I used signup.com to create events for food donations for a service project my students were doing at the Ronald McDonald House. After I created the events--like donate 10 lbs of potatoes--Signup.com generated a link for folks to use to sign up to donate the needed items. The school administrative assistant sent the link to all the parents and all the needed items were 'signed' up for in just 5 hours! It was amazing. SIgnup also generated email reminders to those who signed up close to the day we needed the items brought to school Everything worked like a charm. Thanks

I really did not have any issues. The program let me customize the request--allowing me to upload images which made it more personal, which I appreciated.

I use signup.com to sign up church volunteers. The volunteers are mostly older church members that can easily use the signup. I like the printed reports and the ability to communicate with volunteers within the Signup.
Easy to use for people not tech savvy, ability to duplicate signups, love the email reminders for users, like to see all spots that a single user has signed up for
Limited themes with the free version. Ad free option too expensive for small group quarterly signups.

This was the first time I used Volunteer Spot to organize a potluck banquet. I'm not the most computer savvy person and the set up was even easy for me! No complaints either from the parents who used it to sign up! This is the only way to organize events! Such a time saver! Plan to use it again in the future! Thanks Volunteer Spot! We host an annual conference that moves around the county, so we set up the event, the shifts, and job descriptions and gave local partners the SignUp link to send to their volunteers. It was so turnkey and easy for everyone to understand.
You can access a free version, which had all the functionality we needed. The automatic shift reminders, the ability to let volunteers schedule themselves and the comprehensive reporting made this an ideal solution for us. It's also super simple to set up and use.
Anything I didn't like or wanted to see was available in the paid upgrade, so I really can't complain when I was getting everything for free.

Volunteers have control over their shifts, get reminders, and I get a roster for the day. It's easy to send out the link to invite people to volunteer.
Signup sends out reminders when a person signs up, when they change their shifts, and then at the time of the event. I organize an event once a year and Signup lets me duplicate the prior signup, then modify it with new dates.
It's pretty perfect. But I wish there were a more straightforward way to carry over a list of past volunteers to recruit them for the following year. I can do it, but it's a few steps and I worry about double mailing some of them.

Singup.com allowed me to manage the volunteers I got, communicate with them and reconfigure the functions as the event planning evolved.
Signup.com was easy to set up, figure out how to use and had all the features that we needed to sign up, assign and manage about 80 volunteers for about 150 different functions
No complaints, actually. Sometimes I had to poke around a bit to figure out how best to accomplish what I needed but I was quickly able to determine that what I needed was available and how best to get it done.

From beginning to end, the assistance I received from the company was a tremendous help and made it quite simple to achieve a successful outcome! Even the billing is quick, easy and flexible!
The online assistance was phenomenal, they answered all my questions quickly and in full. They also allowed me to set up a 1on1 with a trainer on how best to utilize the program. The autonomy of the individuals was a huge plus as well as the ability to customize the verbiage for both signing up as well as theyconfirmation email the individuals received was an added bonus!
None of the features were truly difficult although the initial understanding of exactly what the program was capable of required a meeting with and assistance from one of the trainers. But that was also very quick and simple as once I provided all the info, they set the rest of it up from their end and was so fast and easy!

Overall, I prefer this site to signup genius. I would love to use more of the features available under the paid version of the sulfur, but the cost of those features would not pay itself off for our small organization. The free version works well enough for us.
This site is great for creating sign ups for volunteers and donated items. The list are easy to set up on the web version. The sign-up list are archived and can be copied for future use, which is a huge time savings for planning future events! I love that the site automatically send an email three days before an event date to remind people of their commitment. It also provides the ability to mass email anyone on the sign-up list with any additional information about the event or need. I also use the mass email feature to think volunteers and donors at the end of the event. They also have the ability to link several sign-up list under one URL to be shared with the outside world, creating a one stop shop for sign-up list for a given organization.
Character spacing limits cause me to be creative when posting the sign-up list description and volunteer/donated item titles. The mobile version of the site is tricky to use, but on your phone, you can choose to view the desktop version for greater functionality.

The waiver part of it being integrated in and the ability to copy from year after year.
Easy of use. The paid features, especially the waivers is nice. We have over 200 volunteers and having to do the paper waivers was time consuming.
Mobile app is different and takes some getting used to. It does not work the same as the web interface.

If you need to track volunteer hours and activities this is the product to use. Very simple to set up and use. Great reports. And the customer service department is very responsive . I took over as the administrator for our schools volunteer program, and signup.com made the transition very painless while still ensuring that they didn't turn over our schools data to just anyone.

I’ve used SignUp to organize the appointments for my PTCs. I felt that it made everything run smoothly and that it took so much off my shoulders. I like the updates it sends to me as well as the reminders to the parents. It made a very tedious job run much more smoothly. Thank you!
The ease of individuals signing up for an appointment time that worked well for them.
I had trouble with managing the slots when a parent emailed me about a needed change. I’m sure it’s possible, I just didn’t see how to do it easily.

There isn't a manual! I "locked" myself out of my own form. The support required so much information that I re-created the report!

