We have worked with other software like bid pal in the past and I prefer gestures as they have easier and more fluid capabilities for what we need.

Pros

They have staff that assists along side our staff and have made event check in/out a seamless process

Cons

Custom reports are a little more difficult.

While their is a learning curve for all, we feel that mobile bidding is the wave of the future.

Pros

The auction results reporting saved hours of manual calculation.

Cons

While the sign making function is a big time saver, the printed signs were not as visually impactful as those we had previously designed. The formatting could be improved.

Easy to use and the onsite staff during our event were amazing.

Pros

It was very user friendly. The support staff were very helpful whenever I had a question. The onsite staff during the event were phenomenal and made such a difference at our event.

Cons

I'd like them to be more reader friendly, instead of simply Excel exports.

Used For Event Registration and Silent Auction

I believe it paid for itself with its silent auction mobile bidding functionality, but we would not get that kind of ROI with our smaller events, so it's too expensive to use more than once per year.

Pros

Communication during implementation was great.

Cons

We'd use it for most of our events if the pricing wasn't on a per-event basis. We'd love to see a subscription-based pricing model.

This software has streamlined our event process making report processes to our Board and Committees easier and better organized.

Pros

The customer support is great and always available. The reports produced by the software are very helpful in making decisions for the future of our events.

Cons

Some of the functionality is a bit cumbersome as in changing labels for items that are "out of the ordinary" realm.

There were older reports that we were sent which were easier to use to reconcile sales and use with QuickBooks and Raiser's Edge.

Great tracking of donors and donations; an easy and effective platform to highlight sponsors of our event; a great summary of our night.

Pros

We love the dashboard. It's incredibly motivating to see our progress as the event unfolds.

The user interface was a great experience for our bidders while the backend of the platform was simple and easy for our staff to navigate and use.

Cons

While the current photo process is very simple, I would like to see an automatic pairing of photos with items when doing a mass upload of items into the system instead of adding each individually.

Easy to use- update - manage -Like the push notification options -Photo adding seems easy -Like the customization header options

Cons

-When you try to print more than 1 - 5" x 7" it will not let you completely format that so you end up wasting a lot of paper -Would be nice to have a scrolling screen of featured items or a way to highlight different items other than through push notifications

Aside from the comprehensive report, everything else with gestures was fairly simple and easy to use.

Pros

We used it for check in and the process was simple and easy to understand for our volunteers at registration to find info.

Cons

During the check in process we were unable to search by table number which would have been helpful because sometimes we are asked who is sitting at a certain table and it would be nice to look up by table.

The software is so easy to use, from a loading standpoint to the night of the event.

Cons

I did ask to add a report that would identify items during our event that were at a certain percent under fmv so that could be sent out, but it's very good software.

I have been able to generate reports that I need for sharing with my committee and for tax letters.

Pros

You can send out text messages to your guests for reminders like auction open for bidding, parking, auction closing, links to photos post event, etc.

Cons

Not a major problem, just wish it was a feature. Overall it is a great system!

An mobile version of craiglist for bidding

Pros

It's really simple to learn and use this software. Layout is very simple for non-techy people to pick out and perform the bidding.

Cons

And the bidding numbers dont update until you refresh the current fragment or activity.

Pros

The software is intuitive to use and streamlines so many of the processes that eat up your time when you have to do them manually; we eliminated so many Excel spreadsheets, thanks to everything being easily captured, managed, and tracked right within the software - from auction packages to ticket sales to even the seating and meal requests.

Cons

It would also be helpful if raffle winners could be "drawn" right in the software, rather than needing to use a random number generator on a third party site.

Pros

I like all the different views I can look at it through. Like based on donors or items, it's very helpful.

Cons

I don't personally have any problems, but I know our accountant feels that the reports could be clearer for her purposes.
