Enterprise Features, Startup Cost

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

The robust features are a favorite and they are always being updated. I recently tied my calendar into my signature to improve the meeting functionality offered to prospects/clients. The FAQs and video help are incredibly useful and customer service is fantastic. The overall customer experience from SharpSpring is amazing.

Cons

I could be missing this, but it would be incredibly helpful to be able to note and segment contacts by time zone. The app (Android) is also pretty limited.

Agency Partner Review

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

#1 - The marketing automation in the platform is powerful #2 - Unlike some other platforms there is automation within itself such as closing deals changes the contact field.

Cons

#1 - The landing page and email builders REQUIRE html and css knowledge to do basic functionality. Our dedicated rep literally told us not to use the landing page builder and to build landing pages somewhere else. #2 - It is not a simple platform at all. Functions such as tracking link clicks in emails sent out require hours of work to create and track.

Outstanding Support

Reviewed 4 years ago

Very pleasant experience so far. Great service and some keen insights about our audience and site visitors. It's the "leg up" we needed.

Pros

Of all the vendors I work with, SharpSpring is probably one of the most responsive, if not #1. As a robust system, SharpSpring has a lot of moving parts. My associate and I are not short on questions. We've been able to go to the account management and tech support teams with virtually any concern or query and they've responded almost immediately (and with a great, friendly attitude).

Cons

While the landing page and email templates are faster than building from scratch, the drag and drop builder can be finicky. However, the results are still nice. If you have knowledge of CSS, it will be much easier to get the finished product you want. Overall, however, the strengths of SharpSpring outweigh this small matter.

A powerful marketing automation tool with the an incredible agency business & pricing model

Reviewed 10 years ago

As producers of B2B sponsored webinars, optimizing audience acquisition outcomes is a critical part of our client deliverables. We made a change to utilize its email marketing capabilities and loved it's agency business/pricing model too. Their agency business model is more than just words. They provide us a "free Instance" to use for our own marketing automation and biz dev objectives. The pricing...

I'm dreaming ? no i bought it!

Reviewed 4 years ago

Today I understand the concept of personas, origin of lead acquisition, lead score, lead nutrition, automation rules ... if the lead makes x, I can answer x1 ... if the lead makes y, I can answer y1 ... it's like I'm personally responding to every action They force you to study ... which is good, because after the effort, comes the understanding of the process and TAHDAH ... ideas and inspirations...

Pros

Sharpspring is not just a tool, a CRM or automation of Leads and Inbound Marketing is all that and more ... it is made up of people ... people who care about you, people who care about you your business, even if your agency is ridiculously small, like mine ... they are people who take pains, dedicate themselves and get mad at me, because I didn't do my “homework” ... and with that, I keep skating in my evolution ... they want me to grow ... they want me to earn more ... even I think sometimes they want my success more than me ;-) ... (just kidding)

Cons

that she doesn't have points that I can call weak ... so if what I tried to do didn't work ... it's because I didn't do it right and it hurts ... talk to the technical team and they find the error!

Easy to use, fantastic features, great support and cost effective

Reviewed 4 years ago

We've been using the platform for over 3 years and have seen a HUGE increase in the number of features being added. They try very hard to keep evolving and giving you a platform that meets the needs of your client base. Overall, support is very good and there are a number of ways to connect with the support teams (phone, email, chat, video call) They also try very hard to keep partners up to date and involved with the product roadmap. The quarterly webinars with the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and product development teams are really useful.

Pros

The fact that everything is integrated (crm, email, website, social, landing pages, chatbot, forms, etc) means our clients have one platform with one log in. On the whole its easy to use, but if you run into areas where you need to refresh your knowledge or are starting from scratch the training team are really helpful and accessible.

Cons

The implementation of the new billing system didn't run as smoothly as it could have.

Excellent CRM and Marketing Automation at a Great Price

Reviewed 4 years ago

Since Apexx has a wide vareity of companies from service to products to SAS, the software is flexible enough to be able to handle those different types. I would say they benchmarked the best-in-class systems and came away with something that pulls the most useable features from all the different CRMs and melded it into one more affordable solution that is equally as powerful. All with amazing support and customer service!

