new client on the Partner Portal. Within 24 hours, I had a preliminary copy of this document that they were working on pushing...

Sharpspring has changed the way our company does business

Reviewed 5 years ago

When we demoed Sharpspring we were blown away with the possibilities. We could instantly see the value their product could have not only for us, but for our clients as well. It was an easy decision to jump on board and start using it. Our account mangers, on-boarding team and all the customer support we have received has been top notch.

Pros

I appreciate it that it is an almost all in one solution. We can do so much from one platform that is really makes our business lives run smooth and easy. All we need to do is log in and begin your day.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to 'hide' or 'disable' parts of the software that our clients and we do not use, however it is definitely not a deal breaker.

Great for our team and for our customers.

Reviewed 4 years ago

SharpSpring has been a great choice for our agency. We are only starting to use it and love it. I can't wait as we continue to deploy more customers and use it to the full potential for ourselves as well.

Pros

I love the ease of use and flexibility of SharpSpring for my company and for my customers.

Cons

Since I use this to manage customers and my sales team I really need the ability to have more control over being able to have the sales team see all customers and contacts but only the name and contact so they can see this is a current client. The only way they can do that is by giving them the ability to also access all other contact information including emails. If you manage a competitive sales team that can cause problems. I need them to focus on their customers and not have the ability to look at what other salespeople are doing with their customer's interaction, etc. but they do need to know who is a customer so they know who to and who not to call on.

Everything a small to med Business needs in a Marketing/CRM platform!

Reviewed 5 years ago

It has helped the Sales team to run successful leads targeted pipeline through the CRM and keep customers updated with nice emails (using dynamic personalisation). Marketing has been able to use the pre-made email templates to save hours onboarding customers to our Uniform Management portal and build landing pages to complete the prospects' journey investigating us. The tracking feature has aided Customer service to speedily resolve online issues as they can see what pages they have been on, how they tried to log in, what browser they use etc.

Pros

I chose the SharpSpring platform at the beginning of 2018 as it appeared to have anything of value that Hubspot offered for almost half of the annual cost to us. Aside from a wide range of robust features, they have great support ticketing systems, guides and feature voting system. You may see a lot of reviews against their support but this is because agencies haven't offered their customer's direct support access to SS. The list builder and automation are very easy to use. The contact, accounts and opportunities are very straightforward and tracking is so easy through Smart Mail. Building great emails and landing pages is also straight-forward.

Cons

The downsides would have to be their blog builder and social connections. Also being a MArketing lead platform they can be slow to release sales based features (it's my opinion that Sales & Marketing should share platforms for alignment).

Just right

Reviewed 5 years ago

Sharpspring is being used by our 3 person Marketing Department. We love how automated it can be - the "set it and forget it" model. We are in banking so security is crucial and our IT did a thorough risk analysis and seemed pleased with the results so everyone has been happy.

Pros

Sharpspring was our "just right" if this were our story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We needed more than a simple constant contact could offer us but we didn't need the overly complicated versions that some of the largest providers in the space were offering (we found the price tag to be equally large for those). It's simple enough for us to use in house without a full time person dedicated to it but offers us lots of insight into our consumer's behavior. We've learned a lot and gathered lots of data points.

Cons

I've been happy with it. We haven't gotten any other departments involved yet so I can't speak to the business development portion.

Things could be better.

Reviewed 4 years ago

I'm a one-person business, I've used the software for about 3 months, in between signing on customers for my digital marketing business that doesn't include SharpSpring and I'm a startup so I really don't have time to learn everything I need to know to sell the system. It would have offered me more trust in the company if they understood the work involved in creating all of the content and trying to...

Pros

The things I like most about SharpSpring are the email build, landing page builder, form builder (sort of), the idea of the content calendar, and the cool thing we can do with social listening. I usually use hashtagify or some other application for social listening so finding out about SharpSpring's ability was cool. When you have a real problem and you're a vendor, the company really steps up

Cons

The content calendar deployment is a joke. Sometimes it will deploy all of the content and some times it won't, it will just deploy pieces. You can schedule emails and social together, I don't dare try that until they fix the application. The VisualID application isn't much better. The training could be better, it's all in videos.

