Pros and Cons from Salesforce Marketing Cloud users
+15
Encourages cross-team communications. Great support from the vendor, and strong community of users and third-party integrators.
The price, the user experience, the lack of multibrand use. When I threatened to take my business elsewhere we had one call with the VP but then he stopped responding to calls and emails.
Was quite easy to understand for novice and navigate around and had easy to use and useful automated marketing features that made reaching a large audience seamlessly easy.
It felt like they were just as fed up with this crap tool as we are. Although they didn't say it, I think one of our key employees quit over the frustration of dealing with marketing cloud.
We use salesforce daily to engage with customers on a daily basis. It has been very helpful in managing customer journeys, sending and preparing emails, and getting good reporting.
Not all pending sends will list themselves under "Pending Sends," so that has caused some issues with accidentally sending the same email to the same list more than once.
It had a good native integration with Litmus. I liked the reporting feature that visually showed where users where clicking in an email.
The customer service and sales team was probably the worst I've seen from an enterprise product. Even though it's owned by Salesforce, it isn't as well integrated as Marketo.
Its very user friendly when you need to build assets with less time. I think those who have a more B2C business marketing model will find this more beneficial with the 1:1 ratio for personalization.
Further, the e-newsletters don't cooperate with Outlook, which is frustrating since both are Microsoft products.
Salesforce offers a big eco-system with lots of functionalities and a good customer overview.
Also opening a ticket with customer support is a pain, especially if you don't have a Salesforce login (I've tried both with and without.).
You are able to view and respond to emails from all of your coworkers which helps with workload management.
The e-newsletter design function is nearly useless unless you can code HTML, and the preview emails you see never match what ends up in your inbox.
The Journey Building feature is incredible for this. This also allows you to set triggers and make intelligent automation decisions.
Steep learning curve, Poor Customer service, Fairly expensive for most of the users.
Love what the product is capable of doing. But it takes a significant amount of time and money beyond the cost of the product to set it up and maintain it.
For a small business I'd HIGHLY recommend going with something else.

Pros and Cons from Semrush users

The other excellent feature that I found exclusive to SEM rush was PPC competitor tracking. Knowing what competitors are bidding on is beyond the realm of a usual SEO software and is a great addition.
Everything has been a frustrating struggle. Many features that are included with the starter level of other online SEO platforms cost extra with SEMrush.
It includes a site health grade, all the Errors/Warnings, and gives ideas on how to make improvements on the site. I also love love love the automated reporting.
SEMRush has been horrible to learn and work with. Nothing is intuitive or user-friendly.
Although AHref is the best, but semrush is so far the second best. Has everything that AHref have, and happy for it.
It's sad that I would have to pay almost half of my subscription price just to have a second user be able to access our account.
Comprehensive and robust. Best for established businesses who have the budget and manpower to manage regularly.
What I don't like about SEMRush is that most of its features are paid for. This can end up hurting those who are starting in Marketing, for example.
We love the ability to quickly view our site's performance through the easily accessible dashboards and reports. The position tracker really helps us keep a pulse on the health of our site.
Overall the experience has been great. I am also very pleased that they have a training section as my team has taken advantage of this knowledge share.
SEMRush is a great easy to use tool that is very user friendly. It’s multi purpose and has some fantastic functionalities that we use across SEO, content, PPC, Socials.
Really happy with Semrush, besides the contact improvements it comes with a great online community and friendly staff. Value you get out of this tool is evident.
Very easy to use and simple to understand for anyone. The content tools are amazing also and have been extremely useful for our team.
It also allows you to gain insight to what your competitors are doing. Plus the continuing education, blogs, and academy are an amazing resource.
Easy to get going, competitive pricing, library of learning material, innovative features, constantly improving.
SEMrush is easy to deploy, easy to use, has great customer service and provides ongoing training. What more could you want.
Its keyword and competitive research saved us dozens of hours immediately and provide us a way to analyze our client's digital landscapes rapidly.
Easy to use and extent knowledge base with academy. Varied type of analysis for a SEO analyst and easy integrations with essential tools.

Pros and Cons from Buffer users

The scheduling was great and the reports are probably the best out there. It also has a great mobile app which never crashed on me.
Buffer has been one of the only platforms I've had trouble with when it comes to failed posts. It didn't happen that frequently, but it happened often enough that it was a pain point.
Just choose the option that fits your needs. Another Buffer feature I love is the ability to share the same post to multiple platforms with the appropriate variations.
It can be a little confusing to learn the interface and features of customizing for each platform.
It's great to help clients who have never used a scheduling platform before, it's quite easy to use and reliable.
But these generally are problems users can expect to encounter with any social scheduling platform.
I love social media schedulers, and this is a good one. I like that it's relatively inexpensive, and easy to connect with social media accounts.
Again, I'll sometimes post manually on Twitter so that I can tag accounts. Finally, you can post multiple images on posts, which is especially a drawback for Instagram.
Good platform for scheduling you SOME posts, very easy to use and a big help for people with multiple SOME channels.
Its free as well so you can try it out until you want to take its premium membership. Easy to set up, easy to connect and their customer support is also great.
If you're an avid social media user/manager with multiple accounts, it seems like a great resource for scheduling posts. They also have an extensive blog/education section, which is quite informative.
Since my client uses Pinterest, this a good alternative for Tail. The link shortener feature is my lifesaver.
Integration with BulkBuffer. All of this has made Buffer a win win for me.
I do like the ease of use and functionality. It has a clean interface and you can select from a couple of different plan options, including one for posting and analyzing your social media accounts.
Buffer is a great tool to use if you would like to schedule social media posts all in one go. It can help you post to multiple networks and also get handy reports on how your social media is doing.
So all in all I think Buffer does a great job for the price of the software. I do like how all analytics are in one place and how you can have multiple users and editors working on your social copy.
I love how simple Buffer is to use, and I use it often for my Instagram. The UI/UX is very intuitive, and I like it that is not crammed with many unnecessary integrations.
Must have to ensure your posting to your social media. Customer support is very fast too.

