Overall, I have experienced truDigital to be highly responsive and good problem solvers. I appreciate the product and its value and would recommend it to other institutions.
To its credit, truDigital allows multiple users to upload content to players/screens across the users' campus. The interface is clear and reasonably intuitive and allows our administrator to oversee content without having to personally post each item. It allows for a variety of different media, ranging from templates that will populate the players with breaking news stories and images, to templates that allow users to upload still images and videos. On the whole, I've been pleased with the product.
A three things that drive me nuts: (1) I have not found a way to copy a template and its content from one player in our system to another, forcing me to rebuild each template for each player, (2) the player playlists allow you to automate when an item will start/stop playing, but does not automatically remove it from playlist itself, and (3) I wish there was a built in "monitor" where you could view what is playing on a player in realtime. Since I am in a different building from all of our players, the only way I can confirm that things posted correctly is to walk across campus and wait for my content to pop up.

We have multiple offices all around the world and the deployment and setup in different countries is some what a chore. If an update is pushed it takes for ever sometimes. The price factor and size makes this a good option for certain company needs.
The cost is low for implementing a digital signage solution. The support and service has been very good.
I have to have a person physically reboot or restart a device weekly. I am constantly having to monitor the status of these players on a daily basis as they tend to drop off the network. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to update the players when a new slide is pushed. At least once a day I get a call from someone notifying me that the device rebooted randomly and the device menu is showing sometimes up to 3 or more minutes.

I recommend updating your user experience. Portions of the site are dated and could use streamlining. Also, let the user know that the device has to be reset and that THE PLAYLIST PREVIEW IS NOT AN ACTUAL REPRESENTATION OF MY SCREEN. I had a high-visibility campus down for weeks without knowing because my previewer said everything was working as it should.
I am able to use images and videos in one list which is nice. I wish you didn't have to have these in two separate modules as it makes creating diverse motion playlists very hard to curate.
My biggest complaint with the platform is actually the hardware. We have to reset the device 2-3 times a month to get it to work properly. Since we have several campuses in several different states this ends up being a time-consuming project every time. If you add up the money the company spends on employees resetting these devices I think you will find it adds a great deal of cost to the overall platform. The interface itself is very slow and hard to navigate. Since we have separate campuses I have recreate each playlist multiple times instead of being able to build a master template and deploying each playlist as needed. This also adds a great deal of time to each slide update.

Generally very happy with a product that does exactly what we needed - our campus community can easily submit content and we can get it displaying quickly and easily at a reasonable cost.
We've been using this system for 6 years, and are very happy with the product and the support. Just prior to purchasing this system, we had purchased a far more expensive one, and were so disappointed with its limitations that we cancelled it. We were very happy to then find TruDigital instead. It is very simple to use, but has levels of sophistication we have not even tapped into. Initial implementation was quick and easy.
We struggle with how quickly it "bogs down" when you are trying to do a lot of updating at one time. It is also critical to remove stale content that will also bog it down.

Positive! I would buy again! We've used this service for 3+ years and are very satisified.
Easy to use, with excellent support! We tried other competing software/player suites and found the lack of support to be frustrating. We've always had prompt support from TrueDigital! We use this service in multiple locations. The ease of use makes it a no brainer.
There is a bit of a learning curve but support has always been available to help us through any problems or issues. Most of our issues have been user error.

It's a budget service for digital signage, so expect budget performance. That said, much of it comes down to "you get out what you put in" with it. If you have a good team that keeps tabs on the software and puts together good content for it, truDigital should be enough for your business, as long as you don't care too much about live-updated content from third-party sites and social. Though we've experienced issues with the software itself, the customer service team is great.
Straightforward interface that doesn't take long to learn. Price point is significantly lower than other services. Customer service team is very responsive and helpful. They seem to keep close tabs on the status of the software and devices so they are rarely surprised when there is an issue. When I contact them about something they often seem to be already on the problem, which is certainly admirable.
It's very, very slow. Even switching out one slide can take up to five minutes because the web app that controls the devices loads so slowly, even on high-speed internet. Service also struggles to work with third-parties (though I understand this is more-or-less across the board right now, regardless of software). In the 18 months or so that we've had the devices we've experienced fairly frequent connection and update issues, even when connected directly to the internet via cable.