SharpSpring is the go-to for today's marketing automation needs!

Reviewed 8 years ago

Our agency started using SharpSpring in 2015 and we couldn't be happier. Our lead nurturing and contact management was a mess - switching monthly between new online platforms - but then we found SharpSpring and what a difference it has made for our business. No more lost leads or cold prospects. The SS interface is so easy to use and the flow is very logical. We have recommended SharpSpring to all...

Pros

SharpSpring is easy to use and is robust. From contact to lead to client management, it's just drag and drop. The marketing automation tools are comprehensive, but simple. When trying to manage a lot of tasks at once, SS makes it seamless and nothing is missed. Their iphone app is great too!

Cons

I don't like where the NEW button is found on the menu bar, but otherwise, the software is easy to use and I don't really have any complaints.

Online Agencies sales and marketing improve with SharpSpring

Reviewed 4 years ago

The software helps to bring marketing and sales together in one process. It is simple to use for marketeers and sales is up to speed in notime. The strenght is that you can adapt it to your needs and you do not need technical expert.

Pros

The combination of strong marketing automation tool and CRM is perfect for all types of agencies. Life-of-the-lead give you insight in behaviour of your leads. What they look at, which email they open. Ideal for marketing to optimize lead generation and perfect for sales to target individual prospects.

Cons

The e-mail editor sometimes behaves in another way than you might expect. It takse some to to get used to is. We regret that there are few usable examples.

If you're serious about marketing, this is the tool you're looking for.

Reviewed 4 years ago

My team and I were struggling to keep track of our prospects and their behavior in our site. SharpSpring accurately tells us which pages they're going to, the amount of time they're spending on each page and attributes their user behavior to a customizable lead scoring system to quickly determine which are the best prospects.

Pros

With SharpSpring, my team and I are able to stay on top of our prospects, analyze which pages they're visiting on our website, measure their engagement levels from the content we send out to them. Additionally, we also have marketing analytics at our disposal to review which traffic sources are generating the most traffic. The ability SharpSpring gives you to create, manage and measure your campaigns is beyond useful.

Cons

The social media publishing aspect could be a little more robust with real-time analytics. Sometimes the content you're trying to post does not exactly translate the way you want it to on the actual social media platform. Also, the trackable links don't always display an accurate representation of the number of clicks on media attached to your posts. The links to the trackable links should also be a lot shorter to motivate users to click on these links.

Incredibly Product with Incredible Service

Reviewed 4 years ago

Usually when you purchase a product, you don't expect to have the level of service and care that SharpSpring have provided. Not only have they helped us set up everything correctly, but they've also been super swift in replying to any enquiry that we have (even though there's a time difference).

Pros

As a company we kept losing leads, not only that but we didn't know anything about the people that were visiting our website. Since we've implemented SharpSpring we've not only automated our marketing (so that all of our leads get a swift reply and follow up) but our sales pipleline is now being managed (something that we've never had before).

Cons

Nothing I don't like. SharpSpring has been invaluable.

Sharpspring is a terrific marketing automation tool that provides great value

Reviewed 8 years ago

Our experience with Sharpspring has been great. A trememdous value for our company that has already shown us ROI. Our company uses Sharpspring for both marketing automation and as our CRM tool. Specifically, Sharpspring is allowing us to target prospects in our database to fill top of the sales funnel with prospects, as well as allowing us to nurture specific prospects based on their engagement with us. Depending on an action a prospect takes, we can serve up the appropriate response automatically to further cultivate this person. In addition, we are able to use the analytics the system provides to better help us understand which marketing activities are working and which ones are not

Pros

It is easy to use. There is a learning curve, but it is not that steep. The list building logic and workflow logic just makes sense, and I think this is where Sharpspring shines. SharpSpring's support was critical to our success in getting started, as getting started truly is the hardest part. The responsiveness from their support team is also incredible. If you are not looking for all the bells and whistles that you ultimately won't use, Sharpspring is a true value.

