The basic use is much easier to engage people. We can get staff using it. This tool has both sides of financial record keeping!
the email tool is too limited. We can't make it look any better, it doesn't keep a record of what is sent. The custom queries are still difficult for staff to understand and do on their own.

Realm provides us with one place to track biographical information, engagement in our community, pledging, as well as information on our vendors, tools to generate reports and harvest data; all in one intuitive platform that I can access equally well from my desktop or my cell phone.
Realm is simple, intuitive, and powerful
. . . . nothing. I cannot think of anything about Realm or Realm customer service that I would change.

With this software, I was able to integrate and inform members of our church body with critical information. This software really facilitated interactivity and consistent communication with almost everyone.
I like the increased opportunities to privately post and talk with people on a closed social network of other believers. This is way more effective than email, text messaging, and website management. It also gives us an opportunity to facilitate real discussions, prayer concerns, announcements, etc. without advertising to those outside of the church.
Sometimes the software is a bit glitchy on iOS devices and android devices. There is also no way to copy and paste onto the mobile software. That's a big drawback.

With the app and the fact that it is cloud based, you can access/work from anywhere. Also, members can update their own information. We use the online giving, and it will automatically post contributions to the members statement.
The fact that when you change a members information on the admin side and it does not reflect that change on the accounting side.

It has been an incredible tool for us to communicate with our congregation throughout the week and also to maintain current and reliable records of congregants, helping us keep people from falling through the cracks and not being engaged by the church in some way. We have loved Realm!
The ease of use on the backend as well as the modern platform feel for the users.
Occasionally I have had issues with pasting a Vimeo link in and instead of embedding the video (like it typically does), it just has the link instead. Might be an issue on Macs, since we haven't had that problem on any PCs.

We purchased Realm with the goal of having multiple uses in our Parish, especially event attendee tracking, giving history, identifying different groups within the Parish and customizing communication to them. Generating year end tax statements is especially user friendly.
Two features stand out in their ease of use and helpfulness in tracking and identifying Parishioners. First, the search feature, and second, the reporting feature. This reveals how all of the information we are entering into the system works for our different groups - from event attendee tracking, or sending a year end tax statement.
The one problem with this software was the download of information from our prior software program, which was awkward. This resulted in certain information being populated in inaccurate fields in Realm.

Benefits are that we now have e-giving, which really helps in my work load!
The ease of learning it and the help files. The support is good too.
Well it has so many features, you can get overwhelmed if you try to use them all.

Ease of use. It is very simple for our members to go to realm and get contact info for other members. Realm has also made it easy for our treasurer to track financial giving. Realm has made online giving very simple as well. Before, we were on the fence on whether to go that route or not. But with Realm, that decision was easy. We've been using that feature for a year now, and have not regretted it one bit.
When we signed up with realm (several years ago now) they told us that a mass-texting feature was on the way. This was one of the things which caused us to go with realm over other options. However this feature is still not available. Hopefully it is still in the works??

Saves time and allows me to get information out quickly.
It can be accessed from any device. The members of our congregation are learning to communicate with one another and are finding value.
This is hard to say. Our biggest complaint is being able to turn off the email notifications. I have sent out instructions and hope that these will catch on.

The interface is is easy to use and understand. Sometimes it's almost too easy! It helps us tracking engagement of our membership and check in with those folks we haven't seen in a bit. The security features for Children's check-in give our parents peace of mind.
From a stewardship standpoint it would be nice if the querying function had some more robust reporting options. We don't use the matching Accounting software so importing in to a different ACS product is challenging.

i love the company. they are always asking us how they can improve. trying to work with ideas the customer has. very good at follow up. great tech support.
is very user friendly-coming from a non tech person. works well with our needs.
sometimes take a while to get some things changed-like we have an idea about what we want and it take the tech people a while to get it implemented.

I wonder if Realm works better for larger churches. We have lots of problems with it. You can't print labels straight from groups, registration events are way more complex than they need to be....it isn't a perfect solution. I do know that our bookkeeper finds it very helpful so it may be my role and what I need Realm to do that is the problem.
The directory is helpful, and the customer support is good. My favorite part about Realm is the annual conference.
The programming is done in such a way that the software is not very user-friendly.

The ministerial staff wanted a way to connect with church members without using email and/or social media. We have found that most members rather use email and social media as their sources for information.
I like having the ACS support staff to help when I have questions. Groups are good to have when I need to send a message to all members of a group.
Realm is not very report friendly. I am accustomed to querying on any field with People but Realm doesn't react well to multiple field queries. The financial (contributions) portion is based on "gift date" rather than "deposit date" which most general ledgers use "deposit date" as the basis for all reports.

Overall experience with Realm has been wonderful and if I have any problems, I just call and get my answer. Customer care has been wonderful.
We started out with ACS many years ago. I like all that Realm has to offer.
I have had no cons about this program. Enjoyed it from the beginning.

Provides another tool for improved communications with congregation. Used by staff to manage people's information and giving. We use Checkin weekly for 120 students and approximately 500 children. We are still ramping up Realm use within our 200+ small groups, but those group leaders who have embraced it are fans!
Realm is generally intuitive and easy to use. We are pleased to see the new features rolling out this year and the roadmap planned for 2019.
As a new product, it still needs more granularity in reporting capability. Need to be able to search all data fields and do mass changes on additional data fields, such as Family Position once children age out.

The help from the Representative and understanding my work more clearly.
User friendly and easy to find what I'm looking for. Reports are easy to understand. Easy to find what I am looking for.
It does not have Payroll which have us to work out of another software for that purpose. When calling Realm it does take a bit long for someone to answer the phone, i understand you are helping other people situations as well and i thank you for helping me every time i call.

I have always loved how easy it is to use & figure out. In the 7 years I've used, I've loved the integration with other apps/companies.
Might be getting to be too much. There is a lot of new stuff and I'm just one person. I can't get to it all.

The families being linked together makes things so much easier. Allowing leaders to see some but not all of the profiles is great. Taking attendance while in class is helpful. Just started using the accounting part - still learning.
The Customer Service. They are the best of anyone I deal with. They have never sounded put off by helping us. They know the product well enough to have never had to "put me through to another dept." where we all know usually means disconnection.

Intuitive. A step up from the City in features. Easy to use. Solid offering for the price but it does not function well on the web.
Several critical errors. The website version of Realm is divided into two platforms: backend admin and community. Backend stays persistent and responsive even when you navigate away or do not use it for a while. The Community side dies if you move away and takes minutes, if ever, to load pages upon your return. You will notice this on Messages and Events (Community side) but not on Groups and Giving...

We have solved our accounting issues by keeping them extremely organized.
The ability and ease of communicating to our church and the different ministry groups within our system.
There have been several glitches that have happened. Some of them took a few days to resolve.

Ease of use, ability to store info about parishioners and link family members.
Created for churches with their special needs - like 'giving' instead of invoices. I used Quick Books before and even though it was the non-profit version, it was hard to use and statements were very much disliked by parishioners.
That I didn't find it sooner! There really is nothing I dislike. Even the ability to suggest enhancements is terrific.

It is very easy to use. It is very functional and I need to learn how to use it to its fullest potential.
It would be nice if there was some sort of texting feature built into it. Also, I would love to have automated/scheduled emails as well.
