SITE123 vs Square Online Comparison

I am a complete novis to building a website so I was surprised that this site made this very easy and has saved me a fortune paying a tech company to design my website for me.

Perhaps a step by step guide as you go along and explain what things mean for example Domain name and other technical language which to someone like me is neccessary.

easy to use, fast, preview while building, excellent customer support through online chutting.

Buggy templates and functinality. Reported bugs are ignored, no help for available templates, limited customisation of templates. No required features for cheap plans - becoming very expensive when start adding features.

Very efficient online support team. Easy to get help and sort things out.

Not easy to give feedback about negatives because I only use this website for 2 weeks now.

It's definitely not an all-inclusive software. You don't have a lot of options of customization so it's seems your website it's like a bunch of others around.

Honestly I love everything about SITE123. I have used many website builders, including Squarespace and Wix. Site123 is the best website builder I have ever used.

I found the tools and help the site123 creators. The template varieties to pick and the theme as step1 lets u decide ur online business or site to make.

Some features when building on the template give trouble of the tools to choose what you like to include or do, it can be fixed though

A non tech person can do a prettu good job using the software and all the templates and ideas provided

integration with outlook (mail and calendar) is not user friendly and needs to improve

Easy to use as you can perfectly navigate the built in functions within the website builder

The only criticism I have is if there are urgent minor adjustments required for improvement of your website they become a feature request, and months later remain outstanding. However serious issues are prioritised and the online help Site123 provides is excellent.

1) I am VERY frustrated by the 2,000-character limit in each section of custom code. I still have over 90% of my allotted space (10 GB) available for use, so I am not clear as to why this limit is so low. I would create several more websites on Site123 if this limit were lifted to at least 5,000 characters. The limit seems arbitrary - customers HATE arbitrary limits.2) I am frustrated at the 200-page limit for the entire site. I understand that there have been some performance issues for other customers when they exceed 200 pages on their site, but that is Site123's issue to figure out. Again, I still have over 90% of my allotted space (10 GB), so it is frustrating not to be able to use it due to a technical issue.

By far the most significant part of SITE123 is the support team. They are all very helpful and proactive in contacting you, i.e. they see you are online and just check out if you need help. They are all patient, knowledgeable and good humoured.

I would like to be able to log in to edit from a live page - probably to toggle between the two. It may exist, but I haven't found it yet.

cannot fault, everything was simple, no jargon. i have little to no IT literacy and even i had next to no trouble. any stumbling blocks i encountered were solved almost immediately by support.

At first glance I do not see a lot of free plugins, and some of the ones available are old dated. Of course using custom code is always best and till now it integrates to my project with no problems and crashes. For Ex. I need comparison picture slider which I will get from 3-th party, it would be great if such is integrated in the plugins and custom code section. Another thing is the parallax option which would be great to work with multi pictures on the first page.