Overall I like TruDigital it is a great value for the price. Some of our players occasionally disconnect for months at a time.
I find the slide show feature extremely helpful for circulating custom internal content throughout our facilities.
The weather and traffic apps are spotty.

Overall, very satisfied with the product and service for the price. Would recommend this software to my peers.
Scheduling capabilities is our number one priority. We like the weather app too. Customer service has always been very helpful when we've found ourselves offline or not updated.
I don't believe we've been successful syncing with Google Slides. I think we need to upload jpegs into the media library. I would like to be able to sync to Google Slides without any hiccups.

I loved the product, loved working with the people. Great company and they go out of their way to make you a happy customer. That speaks volumes to me. The kicker for me has been the price. Other services that rival the content management features of TruDigital are in most cases less expensive. We operate 20 screen locations so the expense is a bit over the top for us.
The dashboard interface is very easy to use; intuitive. The content management is made easy and the scheduling of playlists is right on spot. From the user standpoint, I absolutely love it.
There isn't a lot of freedom in template design. Our stations are all set up in zones and we had to get a custom template made to achieve our standard design. Designers much prefer the freedom to work on an open canvass and this software painted you in a corner to easily.

We stopped using this product.
The ability to update online is helpful. They have lots of widgets, which we never really took advantage of, other than the weather.
The players would often be out of sync so that the weather was clearly out of date. The software on the players was cumbersome. The cost per player per month was not worth it for our purposes. We simply needed to display a slideshow of announcements.

Overall for the cost and the workarounds we are employing they allow us to accomplish what we need. The online interface could be better and there could be more customizations and better templates, but it does work and we are able to push out the content we need. In short, the end users get to see the information which makes it a win even though the overall product needs some polish.
I like that I can control multiple devices with one setup rather than having to program each device separately.
The templates they have are rudimentary at best and do not allow for a lot of customization. We have been creating and customizing our content in another service prior to uploading to truDigital. The majority of their templates look like they belong in 2005 and do not always work as expected. Also, it is annoying that you have to wait for the device to refresh every 10 minutes or so to get any newly published data. It would be better if there was just a button that you could push that would then publish your new data.

From a support perspective, they get an 8 -- it'd be a 10 if they offered 24/7 support. That might not matter if you're a US-based company, but it's a big deal if you're an international one. As far as day-to-day use, it's very low maintenance.
It's very easy to use and intuitive. Training others to perform basic tasks can be done in under 10 minutes.
It's a little restricted in terms of third party content, such as streaming news.

I support many products for my company and truDigital is hands down the easiest thing I maintain. I've yet to run into an issue that I wasn't able to track down quickly due to the straight-forward interface. On the rare occasion that I have ran into an issue I couldn't resolve on my own, the truDigital online support team has been able to help within literally seconds every single time. Honestly, 10/10!
The title says it all, the implementation was pretty much completely hands off, we received fantastic training and the online support is by far the best I've ever experience with any product.
The only thing that mildly stands out would be the lack of hands-on administration. Being able to disable/delete user accounts could be of some value, however, it has not been an issue due to the rapid response we receive from the truDigital support team.

We love that it is easy for the normal user to be able to manage the content it takes content management off of the the IT dept.

Our overall experience has been excellent and I would feel happy to recommend truDigital to any business, public government agency, or any other individual seeking digital signage.
We implemented truDigital in the Public Library where I work in the past two months. There are many excellent comments to make about truDigital: the software is extremely user friendly and easy to navigate even for a novice user; the customer service is excellent because someone is always there to answer a phone call or available through the online chat; the price points for the players fit into our lean public library budget.
We would like to see more templates that offer the date/time on the display.

Overall, my experience with this company has been positive. I do feel as though the cost for the service receive should be reduced by 50% considering the ongoing expense.
It works as advertised. We haven’t had any major issues.
The cost of the software is higher than the value we receive. I feel as though $10 a month is the most I would be willing to pay for this type of service.