Pros

I've used literally hundreds of contact management / CRM Marketing automation systems over the years. SharpSpring is very intuitive for both marketing and sales people to use. It is also one of the easiest to deploy quickly. Part of that is due to sales, onboarding and technical support being far and away the best I've encountered in the industry.

Cons

Just like any CRM or software solutions there are elements that are not self-evident. But just ask the team and they will walk you through and even send videos and tutorials to reinforce what you learn.

Sharpspring - Customer Review - Jessica Hobday

Reviewed 2 years ago

Very responsive and attentive support, overall good experience.

Pros

The learning curve was a lot smaller than other softwares. While SS has generally most things that others do, it isn't all in your face at once.

Cons

There are definitely lacks in automation that other softwares use. It's getting better, but still not as versatile. Especially with workflows.. email replies aren't a trigger, can't filter by list membership, etc.

Solid marketing automation platform; good value

Reviewed 6 years ago

Good value for the cost. My company is able to generate new business via SharpSpring's marketing automation software, and we are able to generate meaningful sales qualified leads for our clients. Not the most robust system out there, but it gets the job done and is very easy to use.

Pros

Easy-to-use platform that makes marketing automation simple for both our agency and our clients. Great partner agency program that provides huge value for us. Some of the best SharpSpring features include: VisitorID (the ability to see which individuals and companies and looking at your website), detailed email reports, visual workflows, and pre-designed email templates.

Cons

SharpSpring is not as robust as other marketing automation platforms. As a result, it lacks many features that other systems have and the site often glitches. It's difficult to automate drip campaigns, notifications, etc. as the automation functionality is missing a number of key features. CRM is also not intuitive and lacking a lot of basic search/filtering functionally. Additionally, you may have to know a bit of HTML to design emails, as the pre-built templates can be a bit finicky.

Fantastic Service, Very Useful Product

Reviewed 7 years ago

- Ability to better understand the goals and needs of prospects and follow up with them in meaningful ways - Ability to track the performance of site content and resources - Ability to house all assets in a single, trackable repository

Pros

SharpSpring filled a void in our content marketing program, enabling us to better understand which resources impact our lead-gen and sales process. It also allows us to follow up with leads in intelligent ways, sharing relevant, personalized information and tracking response. The SharpSpring platform is very easy to use and configure, and their customer service is top-notch. We especially appreciated their Onboarding process, which equipped us with the skills and knowledge we needed to manage the platform on our own. That self-reliance was crucial in our decision to move forward with SharpSpring. We feel that the pricing is more than fair, and we are seeing tremendous value from the platform. SharpSpring helps us to have a truly integrated marketing and sales function.

Cons

We'd like to see more flexibility in the reporting--the ability to create a personalized dashboard with the precise metrics we need to monitor on a daily basis. The information is available in SharpSpring, but we have to look in several different places to find it.

Sharpspring -

Reviewed 5 years ago

My overall experience with sharpspring is mainly in the middle. Though it has a good customer support due to fast response and follow ups, the answer that they will give to us especially the important questions are not reliable.

Pros

What I like in this software is it has a lot of features and easy to use. The contact manager is very helpful. The email template creation is good. Customer support always responds. Sales Pipeline is also very helpful. Social features are also very helpful. Building reports for email is also very helpful because of the easy to select options like filtering fields.

Cons

What I like least and what I hate in this software is the way they handle their email marketing. The way they detect hard bounce emails are not accurate. My business email that is registered to their own system was detected as hard bounce email - (invalid address) and even the good emails we had and was given by to us by the owner sometimes fall as invalid email.

Great Value For Small & Medium Businesses Looking For A Robust Automation Platform

Reviewed 8 years ago

I have been using SharpSpring for about two years now and have seen many improvements. For the price, it brings a lot of value to the table, and they are continuously adding new features and upgrades to the platform. Any small or medium business looking at marketing automation software should consider using SharpSpring.

Pros

All the core features work very well. For your investment, you get all the features of the big players, but you're not the locked into a contract, and you avoid the step monthly or yearly fees. They also have an excellent partner program that allows you to get your license through an agency that will help you set up your platform and make sure you are on a path to success.

