We shopped around for something affordable. I have works with other CRMs that were even more difficult to navigate but when we were able to master them, it was useful. With Keela, I was hoping for a little more ease.

Pros
The price and the access. It is easy to share with colleagues, has great sections of it suite.

Cons
Although it is easy to access I seem to get lost trying to use it. As a CRM, I am sure it is not in anyway easy but I would think it could be, maybe. It also looks confusing. Is it in Dark Mode yet colorful and blocky.

Help is done through emails and website; no telephone support at all (keeps costs low, but frustrating for user). Integration with many other platforms is excellent. Somewhat clunky to use; limited features; no mobile app. Tasks and contact features are great.

Keela is easy to use and low cost with great integration with other applications.

Cons
Limited features (for example sorting) and no specific application for grants or project tracking (but does have task feature).

The pricing feels expensive to a small nonprofit that doesn't usually spend money on anything but the animals in our care, but compared to others software programs, it is seems like a good price for the value. This software works well for a small nonprofit animal rescue that adopts out about 500 cats and kittens a year. After 3 years we had a bit over 1000 contacts (including adopters, so not just donors) and the next level in Keela (since it's based on contacts) we shouldn't have to buy until a few years down the road.

Pros
Their customer service is very responsive. The software sends automatic donor thank yous/tax receipts. It's easy to upload past donations (like from PayPal, Facebook or other ways you've raised money and have a list - you must format the data correctly) and easy to upload your contacts. You can have different donation forms. You can have different campaigns. I haven't delved deeply into the reporting, but it looks very powerful and probably pretty easy to create custom/ad hoc reports on almost whatever criteria you need.

Cons
The tax receipt/thank you letter is my biggest con. The letter and tax receipt look great in the preview when you're creating/modifying it, but the actual letter that gets sent has tiny print, and you can not modify what it looks like.

Pros
The customer service has been good, the platform offers a robust feature set with good customization. We are still learning and implementing the tool and it feels like it has a lot of more to offer as we continue to integrate it into our daily operation. Some of the other platforms didn't offer as much flexible control. The pricing feels fair and transparent. As we were looking for a tool the more established systems were too expensive and were hard to get a good sense of and the cheaper systems lacked a lot of features that we were looking for. Keela feels like the right balance, and we have already seen updates and new features that make it a better solution.

Cons
The user interface is good but there are areas where it feels old and clunky and a little confusing. The report creation and segmentation tools in particular feel like they could be streamlined. The tools work but they feel like they are lagging behind some of the other user experiences in other parts of the Keela platform. That's a small complaint so far very happy and excited to continue to learn the platform.

I am happy to have one piece of software at that does not require customization and is affordable for a small non-profit like ours.

Pros
It is very easy to start using. I was able to easily import my data and get to work pulling numbers. The customer service has been very responsive and pleasant. I really enjoy my interactions and have been able to quickly overcome obstacles. I am happy that it meets so many of our needs -- weekly email blasts, moves management for donors, and volunteer activities -- at a reasonable price my small non-profit can afford.

Cons
We have had some difficulty with email provider spam filters rejecting our Keela-generated emails before users can even see them. This has reduced our open rate on my weekly emails -- which are very popular with our members. I wish I could pick the attribute that we use to avoid duplicates.

Keela has fundamentally changed how I manage my organization's donors and how I communicate with our community. The interface is so easy to use and affordable for a small community museum like ours.

Pros
I love that Keela is Canadian based and offers a complete cloud-based CMS and donor management system. It's a great value for the money and their onboarding and customer service are fantastic. I know the name of the person who helps me when I run into problems.

Cons
Some features are still in development. I'd like to be able to customize receipts and automatic replies a little more than currently offered. However, Keela's development portal makes it easy to submit recommendations and see what's next for product roll out.

As for customizing receipts, we have options for customizing receipts for certain campaigns and impact areas coming - estimated for our 2.7.2 release. Keep an eye out for this! Addintally, custom automated emails are also on their way. We call these 'email drips' which have been added to the planned tab in our Portal. We made the switch from an overpriced, under-utilized database software to Keela. The switch pretty smooth, not without a few learning moments, but all the data was imported. It meets our needs for receiving and tracking donations, receipting, e-blasts, reporting, and it comes with an affordable price tag! Customer support has been great. Overall, we are very happy with the software after using it for 6+months.

