Faster resolution for translation bugs/issue, great at communication, translation values are correct and zero to min fix on it by user

Cons

It would be good to have a words/value translated saved in the application to avoid dups charges

Excellent Product by a Professional and Attentive Company

TransPerfect has quickly shown to be a valuable partner. Their advice and guidance is as objective as you can get from a vendor, and we value their consultation. It helps to have IT resources or an IT partner that has integrated with GlobalLink before. Our set-up was quite fast and painless. We did not experience any integration issues and were up and running without bumps.

Pros

The product integrates very well with our CMS and allows us to reduce the overall time from translation, translation reviews and pushing updates to our CMS for final UAT. The ability for our reviewers to collaborate in the portal along with the translators and make updates in a single source while being able to view a preview of the translated content is an optimal workflow.

Cons

I have not used the software. I selected and facilitated the purchase for our Marketing and Digital Teams. All of the feedback has been very positive. We have used other translation agencies in the past, and TransPerfect and the GlobalLink solution have been seen as a vast improvement. No complaints so far.

Functional software

Overall good, yet I feel more features that increase the UX could be explored. In addition, for the price of the service as a whole I would expect some more customer centric features. Like the example above.

Pros

It's simple in set-up. You send in a file, it comes back translated. You can attach reference files, make notes, set the date. It's got all the key features you need and it always works, never any bugs.

Cons

It's very basic. I would expect that as the service is quite expensive there would be a library feature which allowed you to search for already translated copy. We have these very basic sentences, for example "thank you for subscribing to the newsletter". We might place this in one location on the site, yet two years later CRM wants to leverage this translation. In order for me to find the translation deck I will have to remember where I saved the original file/named the project. Since all of these decks are part of the Global Link database it would be much more useful if I could just look for it in there.

A platform with a user-friendly interface that is easy to use.

GlobalLink is generally a good CAT tool, with many useful features to help users manage and complete projects quickly, minimizing errors. However, it still doesn't really have a breakthrough or special than other CAT tools.

Pros

I have used many CAT tools, both offline and online, they are often quite similar. GlobalLink has the outstanding feature of being easy to use, with a user-friendly interface, very rarely errors in the working process. Allows users to access the project on any device, even those without strong configuration. Project management is also extremely easy, the project manager and every translator involved can track the completed steps in real time. GlobalLink helps the exchange of information take place quickly so that the project can be completed more smoothly and faster.

Cons

Sometimes when I have to use GlobalLink to translate projects larger than 6000 words, the platform slows down, sometimes it takes a long time to save the translation, it needs to be refreshed many times to be able to use it smoothly. But these are also rare cases, most of the time the platform runs stable. However, GlobalLink doesn't really stand out from other CAT tools, so the higher price tag doesn't make sense.

Pros

Easy to Implement and Track, monitor the translation fed sent and received on periodic basic.

Cons

Tapestry uses Translation management,with high quality delivered but the time takes to receive the translation back is time consuming. It takes 3-4 business days to get the translations back.Sometimes exceed the contract price.

Solid Sitecore integration

This is a great product that enables us to do large volumes of work with a small team.

Pros

The integration with our CMS ultimately wound up being a huge benefit for our company. Being able to run workflow through our CMS and seamlessly create translation jobs which are then returned back to the CMS enables our team to stay lean and focused on adding value rather than worrying about large administrative tasks.

Cons

It takes careful planning, communication, and execution to get things dialed in correctly. Fortunately the technical support was able to get us to where we needed to be. At times getting everything connected correctly was labor-intensive.

Pros

I like the intuitive interface for Transport. The upload is simple and I prefer the ease of using the software compared to sending multiple emails. The system sends email alerts and the function to add other users on the request streamlines the process. They can get real time updates. Lastly for tracking purposes I have a full list of activity with dates and cost figures included, which I was previously tracking manually.

Cons

I can't think of any cons. I needed another colleague added to the request and that was enabled.

The customer service in helping identify my teams' needs has been very inviting. The GlobalLink team has been great at finding our fit within what is provided.

Cons

The primary con is the price for our consumers.
