Simple SM manager with superior Analytics feature

I’ve used/currently use Hootsuite, Buffer, Swift Social, Kontentino, and many other social media managers, so I had a lot to compare Sprout social with.

Pros

The Digital Asset Library The Analytics feature The RSS feature can serve as a social media content generation tool. Easy UI

Cons

MavSocial has a better Asset Library feature, SMHack provides just as detailed analytics, Swift social has powerful RSS feature, and Hootsuite is cheaper, has an automatic scheduling function, as well as one of the easiest SM Managers to use due to the numerous tutorials online and it's inbuilt mini-tutorial.

Fantastic, i've loved working with Sprout since we started with it in 2015.

Allows us to carry out day to day running of social media interactions from 9am - 9pm 7 days a week, with minimal to no interruption.

Pros

Not only that, but the reporting on offer is second to none, providing clients with real time data on how their social campaign is performing.

Cons

Like all big social media management software platforms, there's an occasional glitch (to be expected in my opinion, given the magnitude of data they're working with), but given how robust and responsive the support is from Sprout, the issue is clearly communicated and often solved quickly.

Here's your ultimate social media account management platform!

The software was very okay to use and helped me to manage my clients social media accounts with ease.

Pros

Integrates all major social media platforms into a great user interface that's relatively easy to use.

Cons

A few times I've encountered bugs that could not explain why certain metrics were way off when measured with other tools. Looks easy to use off the bat but you should be aware that its not as intuitive as it seems.

A promising contender for a one-stop shop management tool

Pros

Every social media management tool out there lets you schedule and post across multiple channels, Sprout is no different in that respect.

Cons

We had to add additional software to our arsenal to handle all of our social media needs for reporting and for additional channels like Instagram and Pinterest.

Fantastic social monitoring and posting platform

Improved social monitoring and reporting.

Pros

Having a single platform to properly manage Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram is vital when managing a social network.

Cons

The closest I can come to negatives is cost (it would be nice if it were cheaper per user account) and its limited integration with Instagram (which is more a negative for Instagram's API than anything else).

Sprout Social has been a true time saver with handling multiple accounts and brands.

Pros

As an organization that manages 7+ attractions and over 20+ accounts, the ability to filter hashtags, geolocations etc in one location has helped with saving time and ease of scheduling to multiple accounts and most importantly reporting analytics to the management team.

Cons

It would be great to see an integration (example: CrowdRiff) that allows to interact with user generated content through brand keywords or geolocation to re-share on our social platforms with the ability to send mass messaging for permission.

I can customize reports easily for our clients based on what network is most relevant to them and what information they want to see.

Cons

Pleasant and easy to use Supports all of the major social media networks Scheduled Posts Great reporting and dashboard

Cons

Expensive (starts at $59 per month per user) Some features don't seem to have any value add over what the social network provides already.

Pros

Sprout Social compiles all the readily-available data from your social profiles into simple, easy-to-use categories.

Cons

For example, seeing people who don't follow you back, your top followers, and scheduling social media posts are all possible to do without using the tool.

I have been using Sprout to manage about 30 social media pages for nearly a year.

I like having a hub to store photos (the asset library) as well as a hub for all user activity across multiple social media accounts (smart inbox).

Cons

*The Reports area does not give the ability to customize the data that appears in a report. i.e. if I want to draw data from multiple reports, I can't choose to create a custom report using only the data I selected.

Pros

The Smart Inbox; it allows you see and interact with every social media comment and message that comes in throughout the day, making it very easy to engage with your followers.

Cons

I have had more success exporting the reports as .csv files and creating the graphs myself in Excel.

Pros

My favorite thing is that SproutSocial stores all of your business' social analytics; when Twitter and Facebook limit your window, your history is always in Sprout, which is awesome to know we can build year-over-year analyses of our channels. The design is great, and it's easy to figure out without any guide.

Cons

But it's a small thing.

Pros

Sprout Social is clearly designed to make the life of a social media manager or consultant as easy as possible, and they are continually releasing new features and improvements.

Cons

I think content discovery is still a little challenging within the tool (and I don't mind so much because it's not a main feature that I was looking for when I chose Sprout), but I believe Sprout is working on ways to enhance this.

Sprout Social is the easiest and most intuitive way to monitor multiple social media channels

Saves tons of time by having all notifications for all social platforms in one place, saves even more time by letting you respond to them as needed directly from Sprout, helps me stay organized by allowing me to archive completed notifications, scheduling for all platforms and a hybrid scheduling option for Instagram (which is amazing), intuitive analytic reports that are easy to read and understand

Pros

I have never had a notification slip through the cracks and it helps immensely with interacting with people on multiple channels

Cons

They are a little slow on offering features to utilize updates on social media platforms.