Cons

Some of the new features they launch are pushed live before they work perfectly, but it isn't a major issue as the primary features aren't impacted. You can also be sure that any problems that do exist will be fixed quickly. The only other issue I have had is with their support team being located in Soth Africa. This has lead to some questions not being answered quickly but if you use an agency partner this will not be an issue as they are your primary point of contact

Best Mktg/Sales Decision We've Made

Reviewed 5 years ago

We rolled out SharpSpring as part of a CRM overhaul and focusing on prioritizing leads as we offered a free trial for our SDK for the first time. Within 24 hours we had grabbed 24 clients and it's still climbing. Implementing drip campaigns including License Keys pushed via custom fields and merge variables will be set up within minutes and in the meantime our sales team is combing the best of the best submissions for opportunities to reach out one-on-one.

Pros

SharpSpring provides a turn-key solution for our marketing and sales teams. We can collaborate, monitor, and track every single effort on either side without any complicated setup. Sales teams learned how to track and engage with leads in a matter of minutes, Marketing was loading content even faster and building automations. Devops was integrated with website and SDK requests within the afternoon. By the end of the week, a costly legacy MA/CRM system was replaced and fully migrated over with no headaches.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about this - its been an amazing experience.

Supports our Sales team with Salesforce Integration

Reviewed 2 years ago

Thanks to SharpSpring, we have been able to better align our sales and marketing efforts and automate many of our manual marketing processes. SharpSpring has helped us mature our marketing processes by being more strategic with campaigns and segmenting our list to be more targeted and personalized in our messaging. Instead of using multiple tools that don't talk to each other, we have one integrated tool that supports our marketing and sales teams.

Pros

SharpSpring integrates well with Salesforce, which is key to our Marketing team being able to support our Sales team. We now have insight into where our leads come from and how they engage with our content - something we never knew before! Life of the Lead is our favourite feature because it gives our Account Managers context when engaging with a lead. We have more lead generators on our website (like a chatbot, free trial request, and opt-in forms) that we never had before. We also have access to more powerful (and easier!) reporting, which makes month-end reporting cycles more enjoyable.

Cons

There is a lot to learn but the onboarding process helped to ensure we had the support we needed from both a strategic and technical perspective. We've had some technical issues with not being able to use emojis for social posts and with not receiving email notifications for some workflows. The technical support team was very helpful, but unfortunately, there are still some outstanding tickets. The landing page builder is frustrating but the email builder is more intuitive.

A good tool for marketing automation

Reviewed 8 years ago

Overall, SharpSpring meets our needs. We do not need a full content management system (ala HubSpot), but we needed a more flexible email marketing tool and a good way to drive leads for our sales team.

Pros

- Marketing automation tool easy to use after a few passes, and has a lot of flexibility around triggers and options. - Forms are great for collecting lead information elsewhere (we use largely with Leadpages) and automatically pulling that data into SharpSpring/contacting the appropriate rep within our company. - Reporting is pretty good; I really appreciate the ability to drill into the email reports on an individual basis. - Self-help documents are pretty good.

Cons

- Customer service is weak (aside from onboarding). It took a long time (over a month) to resolve an integration issue, and in general customer support is slow to respond and not very knowledgeable. - Email builder is just OK, and customization options on forms are limited. I would love to be able to better manipulate the look of the forms we use. - Landing Page tool is new, and I expect it to improve, but it's clunky and hard to build what I want at this time. - There is sometimes a lag in reporting that makes it hard to confirm in real-time if an email has gone out/an import is loaded, etc.

SharpSpring Offers Excellent Value

Reviewed 5 years ago

SharpSpring is an excellent tool for small businesses and marketing agencies. Their agency model is truly fantastic and thoughtful about how to help agencies better serve clients. From an ROI perspective, SharpSpring is a near no-brainer for most B2B and many many B2C companies.

Pros

SharpSpring offers high value marketing automation, sales automation and integrated CRM features. It also offers behavioral website tracking, lead scoring, and solid email marketing for the money.

Cons

SharpSpring's native Salesforce sync needs improvement, and their landing page builder is not worth using when you can build landing pages on WordPress or Unbounce.
