Will Get the Job Done but Leave You Unimpressed

Breeze was a helpful and somewhat dependable church management software. It got the job done. We have yet to cancel it because we still need its check-in system for Children’s Ministry.

Cons

Breeze did nothing in excellent fashion. It gets the job done but not extremely well. It also doesn’t integrate with other products.

Membership was a breeze to install and maintain

Hands down this was a breeze to choose, implement, and work with. Our small staff were able to enter the membership and giving piece. The sales and support team there were a pleasure to work with and quickly got back to us.

Pros

The GUI, graphical user interface, was very polished for the price we were paying. I really liked the demos and website and was the fall back position if the other membership system was not installed. We could easily add fields, and lists, to meet our membership needs.

Cons

There wasn't a full financials piece. There was a preferred partner, but nothing that fully integrated thru API into a financial package.

Why Breeze ChMS works for us.

I feel empowered using Breeze, because it allows for so many ways to keep our membership listings up-to-date and the members themselves can be interactive within the program, too. Our communication with each other is open and often.

Pros

The ease of switching all of our membership information over to Breeze from our previous membership program. All of the tutorials that are available to peruse anytime as well as the quick response to any questions we may have. This software lives up to its name...it is a Breeze to use!

Cons

Have not figured out how to print directly to envelopes yet. Am having some issues with merging a letter. It is not coming out the way I am typing it. So I have a bit of work to do before sending the letters out. Have heard from some members that they do not like the "head of household" and "spouse" choices. So we have just been marking the husbands and wives each as "spouse". this seems to work, the name get listed alphabetically.

Perfect For Us!

Breeze was super easy to setup and they helped us with importing our membership data. We're a small church with a small staff, so we don't have a lot of time to devote to database configuration and data import. We definitely made the right choice when we selected Breeze for our church management system.

Cons

Have not found a Con yet. We looked into importing our membership data ourselves, but decided to let Breeze do it since they do it for no charge.

It really is a Breeze

Breeze ChMS has allowed us to get out of the stone age when it comes to our membership database. It may seem simple, but the fact that Breeze provides so many modern toolsets in very user friendly ways, makes our life so much easier. It really is a Breeze to use. Our staff and volunteers are excited to use the software when previously the tasks of membership management or contribution tracking, etc. were dreadfully tedious.

Pros

Breeze is super easy to use. There's a wide breadth of features and functionality, but they are all presented in very intuitive and user-friendly ways. They've really thought about the user (both church staff and congregation members) in designing the software.

Cons

The software has a lot of features, but there are some areas for improvement or expansion. Specifically, around volunteer management.

Great from a user standpoint

It has overall allowed us to get a much better handle on who and what we have for resources.

Pros

It is very easy for a smaller church to incorporate text-to-give, membership, volunteer scheduling and easy follow-up for visitors! Maintaining is easy and not cumbersome to learn, assigning tasks makes people management a Breeze!

Cons

Would have really preferred to have something that allows visitors to interact and submit their information. We have had to go to another text interaction with QR code to get actual information and have it look professional. There is some ability but it is not what we are looking for.

Great for intermediate churches

We are very pleased with the ease of use and especially with customer service!

Pros

Having all our membership and event data in one place and the ease of giving for our people is vital. There is no long learning curve, every one of my staff was able to use Breeze from the very start.

Cons

We have added Breeze giving to all of our media, but we have also used Tithe.ly Text to Give for years. We will be adding Breeze, but since many of our givers have Tithe.ly already set up it would be wonderfl it Tithe.ly could integrate with Breeze as well.

I am very impressed how easy it is to make and run reports through "Breeze". Breeze is set up in a easy way to navigate and see what you need at the time. If you have any questions , concerns, or anything you need added to breeze they answer you within 24 hours! Really impressed by this. The only difficulty I had was some on the membership information was not transferred correctly - this could of been problems with our old membership company.

Breeze software is scalable so it continues to remain perfectly functional as we grow. The software allows check-in, online calendar, membership management, online giving records, online signup forms, online giving and many other features in one software at one price that never goes up!

Cons

It would be nice to have an app that allows contacts to be kept offline or synced with phone. The check-in printer is sometimes glitchy as well.

Love it!

We didn't really have a systemized and affordable way to manage our year-round, summer, and winter community membership that empowered involvement, tracked complicated giving, and provided ways to keep information up-to-date. Breeze was the one stop management software we needed!