The product is easy to setup and our volunteers find it simple to use. We have been using this service for 3 years and have found it to be a BIG time saver. We shotgun out an email through sign-up.com to all of our registered volunteers. They can go the the sign-up area and choose which shifts they wish to volunteers. We have an active record of our volunteers spots that are filled and the volunteer receives a reminder email a few days before their volunteer shift. The biggest benefit is that I can clone previous events where we typically have the same need for volunteers. Simply change the dates for the event and all of the open shifts are automatically placed into the cloned event. WOW! Love this service!
The best thing about this product is that it is SO easy to use and setup. Our volunteers enjoy the ease of online sign-ups and the helpful reminders when their shift is near.
I love everything about the service. I have nothing negative to share.

I have been using Signup.com (formerly VoluneerSpot.com) for 9 years now in my volunteer role as the International Baccalaureate (IB) & Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Proctor Coordinator for our high school. It has been an excellent tool for me and I am most grateful to your team. Signup.com has allowed me to successfully help my kids’ school find parent proctors to help administer the IB and AP tests for the past 9 years. On an average, I needed to fill about 160 proctor spots every exam season which is over a 5-week period in the months of April and May. Signup.com allows me to connect with the parents effectively and efficiently months before the exam period starts. It also helps me manage with ease once the parents start signing up. I especially like the option of being able to lock dates to avoid parents arbitrarily canceling their spots the day before their assignment.

The limitation on the number of emails that you can upload all at once.

I needed to get volunteers to sign up for one-hour sessions over three days. It was easy to set up and 80% of people found it easy to use. I ended up with l 64% of my slots filled and easily.filled.in the rest by talking to the existing volunteers.
It's easy to use and has many good features.
Some people failed to find there way around it. For example they didn't see that I was.looking for volunteers in several days.

We have used this program for three years to sign up volunteers to work at our non-profit parking site during the Yarmouth Clam Festival. It has provided us an easy way for sign ups, reminders, and verification. We definitely will use it again. We couldn't do this with out it!!
Exceptionally easy signup process! Love the reminders to volunteers and the print out sheets of the schedule are great!
As the organizer, it took a little time to get use to the sequence needed to set up the schedule, but nothing major.

Thank you so much for your incredibly easy to use website. The parents of my students were able to sign up for testing time slots without a hitch. Being able to print the schedule really helped me as well.

This was our first time using this tool, and everything went very smoothly. It was helpful to have automated reminders, and an email summarizing who had signed up for each item. Our event was a great success!
The automated communications are tremendously helpful!
It was a bit challenging to order the items we were requesting people to bring. I had to name the categories alphabetically.

I have been coordinating our school carnival volunteers for 4 year now and have used volunteerspot from the very beginning. It is perfect for our needs and very easy to use. I love that I can copy the year before and create a duplicate with new dates so I only have to update the current years games/volunteer needs rather than starting over from the beginning. This year I was almost finished and the day before we were going to put the link live for volunteers to sign up the page was inadvertently deleted and panic set in. I contacted customer service and they were able to recover the information that I lost almost instantly and also addressed and corrected some major issues I was having with the sites speed! I would recommend using this site to anyone in need of a sign up site! It is awesome!!

I have been using this software for about 3 years now to organize the over 200 volunteers who manage our annual charitable event, a used book sale sponsored by the Friends of the Guelph Public Library. Although retired now (and volunteering!) I have worked with LOTS of software people in my nearly 30 years of IT work, and the SIGNUP support team are a notch way above the average in absolutely every way. They answer questions quickly. The FAQ's are actually helpful. The videos are sometimes all you need to understand a set-up issue. As well, they understand that most of the people who use their software are not made of money, and so are willing to allow some flexible payment adjustments if you cannot afford to "Drive the Cadillac" all year round. One thing that is very important is product consistency or improvement. This was a solid product when it was Volunteerspot, but it just keeps getting better. The transition to SignUp was completely seamless, no glitches at my end, and the new features that came along with the change to SignUp make this an excellent volunteer management tool. Do not hesitate to give this a try!

Amazing! It was easy to set up, relatively inexpensive, great customer service. Our volunteers loved the phone app. What a system! If we were short of a volunteer to cover a shift at a particular centre we sent a message to the apps, it pinged on hundreds of phones and usually someone offered to fill the slot in seconds. Ours was one of the first counties in Wales to meet covid vaccination targets - ensuring there were enough wayfinder volunteers at each site to help process people safely was crucial to that success, and Sign Up ensured we could do it. Thank you!
Initially we tried tracking volunteer using spreadsheets and phone calls. Considering we had three vaccination sites across a rural area and a a very ambitious programme to vaccinate the population in a short timescale and had many hundreds of volunteers, we needed a system which offered effective scheduling, rapid communication and good reporting systems. Sign Up was the ONLY commercially available system to offer this for volunteers - HR software might have worked but was too expensive as it contained lots of features you do not need when mobilising volunteers.
Nothing! The software is perfect for the application it is designed for - mobilising and managing volunteering!

Easy to use, Saved me time, gives participants the ease of signing up at their convenience, allows participants to see all the time options, sends me the final list in an organize fashion.
Takes a while to enter in all the times for people to sign up. However, if you repeat the event, you can copy/paste the schedule to a different date.