Cons

The improvements I would like to see in Sharpspring centers around the contact management part of their solution. We have sales people that are using the system as their CRM and some basic features like searching, segmenting, and sorting are not available to a person in the sales person role permission.

Sharpspring is Powerful Marketing Automation Software that is a Great Value!

Reviewed 8 years ago

I have been using Sharspring for almost 3 years. I have B2B clients and B2C clients using the platform. Sharpspring has made some incredible progress in the past year. The customer support is excellent. It has a built in CRM that is fully integrated into the platform. With the new addition of the landing page and blog modules it is a complete Marketing Automation Solution. It is very user friendly and configurable. I highly recommend this software.

Pros

First, the set up is very easy, within 24 hours I can have a new client up and running. The automation is very flexible. Sharpspring comes with forms that can be placed on your website or can integrate with existing native forms. Sharpspring is a total marking solution that allows marketing to create landing pages, develop automated campaigns and track ROI. The built-in CRM allows sales people to see the user behavior and interest, add to nurture campaigns and even gather data on anonymous visitors.

Cons

The reporting on the CRM side could be a little more robust, but for most SMB's that reporting is more than adequate. The Landing Page module is new and could use some more templates. If Sharpspring could build a direct integration with Wordpress for the landing pages, that would be great.

Sharpspring is a Platform That Changed the Face of Our Company

Reviewed 8 years ago

We have been on the Sharpspring platform for a year now. Before SharpSpring we were a web design and marketing agency that worked on one-off projects and sent our clients on their way once it was complete. After we made the decision to invest in SharpSpring it completely changed how we interact with our clients. It has helped us establish much longer retainers which makes it possible for us to build...

Pros

Positively positions our agency. Very easy to get new licenses. New billing structure makes it more affordable for smaller agencies like us.

Cons

Parts of the platform lack features. The app is almost useless for design and marketing purposes but is great for entering contacts.

I love Sharpspring!

Reviewed 4 years ago

From the second or third day of immersing myself in the interface, I was able to be productive and creative. I have improved in my ability to navigate and save time. It would seem that every day I find a new trick or workflow that saves me time and makes money for my company.

Pros

The interface is extremely intuitive; the custom options are limitless and the willingness and ability of the developer behind the product exhibit in their constant delivery of improvements and benefits is impressive to say the least.

Cons

There is truly nothing to dislike about Sharpspring. If I had to pick a negative, it would be that the dependent, ancillary technology sectors have not moved as quickly as they should in creating seamless integrations with Sharpspring. However, Sharpspring's API and open compatibility of the program seems to more than make up for the lag.

The pick of SMB MA platforms

Reviewed 6 years ago

It's been very positive - the support is great, generally waiting only for the time difference (ET > SYD, AUST -16hrs). They are happy to jump on a call to talk things through even directly with your clients. They provide opportunity to Feature Request and demo the product to your Clients if you need to. Overall rating 8.5/10 Keep it up, SharpSpring!

Pros

I like the fact that it does what it says on the box. More often than not you sign up and then find out if you want to do this or do that, it's additional cost - not with SharpSpring. Although they have a 3rd party APP Marketplace for plugins or API connecting codes, SharpSpring has native access to GA, Google Adwords (Optional) and Social connectors such as Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter - still waiting...

Cons

There's not many 'Cons' but simply a couple of teething problems like you would expect and get with most SaaS platform- my thoughts - you can't be everything, to everybody, every time. Areas such as fonts, layout and the landing page construct could be improved but you've always got support on hand to help you through it plus they have a product development page you can view.

Amazing Enterprise-level Marketing Automation + Integrated CRM Platform

Reviewed 4 years ago

SharpSpring has saved us time and money by bringing together everything we need internally, as well as the needs of our clients, into one platform. Having the ability to dedicate time to only leads that truly show an interest in working with us, as well as, to see that interest with the click of a button is amazing.

