Great product for donor management

It’s a good product snd the service is exceptional! They have a lot of videos to help new staff learn the software and they get back to us with answers in a timely fashion. That is important!

Pros

I like that it streamlines our ability to use one donor database for all aspects of our business for donor management from communications to reports. I also like that they provide the ability to integrate with a variety of sources for other needed services such as peers to peer fundraising like givebutter.

Cons

The newsletter capabilities are few. That could be improved. Also, we just went to QuickBooks online from the desktop version. They said it integrates w QBs online well. But if you connect your bank account and Bloomerang then you have double entry problems. They did not tell us that.

Bloomerang CRM

Bloomerang is a quick and fast resource for donor retention, average gift and reports that tell me who I need to connect with and who loves our work. It helps to identify major donor prospects and who are biggest fans are. We use it to monitor email open and click through rates and to help us evaluate our fundraising goals. It's useful for donor engagement as well.

Pros

Bloomerang is a simple to use CRM system for donor management and communication. I love that I can do donor emails and donation management all in one system. The customer service/help desk is great, always very patient with a non-techy person. Loads of training resources. So many features that a one person shop can find it hard to learn or use them all.

Cons

I wish there was a peer to peer fundraising option or integration with more peer to peer platforms, would love to see a text to give option, would love more automated messaging options, would like donors to be able to log in to change their giving options, would like to be able to go into a recurring donation and change it based on the donor's request instead of having to cancel it and have the donor provide their account details etc again. I have lost over $450 per month in revenue because of this. The donation page doesn't allow for any major changes- I would love to see a button that says 'one time' and one that says 'monthly' so that its clearer to donors who want to give monthly instead of a small box they need to check at the bottom of the donation options. I've lost revenue because of that as well- months later had donors tell me they thought they had set up monthly giving.