Campaign Monitor is an excellent email automation tool that is user-friendly and easy to use. It has an intuitive interface, great customer support, and comprehensive analytics.
We disliked that the platform seemed to be split between different names. Sometimes the login would redirect us to another website which was a bit weird.
Although testing on the likes of litmus is great, Campaign monitor gives the ability to test emails EXACTLY. This has been excellent for development and my learning about email code.
Some parts of the UI are cumbersome and feel stuck in another internet era. Some services can be very pricey if you don't have a subscription.
The ease of use, depth of reporting, and helpful support team. I like the ability to change and alter the campaign up until the last minute, even if delivery has been scheduled.
Some features and configurations can be a bit hard to figure out without a fairly technical background. Email builder templates felt a bit restrictive in terms of styling and formatting options.
Campaign Monitor lets me create, send, manage and track eblasts with great ease. It has a high number of quality templates and automation is very easy.
Plus, not being able to marry together the email insights into our customer actions/deals/leads was a big hindrance.
The great thing with this is the Price is very competitive and it offers a bit more than the others.
Campaign Monitor is wonderful. I recommend it enthusiastically to anyone looking for a full service, easy to use email platform.
I liked the documentation, it's nice and easy to read as well as follow.
I realized that it is much easier to create a campaign that contain a good design visuals. Thanks to its templates.
Campaign Monitor has great integrations that allow us to use it throughout our platforms and connected to other software we are using.
Analytics: powerful and easy to understand which has evolved out marketing team to be able to properly target and understand our marketing strategy.
I love that this software lets you either upload your own custom coded emails OR you can use their email builder.
Campaign Monitor recently bought Conversio Emails. The price is very competitive for all the things it offers.
Dashboards and analytics are all intuitive and easy to use. Automation journeys are easy to build and update.
We've had the same code running for years and have never run into issues. The API is very stable and after 5 years we haven't had any issues, no breaking changes or anything related to it.

With Adobe Campaign, I had the opportunity to create excellent campaigns. Excellent integration with CRM software.
It works very slow when I upload high-quality images, hate this.
Has the intuitive UX that you come to expect from Adobe products. Very slick, attractive interface that is easy to use and fun to learn.
But the user experience is very poor -- is built from IT user perspective but not from the marketer perspective. They are not enabled on Web.
It has been the perfect tool that provides reliable services with advanced features.
It also happens that Adobe servers crash when organizing mailing via email, which is why not all of our partners receive letters.
The different help screes along the way are great when you are trying to figure out what option to use. The layout os the apps and menus are very user friendly.
Dreadful implementation; links between different modules didn't work; sophisticated segmentation never worked in 2 years. An extremely expensive white elephant.
Seamless integration with third party tools like SFDC, Dynamics CRM. Web tracking and automated workflows are some of the features that I really love about this product.
The interface is friendly, the features are well organized, and marketing staff has the opportunity to perform tasks in a more creative way.
What I like about the software is it design and tools. It gives my project a beautiful structure for public use.
Has so many features and ways to reach costumers, provide what they need, once you are able to know your way around the app is so fantastic, only need to work once and them just press send.
This helps effectively in communicating with customers.
All statistics get to my personal account. I also liked the ability to personalize email newsletters.
I used this primarily to test it out for one campaign and felt it was solid. I felt it was easy to use.
Usually one says this in a negative light, but this is definitely worth the price. It is one of the most well encompassing platforms out there and can target extremely fine markets.

It's easy to get your new campaign up and running and approved with Taboola. The interface is pretty slick.
I have forwarded the recordings from my heatmap software to my attorney for possible fraud.
Great experience the platform is easy to use and provide great results.
The billing section is hard to manage, you cannot chose the amount billed.
I enjoy the websites and the partners of taboola because I receive great results recently from the platform.
The UI is not pretty to look at, navigating can be difficult.
The Ease of Use, The Customer Care Agents, The Affordable Pricing.
What i don't like is that it does not have so much credibility so people don't click a lot on them.
Site bidding features was best for me. And Yes integration with our business process was smooth with taboola.
We saw fairly positive traffic thanks to Taboola and it didn't cost as much as most of their competitors.
I really like that it gives us the ease to be present on many websites regardless of the topic. It easy to setup and as you pay per impressions is not that expensive.
Taboola is easy to use and have a great support.
Very easy to check for mistakes. Of course they provide quality traffic, and the price ranges are also quite good.
I used Taboola to generate website traffic on new articles I wrote and generate a second source of traffic. I liked the very advanced targeting, as well as the retargeting.