Pros
The software is straightforward, fairly intuitive and does most of what we need it to do. The setup for donations through the software was simple. The email platform saves us from having to pay for a separate email service. Most of all, I appreciate the helpful customer support. They answer questions in a timely fashion and have made the overall experience really good!

Cons
The sidebar is limited and should include a quicker link to things like donations, e-blast, etc. In order to use the CRM platform, I have to click through 3 pages to put in a note about a donor. Adding some quicker links for this, including putting an interaction link on the "+" at the top of the page would up my rating of the software.

We used eTapestry for years and you needed a PHD to use it and pay them for set up. Keela normal computer users can learn and use Keela

Pros
Easy of use, set up and price. We were able to set up our donor page ourselves - very easy.

Cons
The limit of credit card processors. It would be good for nonprofit not to have to use high priced processors.

There were some minor things that the software couldn't do. Manually uploading your existing data takes time, too -- be ready to have someone spend a day uploading anything you currently have!

Pros
I really like the features including templates for emails, the ability to link donations to sources and soft credits, the online embeddable forms and the ability to have many impact areas. The customer service is exemplary.

Cons
A few things I wish were easier. There is no debit option for payment type and reports can be difficult to navigate.

The worst I have every experience with software company's! They are con artists taking advantage of a non profits! PLEASE be careful! They are really nice and put on a great sale with their demos and offer you big discounts on a yearly price to get you to sign that day! I was dumb and trusting and now I'm paying the price!

Pros
I was sold on how easy it was to use and figure why not try for 2 weeks free! BIGGEST MISTAKE!!! THEY don't give you your money back!

Cons
They lied about everything that I was wanting the software to do and now for us to receive our money back we would have to thing we told them we were never going to use their software first. I would never let them touch our donations or near our website. Can't get anyone on the phone! And costumer service takes hours to get back to you and want you to go to webinars for help.

Keela has given us a reliable CRM that's useful for running our nonprofit: basic contact management, mailings, and memberships (integrated with Stripe and our website).

Pros
We needed a good low-cost CRM that's easy to set up and maintain. We did a lot of research, and Keela was our choice. Setup went pretty smoothly and it's now in production as our CRM and managing our mailings. Six months later, we're still really happy with it.

Cons
Being very simple is a double-edged sword. There are definitely things Keela can't do that more advanced systems can, but we don't really need them because we're small. They're constantly improving, but we haven't gotten onto their 2.0 platform yet because data migration is still not finished.

I enjoy the project management and task feature. Being able to assign tasks to different members within my organization has been extremely beneficial. I also really enjoy having the contacts all in one place with tags to use to our benefit. So simple yet effective!

Cons
I love everything about this software, but the thing I enjoy least is the price. Since I have to choose something!

Overall, implementation of Keela was fairly painless. The Keela team is very responsive and hospitable. The features you get for the price are excellent, I would (and have) recommended Keela to other organizations!

Pros
Keela is fairly easy to get started on and use. It has a fairly intuitive interface and an attractive look. The integrations with Google are appreciated. The price, for a small budget non-profit like ours, is pretty good.

Cons
I wish there was a way to assign donations and memberships to Households, not just individual contacts. Most of our members and donors are institutions.

I researched 8 different CRM's and Keela was by far the best. Their customer service is excellent. I always get a response within 24 hours if not sooner. The software is pretty user-friendly but Keela provides online training that is very thorough.

Pros
Keela is simple, user-friendly and has all the features of expensive CRM's.

Cons
Keela is still fairly new so they are working out glitches and adding on what users want.

Quick to respond to our questions, this is very valuable to us!

Pros
Lots of users can have their own log-ins Reasonably​ priced Customer​ service is fantastic Easy to keep track of volunteers, donors, etc. Making 'forms' is simple FAQ section is actually useful!

Cons
Sometimes​ it's a little hard to navigate. Lots of clicking to get to some sections.
