I like being able to enter giving and print reports from home. Also like the cloud-based feature so we don't have to worry about backups.
I have very little to complain about with this software. Occasionally the print function is a bit slow.

Quick, effective communication
I think realm is a great resource for churches to create their own iunique social network or space. Through multi-level communication, community building, and announcements, realm is a neat experiment in tailored social, online connections for churches.
In creating a social network, it can at times become just another social media platform, or another news feed you feel you have to keep track of or maintain to some extent. In other words, it can become a bit more like a newsletter service than anything else depending on the culture of the church and buy in.

It has all of the information I need about people and tracks our giving really well. I also like that my husband (one of the pastors) can find any informafion he needs at any time and it makes giving very easy.
I have had a hard time learning it. When it comes to managing groups, it works really well, it just has a steep learning curve for people that aren't as tech savvy which is the case for a lot of our group leaders.

Realm is all encompassing - has data on members/visitors, serves as a social platform, and can be used for administrative purposes as well. The tool is very user friendly and intuitive. We just switched from another system and the transition was easy because of the mass upload functionality and the plethora of training materials / help guides.
I wish there was a way to autoselect a service - our church has 2 different services and it would be helpful to see this functionality autopopulated so that we don't need to click for each person we're checking in.

Realm is simply the best solution available in a market without many well-integrated products available yet. Constant improvement will only make it better.
Concept, integrations with kids check, social group posting.

The overall look of the site is not that appealing but I think this is a minor con when it comes to the program.

Pathways are a great way to design work flow. It's basically a tool box to customize work flow and processes.
Inability to define user permissions as we want. Some permissions are inappropriately admin privileges only.

It's easier to use, it's fast. the biggest thing is it is intuitive--it works the way one would expect it to.

We love Realm! It's made connecting staff with members so much easier than a paper directory ever could! We're currently rolling Realm out parish wide for parishioners to use which comes with many questions. The Realm staff has been wonderful about helping us troubleshoot and responding with a solution in a timely manner!

Realm has many great options and will likely continue to improve. As the software is starting, though, it still leaves much to be desired in the actually application of the product and ease of use.
Realm has all the features you could want. It would be excellent for one starting out with no other database/software in place. It has scheduling, giving, bookkeeping, and more. Really a great product.
It is really expensive and you cannot transfer a lot from a current database. If you currently use Quickbooks, you cannot transfer any of that data over. Very frustrating to have to start from scratch.

We have been using Realm for a few months, having transitioned from ACS Peoplesuite. Realm is far prettier and more user-friendly than Peoplesuite, but it still has a long way to go in developing reports and other functionality.
It is very easy for people who are new to Realm to figure out how to use it. I have received great feedback from those few in our staff and congregation who have tried it.
The reports are few, and the ability to export a custom report to Excel is not there yet. I can't wait until Payroll is ready in Realm, so that we can add financials.

What I like most about Realm after switching from ACS is that Realm is cloud based and can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection
We just started using Realm so the only thing I like least about it right now is that I have yet to learn how to use it to the best of its ability. But I am sure that will change in the coming weeks and months.

I like the lack of advertisements and the simplicity. It's also a nice tool to keep in touch. It is simple.
It is difficult to figure out how to set up the settings for notifications. I want to turn off emails and just get notifications.