Pros

Easy interface, up-to-date and instant access to member data, volunteer management, contribution tracking, and online giving. It's worth it's weight in gold for our small parish. I'm a busy clergy person and my parishioners change their info frequently, so this type of management software that is easy to use, is critical to our capacity to keep things afloat. This is the second church I've used it at and will take it with me everywhere, big and small!!!

Cons

Some of the beta versions were clunky and confusing, but the team was always VERY helpful in navigating. The tutorial videos made it easy to implement.

It's a Breeze—really!

The intake crew is wonderful. I think I'm on about the third or fourth data conversion, and they have been uniformly patient and helpful.

Pros

Breeze is much easier for my attendance crew. I am hopeful that many of our parishioners will choose to update their own details and contact information. I have modified the member profile so that they can access our membership directory online so I will no longer spend time formatting and printing paper copies. And my pastor is very happy with the mapping feature.

Cons

There are a few things I miss from our former church management software. Instead of downloading an automated report from the old system, I now have to download pertinent data into an Excel or Word file and manipulate the data into a more usable form. The biggest learning curve for me has been to adjust from a household- to an individual-based system.

A solid option for church membership tracking

We are using Breeze to track the attendance of our members and follow up with members who may be slipping through the cracks.

Pros

Customer support is eager to help you work through your problems, especially as you begin using the software for the first time. It is easy to adapt to your church's needs. In my experience, other church membership software is often not suitable for other church groups due to differences in how each church functions. Breeze is very much adaptable to your own needs.

Cons

There are some simple, navigational issues in the software that still needs to be worked out. We often have non-tech savvy members who need to use this software, and Breeze CHMS is not always intuitive.

The more we use Breeze the better our efforts in reaching our goals. Our main purpose in signing up was to enter the Information Age with a older membership. Breeze has most definitely done that. It's been a slow process in educating our members to use Breeze but when the use it they like it and see the value.

Wonderful Church Membership Software!

Overall my experience with Breeze has been excellent. I used another software for 20 years and never thought I'd change (until they changed) and this move has been a great blessing. We are a church of about 800 on Sunday mornings and it works well for us. We use it for membership, check in, contributions, online giving, registrations, forms and much more.

Pros

Price, customer support and quality of customer support, easy to use, continually updating product. They use my data to show me solutions to my questions and it comes in less than an hour.

Cons

There is a financial part to Breeze. This really isn't a problem, we do have a working system.

Our church members are easily staying connected to others and the exciting happenings at the Orland Park Church, either from a browser or from the Breeze mobile app. Best Support Anywhere. The Support Team at Breeze is the best I've experienced. Each support team member has exceptional knowledge of the product, and also administers Breeze at their own church. Their ability to follow-up on tech support calls with helpful links, video's, and additional info is exceptional.

Cons

No Cons, We like everything that Breeze has to offer. An extremely well developed and well thought-out product.

Best Tech Support

We use the database to track our church membership, and it's great. We use a separate Visitor Management System and would like to integrate both into Breeze, but the additional charge is holding us back. So far, though, everything that we DO use Breeze for is seamless. We love Breeze and would use more of their functions if the cost weren't so high. Excellent tech support!

Pros

Breeze is so intuitive that I rarely need help, but when I do, their tech support team is not only incredibly knoweldgeable, but they are also so friendly and easy to work with. They always follow-up their phone calls with an email containing additional information that might help with whatever the problem is. There hasn't been a single time that the tech support team has disappointed us! :)

Cons

I wish it had more colors on the interface. I think the blue and gray is rather boring.

Have Feature to Add at Sub-directory

Ability to customize the sections in the People dashboard to include data we want and need to keep in our records. We have just recently made online giving available to our members, and it has been well received.

Cons

I would like to set up a sub-directory for Prospects, similar to the Archives for members who have passed away or moved to another church. I know that tags can be set up to do this, but then they are included in the regular membership. A sub-directory would be much more convenient. I would think that parishes with two or more churches would also like this feature.

Breeze - software that makes

Housing contact information in one place makes administration a breeze. Identifying groups of people by using the tags and being able to communicate to those specific people rather than the full membership. Texting has been very useful especially for the youth program. Mail merge makes the email personal which is important but also tends to make people respond. The email template options save time, standard emails can be saved and reused, which gives consistency, people appreciate that.

