I like that Widen is an easy way to find assets. It is helpful for a large company--because everyone knows where to find the assets that they need.
Widen is a very useful asset to our team. It has room for improvement, but overall it helps us accomplish our tasks and has rarely failed.
Assets are served up quickly around the world and it is a very stable platform. When technical issues do arise, they are very communicative about their progress of solving the issue.
Pros
Great technical solutions which covers all kind of image delivery aspects. Simple but effective user interface.
We are now a paying customer and we value the automatic responsive settings. Customer support is brilliant.
Good features which can be deployed when required. Good API and widgets available for developers.
Cons
I think the one thing that I struggle with was the update on how to upload images.
I miss, on the file type filter, the option to filter by GIF.
Hard to do advanced searching with filters—they work in kind of a frustrating way that's hard to explain succinctly.
Cons
But I don't like taking all the memory by this software, that's all the problem I can find for this software.
Very simple to resize and manipulate images but it really is just too costly in the long run for us.
Some features can be confusing to activate such as automatically transcoding videos. Annual pricing offer was not clear in sign-up process.
