A great informational network and organized report capabilities.
We rely very heavily on Charity Tracker and the information that it provides. Because of Charity Tracker, we now belong to a large network of organizations that are serving the same population. It keeps us in the know and organized with the capability of printing custom reports.
It is hard to find something about Charity Tracker that I don't like. The reports have a lot of fields I have to sift through that I don't need or use. I wish I could better customize only what I need.

I use Charity Tracker to run reports for accounting purposes and grant writing purposes. The ability to change the multiple filters to obtain the necessary information for each purpose is great. It is a tremendous help when categorizing expenditures, such as rent, utilities, food, etc.
Charity Tracker's software allows you run reports with a wide variety of filters to obtain almost any statistical grouping you need.
The functionality is great; however, the ability to go back and forth while editing the filters or generating new reports without having to start over could be better designed.

The biggest benefit is the ability to know when and where our clients are visiting and receiving services from other agencies in the area.
I like the connectivity to other agencies that enables us to better utilize our donated monies and serve our clients to the fullest.
The report section is difficult to use. I would like to be able to create reports in a multitude of different ways. Depending upon the need for information, whether for grant purposes or for a board meeting, the reporting takes a large amount of time and many times is not exactly how the information is needed.

Being able to cross reference client assistance from multiple agencies.
We love the ease of access to look up client records and see what assistance they have received throughout the area. We also use it daily to enter our case notes and documentation which we have the option to keep private.
When entering new client, wish the software would cross reference date of birth/name/ssn for duplicate records before making new profile. While we always search first before making a new record we have ran across duplicate records when dealing with our clients.

able to automate our process as it is not too difficult for volunteers to learn to use it. I did not mention this but if you could automate the month and days in monthly reports it would be great. 727-420-5176
It is available when you need it. It has what I need for entering client records. When adding products available for client use it is not too difficult.
not able to track volunteer hours and miles. Want to use scanner but only open 2 days per week so too costly for small organizations. When putting in product, if there is about to be a duplicate the software should alert you.

The ability to track who and how many we help, share with other agencies and pull information to write grants.
We are able to use the information to help us see, at a glance, how we have been able to help and how much. The release of information form helps us to be able to share with the Churches around us the needs as well. It is also a tremendous help with our grant writing.
Just little things that I would like to see the program do, but they are working on them and always making improvements. It does go down occasionally but they get it back rather quickly.

This program is easy to access and post information. The content allows us to more thoroughly assess the needs of clients and make referrals when needed. It has allowed users to work together with available resources in meeting the needs of people in our community. We realized during Hurricane Katrina long term recovery efforts that duplication of services could not be easily identified. We worked with Simon Solutions reps in developing this program, relaying what we needed to be able to see in a shared environment. They built the program and have continually improved it, making a world of difference, allowing better evaluations and more needs being met.
The software is great, if used properly. I have noticed that some users do not always enter enough information to clearly know how the client was assisted - but that is a user issue, not the software.

We strongly believe that everyone who is involved in any kind of charity work should use this software. You have no idea the impact it makes, and without it you may actually end up doing more harm than good in some cases. This software is worth it.
We can double check to see if the requestee has already been helped or if this is their first time. In this way, every charity location is given the opportunity to work as a team in serving those in need and truly helping them help themselves. Charity Tracker is so helpful to keep track of what has been done to serve those in need and make sure no one is taken advantage of. It is critical that others are aware of any risks that might occur with certain individuals.
It is not very user-intuitive, only in the way that we are so used to certain searching engine formats and this is not quite the same, so it takes a few tries to get used to it. This can be solved by simply taking some time to explore and figure it out, and there are very helpful videos in how to make the most out of this system. So it's really not that bad.

(1) We now a user friendly client system that will allow us to rapidly obtain client information (2) We are able to identify clients who are using different names or visiting multiple agencies to get services. (3) All agencies in our county are now working more closely together to help clients.
This software has helped our county set up its first system for tracking clients and assistance. Within the first few days it helped our ministry identify people who were using different names to receive duplicated services. We are also able to identify clients who are reporting different levels of incomes and different family members to the various agencies in order to obtain more services. Charity Tracker is having a big impact on our churches and small agencies who do not have trained interviewers or extra staff. As our ministry loads clients, it allows the smaller agencies to see all of the client information that they would not normally have access to.
The initial start up is time intensive as we have to load every client that comes in. With 14,000 assistance cases per year it will take us some extra time to get everyone loaded. Once they are loaded the first time this problem will go away and it will be much easier.

The reports are wonderful, but not sure how to condense them when we need to print them off. Overall, my experience has been good!
The software is easy to use and follow. We deal with older volunteers & most of them have caught on quite well meven though they do not consider themselves computer savvy.
Sharing the system with other agencies is a plus, but not being able to individualize our agency's assistance when we are checking to see when the client has been here or how we assisted them. It would be benefical if our agency's assistances would come up first. I know it can be narrowed down, but can be very time consuming. Some agencies have over 600+ requests in the system for individuals.