Pros

The product is easy to use. It integrates with MailChimp and PCO both of which we use. The online and personal help is quick and helpful.(great customer service experience). In the emails I can include links as well as pictures. Love the drag and drop feature for profile fields as well as building forms. The form building is similar to google docs. I have created many surveys & forms and they can be sent as a link or embedded which is great. The submitted surveys & forms can be attached to the specific member profile which is helpful.

Cons

Because of the pandemic we have not been using Breeze to it's fullest. I think there is much more that we will discover as we continue to use it. It has text out but not text in and that would be helpful. I find the email templates a bit frustrating because of the formatting. I often type my note in notepad first and then copy & paste into the breeze email, it saves the hassle of dealing with breeze formatting.

Breeze is more than a digital directory. Having the ability to cross reference the people, events, and contributions all in one place is amazing!

Pros

digital membership role - the ability to drill down by category and sort, and the ability to archive, the photo in the profile is a great asset to be able to put a face with a name contributions - being able to add them, see the overall giving and the ability for individual members to access their own contributions event check in - the ability to print tags, to look at who attended what event, to see who didn't attend and be able to download a list so that someone can reach out to those who missed

Cons

People making contributions do not yet have the option to pay their own fees, but I understand it is on the horizon to be an added feature

Very Dependable Support

I am still impressed and they keep making improvements, many of which I don't use but one day perhaps the secretary will be trained to use for different records of attendance, etc. I an impressed with their customer service. They can answer questions and guide me by phone, email, etc. I wanted especially to have my quarterly statements reflect pledges for individuals who pay in a previous year for an upcoming pledge. I thought I would have to do those few individuals statements manually because I would enter the current year and it would not show they had paid their pledge. I was pleasantly instructed to just change the fiscal year to include the month they paid and it would show the pledge paid and not confuse for their taxes which year they made their contribution. Worked great!

Pros

This software offers so many things that churches can use. In my case, I use the accounting side of the software which includes not just contributions, but names addresses, membership, phone numbers, mailing labels, etc. There are others parts of the software that I do not use but I am confident function as well as the portion I use. When I have a question or problem, I send an email and get almost instant reply along with some videos that explain how to use or solve a problem I am having.

Cons

At this point the quarterly statements and how much editing allowed is limited. However, I am pleased to say that it has improved since I first began. I wished I could download to WORD or pdf folder.

It Really is a Breeze!

We now have a working directory that we can customize. I hope to roll it out to the congregation soon so they can access it on their devices. Thank you Breeze for the Great Software and the exceptional support staff!

Pros

We are new to Breeze so I find another thing I like about it all the time. One of my favorite things is the ability to tag people; it allows me to pull up anyone in a tag (council members, ministry team members and volunteers, etc...) and send texts or emails straight out of the program. I also love the search ability, I can run a search for a targeted age group and pull up those who fall in that group. Our old membership software did not have either of these abilities and cost us $30 more per month.

Cons

I am still new to Breeze, so I am still learning. The thing that I like least is that when printing a directory grouping people into families I have not found a way to keep deceased family members from showing up n the directory.

I will never go back to another church management software

In my ministry, it is vital to have access to contact information and to know who has and who hasn't been attending so that we can follow up with them. Breeze makes this, literally, a breeze!

Pros

-Easily look up church attenders by a variety of search fields (including age, grade, membership status, etc.). -Easily take attendance for events and check-in children with the check-in system. -Quickly create a report to show who has or who hasn't attended in a specified period of time (great for follow up! -Not overly cumbersome. Other softwares that I have looked at are less user friendly and harder to learn. This one gives us all the features of the other ones without the learning curve. -Integrates with MailChimp -Easily download lists of each tagged group with contact info and more. -The price is amazing. We were paying exponentially more on another church management system and getting much less out of it than we are with Breeze.

Cons

-Since it is web based, the load times can take a little longer than I'd like (but I'm talking extra seconds, not minutes). -I've had an issue when trying to change the time of a recurring event--for some reason it only changes one specific instance instead of all of them, but that could be user error.

Easy to use software with great customer service

After reviewing dozens of church management systems, we selected Breeze ChMS to replace our current Windows based ChMS. I was able to easily setup Breeze so that we could retain all the data from our old system and import all the membership, attendance and contribution data from our old system. I provided a 2 hour training for the office staff and they have been using Breeze for 3 weeks with no problems....