Pros

SharpSpring is a game-changer! Getting an all-in-one platform that allows us to go from capturing lead information and behavior all the way through to identifying qualified leads through marketing campaigns is amazing. Having one place for marketing emails, landing pages, social media, blogging, meetings, video chats, and more is almost unheard of. Match that with a really robust CRM that tracks leads, beautifully outlines the life of a lead, and allows you to easily manage the sales pipeline and one-on-one engagements with pre-qualified leads with lead scoring is amazing.

Cons

Seriously, there isn't much negative to say about this platform. The onboarding was amazing, the self-guided trainings were awesome, it's a great platform. The only downside is it's not as "pretty" as some platform, but hey, I'd rather have a functioning product helping me make more money and something pretty to look at.

I love SharpSpring because it helps digital marketing agencies like mine compete and succeed.

Reviewed 7 years ago

I received the ability to help my clients on a whole new level. I am now able to offer tools and functionality that only large firms could previously afford. With email marketing, landing page building, automation, CRM, and sales management capability, I can provide more and better service to my customers than ever before.

Pros

SharpSpring offers effective, powerful tools for digital marketing in a single application. It allows me to offer affordable automation to my clients for their email campaigns, landing pages, CRM, and sales management. SharpSpring offers fair agency-focused pricing at a fraction of what Infusionsoft, HubSpot, and Ontraport charge. The price offered to agencies allows me to pay less than end-users,...

Cons

SharpSpring has only been in operation since 2014, so some features are still in development. However they are eager to consider suggestions from agency partners and constantly working to improve the product. With such great customer service and an already impressive set of tools, a little patience for upcoming developments is a small price to pay.

Perfect for Digital Marketing Agencies

Reviewed 4 years ago

There was a fairly steep learning curve to use SharpSpring, even though I'd used HubSpot and other marketing automation platforms in the past. I think this seems expected for a lower cost solution, though. Once we got comfortable with it, though, it's been very quick and easy to build out all the assets and start our campaigns. It's worked beautifully for our own marketing and for clients. It's easy to build emails and customize them to match your client's brand.

Pros

What I like most about SharpSpring is how much you get for the money. It packs every feature you'd expect from the expensive marketing automation platforms but doesn't throw exorbitant costs on those features. I also like the ease of integration with other platforms.

Cons

I highly dislike the recent shift in having clients pay for their own accounts with separate billing. We were sold this platform as one we could completely white-label for clients, but now we are required to put a client CC on file.

Big Platform is Big Solution

Reviewed 3 years ago

It is a big program that takes some time to learn. It isn't always super intuitive and that can slow things down a bit. But for the money,

Pros

Consolidating functionality is more important all the time. Having the ability to do so many things in one platform is a big benefit. The media center is good and the calendar function is great. For planning social media campaigns and seeing synergies with other channels, it is very good. Creating and managing lists is super easy. So is managing the opportunities and the pipeline. Sales and marketing jointly selected SharpSpring.

Cons

Because it is such a big platform, it can be hard to remember how to do everything. If you don't consistently perform a specific function, it may take a little time to remember how to do it. It isn't always intuitive. They used to have a campaign cost capability so you could run your cost per lead and cost per sale. That feature disappeared and so you can no longer do that.

I have been using SharpSpring for many years now. The system is stable, my campaigns are delivered successfully. When I did have a problem their support team were super eager to help. With SharpSpring I can confidently offer my clients a full marketing service . I give them a thumbs up !

Pros

I also like the reporting, you can see who opened and received the email campaign, who clicked on what. The support are super friendly and helpfull too

From Hubspot to Sharpspring

Reviewed 7 years ago
Pros

Last year my company decided to switch from Hubspot -where we'#39;d been for three years- to SharpSpring. We knew the transition would be tough, but SharpSpring seemed like a great, and less expensive, alternative. Now, a few months in, we only wish we switched sooner. While SharpSpring doesn'#39;t have everything Hubspot does, it has a lot of things Hubspot does not, and it has everything we need...

Cons

My only complaint with SharpSpring is that some tools can be a bit buggy sometimes, but customer support has always been very helpful.