I have recommended this software to many church that I deal with on a daily basis, I believe that we are accountable to God for what happens in this ministry and Charity Tracker helps me keep uo with things.
It is so easy to use. Being able to post needs and alerts and track clients. Our agency has been using Charity Tracker for about five years and I am totally satisfied with the program.
Duplication of clients. If there were some way to catch it before several post have been added. I think other agencies are adding a new case instead of doing a search first.

Overal Charity Tracker is a really good product for low budgets.
Charity Tracker has is a wonderful product for the price. Customer service gets back to us fairly quickly with issues we have. This project runs all the reports that we need.
Recently our Local Food Bank required us to start using their database to collect information. For now we will be using both because Charity Tracker allows us to track more items. The only issue I have ever had with Charity Tracker is the wait time on some reports is a little long.

I would highly recommend that fellow non-profit agencies obtain and utilizes this program when working with the community. This makes it easy to assist and work with community resource agencies through out our community.
I am very pleased with how assessable this program is. The ease in integrating multiple program services throughout our agency allows us to keep all information updated.
The inability to delete duplicate files. This makes data entry difficult when verifying benefits to clients and also can cause duplicate services to individuals.

We are a library system, stepping into case management because we have two social workers. This allows us to have what we need without getting the library into a huge, expensive contract for services they don't fully understand. All of my social workers and interns are able to use this without a huge cost and it's pretty understandable.
Cost, customization, mobile access, and an AMAZING customer support staff. They are super responsive and helpful in ways that suprise me every time.
I'm not sure how HIPPA compliant this is. Also, the reports feature has a learning curve and it's a tough one!

It allows us to not maintain our own records for charity information, and it also allows us to insure that someone is not attempting to visit multiple charities in the same day since we provide emergency assistance.
It is easy to use, and convenient for sharing information between organizations. The software also maintains a lengthy history.
Different organizations sometimes end up entering the same person, and there is no way to combine profiles when this happens. Also, there is no way to submit a scanned copy of the ROI if one does not currently exist for a profile.

It is user friendly. You can print almost any type of report you want from the information gathered on your clients. You can also flag duplicates and see what other agencies are providing for clients as well. You can place warnings, ads etc. on Charity Tracker. I think every agency who has clients should at least try it this software.
The least thing I like about this software is that you can get to much information on your reports. You have to be pacific on what boxes you chose when generating reports.

Can make all the reports we need. Can find out if our clients have been to us in the last week... they can only come to us every other week.
Slow times. This isn't software related... Having to pay for each person who logs in. As a non-profit we have 5 computers going we're open. Those same 5 people are not here every time we're open so we have to add more names to the list. We're paying an extra per year because of this. I can get a lot of food. Should be able to log in as each computer no matter who is sitting at it.

We enter data for the community to see who we are serving. We set this up to help eliminate unneeded duplication of services. I think it helps some, but mostly agencies realize what we have entered after they have duplicated services. Also being able to see posts from others about needs in the community is great! It gives everyone a chance to help when they can.

Having the ability to do a monthly report by category helps so much in keeping on track and with being consistent. If I could handle that report writing part better this software is perfect for what we do.
Very valuable to be able to see what assistance an applicant has had before. Helps tremendously with decision making. Also very valuable to be able to look up what help, if any, GCC has given to an applicate.
Adding new people is very east. Updating existing applicants is very easy. Report set up is a little difficult.

We trust the information entered and know it is house securely. CharityTracker keeps getting better and better.
It's intuitive. Our training consists of showing someone how to log in, walking them through the service & tabs, then go...
The reports can be limiting. There is also limiting crossover between service and outcomes. For example: I would like to know how many of our clients have a goal, I can run a report to show how many clients we have, and a report that shows the percent that have completed an outcome at what level.

I have saved thousands in charity donations and have been able to warn other community members to be aware of what is going on.
The ease. No need to putz around it takes me to where I want to go. The amount of information is great . it allows us to catch different people using the same kids in requests for services. I have saved a fortune using this program
It is difficult with other users. People change addresses in the system sometimes on the same day. It would be nice to have those flagged down so we see it immediately

Chariot tracker has allowed me to better manage cases, and better familiarize myself with clients.
What I liked the most about this software is its case management functionality and it is easy to use.

I allows us to easily gather client information and share it with other community non profits that serve the same group. We can then make sure that resources are being shared sufficiently.
The most important information is on the front page of each account which is accessible without digging . The photo of each client is so helpful for identifying people when they are here in person.
I don't like that when checking relationships the entire SS# is not posted. It requires going into each individual account to get the information.

We couldn't do as good of a job with the benevolence ministry here without it. After the tornado we were slammed with people taking advantage of our generosity and bouncing from Church to Church taking what they didn't need. This allowed us to recognize the importance of communicating with other ministries, so that we really get to help those in need to them help themselves and not just take advantage of generosity inappropriately. This also allowed us to team up to do more good than we could have on our own. Charity Tracker is an excellent tool that should be used by any ministry.
1. The ability to see what has been done for an individual in order to help them more accurately. 2. The notes and alerts have saved us a few times. 3. Working with other ministries in town to help individuals we wouldn't be able to help on our own. 4. Learning of other ministry's efforts and having the opportunity to respond and help.
The site is a little awkward to navigate, it took some time to get used to. We only have a couple members of our team with access for confidentiality purposes, but it took them a while to catch on.
