Church Windows vs ProPresenter Comparison

What I love most about ProPresenter is the functionality and the cleanliness. Many scriptures are available ready to download with the stock program with many other bibles ready for purchase inside the program. You can add cameras, display social media posts, add logos, and so much more.

It IS more seamless on a MacBook than a Windows, this can be a little tricky for some church campuses, they may need to upgrade.

The ease of use and almost overkill of features is what I like most. Our volunteers are not the most tech savvy and they have no problem operating ProPresenter during a Sunday worship Service. I also like how it is specifically designed to be used with Apple products. I love the ability to control the presentation with my iPod and iPhone! We are spoiled with these features.

The cost is steep for our small church but is worth it for us to be capable of putting on mega-church quality presentations.

We have loved how this software has simplified our lyric projection needs at church. No longer do we need multiple programs and windows open just to execute our Sunday worship services. WIth ProPresenter, we have one program powerful enough to do it all!

There is a significant learning curve to using the software. The time spent learning ProPresenter is absolutely worth it, but it is good to know that going in.

Ease of use. They’ve really done a great job through the years improving on how to support a church service/ministry moment. Integrations with 3rd party, like Planning Center and made it all very simple.

Cost is a little high for a small church.

It ease of use, the simplicity of switching from source to the other without having to using multiple windows! Allowing the viewer to have the representative’s different options of displaying information to the speaker! It gives a very professional feel, even inside of a church

There have been a few crashes here and there but overall the product value outweighs some of the small issues you’ll come across.

I've been using ProP for 10 years. My personal use has been mainly small churches with simple lyric cues and occasional videos. I put the show together and let pre-teens run it! I also use ProP once a year for a major conference of 2000 people. We use a few more features and have gone from being a one-person​ basic operation to multi-computer A/V team

It's pricey for the small church; however, well worth the investment.

It is very difficult to learn and teach people at our church.

I really like that I can have it on my phone and sit with my wife while I share the verses from the preaching. I like that we can add anything to the computer and project it to the screen. I volunteer in my church once a month and I feel it’s easy to use, edit slides, add songs, etc.

The version we have (don’t know if there’s a new one) can only use the King James Version and sometime the preacher or the worship leader quote a verse in other version and it's awkward to project the King James one. I don’t know all the features some seem a bit complicated like countdowns but once you get them it’s easier

The ability to tailor a service to the scale of church you belong to. Our church is small and our ability to put lyrics on the screen and present information to our parishioners is what makes our church comfortable and welcoming.

There have been a number of times where I have wondered if ProPresenter could do something and after enough research have found that it could. I have been consistently pleased with the capabilities of the software.

This is probably a bit unfair but I wish it could import Power Point files as is with animations, video clips, etc. It would save some time.

Ease of learning and suitability for Church displays.

System hangs sometimes, but am not sure if this is the software or the application. Inability to change operating system.. Would now prefer Windows version

There was a learning curve initially and the price is higher than most.

We like the graphics as well as the integration with Song Select.

There is quite a learning curve for the inexperienced user in a small local church.

This really does make displaying media in a church so simple! I have people using ProPresenter with no previous training. We use this throughout our church.

Sometimes the program will start acting funny. Either it won't connect or will run super slow. I usually restart the program and it works fine after that. It's really a minor complaint, but it can be annoying nonetheless.

I may be an outlier for their typical user. I have used this as a church staffer for sure. Almost every church I've been to has used ProPresenter. The software is easy to use for volunteers, customize for your church, and do what you need it to do. I've also used this as a business owner to give presentations outside of the church atmosphere.

If I had to pick anything to dislike about this software, it would have to be license restrictions. I get it that you cannot use the same license on multiple computers simultaneously, but I've had to toggle back and forth between computers in different parts of the church before.

I've used Pro Presenter for nearly a decade and they've always been excellent. Truly​. The user interface is second to none. And the versatile use from a church plant in a school to a mega-church of 20,000 is unmatched.

The only thing that was a downside for our current church plant was the upfront​ cost.
