The ease of entering information and profiles was easy enough. Clear fields and adequate adaptations are there.
As a large, growing church, we really needed a fresher program that had the flexibility needed to handle all the newest trends in electronic connectivity. This did not have what we were looking for anymore.

Great for creating photo directories on our own. Also a good reporting tool
Easy to use, comprehensive, adaptable, etc.
Cost to upgrade and use newer features...we are a small church by current membership but when we started it was large and we have a large database of records....hence costs to upgrade....

It does matter if you are a small church with limited staff or a large church with multi-users, Servant Keeper will simplify your data management in every way.
I bought Servant Keeper in 1997 because it was the most powerful most affordable church management system. I bought it for the same reason while in two other churches and I helped my local denominational office purchase it as well. Besides the affordability, the best feature is that you can customize any of the fields to your on situation or church. This gives you freedom to create groups, searches and the data any way you need or want. It is THE best way to email any small group or your entire membership. I would recommend Servant Keeper to any church for managing their memebership data without hesitation; it is simply the best on the market.
Because S/K is so powerful, it can be a little over whelming at first, but anyone can learn to do the basic functions quickly, even if they are not strong in computers. It is a little difficult to manage with multi-users in multi-locations. We have volunteers using it and sometimes in their home. I wish there was a backup system that could be use over the internet some how. This is my only complaint, but we have found a work around to solve this issue with us.

It's very detailed in record keeping.
The search queries make finding groups, reverse number searches, families, profiles and more so easy.
When making a list or labels it choses from 'all records' instead of the list that is currently active. It is solved by choosing which list you prefer.

I have used this program in previous churches for the last 30 years. It continues to be very helpful.
Ease of use. Many choices of reports. The ability to keep deleted records without it being added to my total family number.
Not having a drop down for the multiple users. I always have to type in the full ID then password.

Frustrating in it's old world tech. Slowly it is catching up, year by year, but who has time to wait another decade for friendly software?
Entry of contributions and members is easy-- once known
Very Poor links between modules to link info. Simple tasks like generating a report are met with clumsy, hard to find ways to print pages of address labels or envelopes. Many obvious office tasks are buried in programing double speak and in this small office find it extremely frustrating to use. It seems the plan is to get us and all to buy the mail chimp/ help desk to continue the rip after paying for the program.

THE CONTRIBUTION MANAGER REPORTS SUPPLY US WITH A PLETHORA OF INFORMATION. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. THEY WILL DO WHATEVER THEY CAN TO HELP YOU.
THE GRAPHS NEED IMPROVEMENT. WHEN YOU PRINT OUT THE GRAPHS YOU CANNOT READ THE NIMBERS DUE TO THE COLOR CONTRAST.

It takes some time to learn, but the many applications of the product are wonderful. I like the ease of use between modalities of the product too.
SK writer is difficult to use because of its look-alike quality to Word, but once the shortcuts are learned it is nice to be able to use for mass mailings.

This is a great program with ability to keep track of donations and catagorize them, providing a host of report options, as well as a member database with more report options than you would ever need.
There is absolutely nothing I dislike about this program.

Ease of use; very flexible; highly functional for all users
Everything! This system is so user friendly and intuitive. You can tell that people who actually are familiar with the ins & outs of church data usage had some input into the development of this software package. Being a systems design/development person, I can tell immediately if a package was designed mostly developers w/very little (if any) end user input or knowledge or if actual knowledgeable users were involved, as it makes a WORLD of difference.

Applaud rep team from the Help Desk. They were very helpful and patient with a nervous secretary dealing with computer changes.
Been using Servant Keeper for a long time.easy to work with.
Not a fan of upgrading all the time. But our archdioceses suggest that we do. But that is not a dislike of the software.

I am happy with it, it's one of the best "Bang for you Buck" programs out there for maintaining a church database.
Ease of use and navigation, cost effective, availability for training seminars.
How to go about adding folks to a group/class-I feel there is am easier way.

Its very easy. Also, if there is a question about any part of the software the help desk is available.
I need more training on the different features within the software. So I am determined to sign to the online teaching to learn all I can and also attend the on-site training class.

Customer support was very gracious and helpful when we had to reload our program after a computer crash. It relieved a lot of stress.
It has all of the features and then some that we use as a smaller church.
Uploading the data from a backup thumb drive was a challenge

I have just started using this program, we completed the conversion today. To date, I have found this program to be extremely user friendly. I am anticipating this program to significantly reduce our redundancy in the office while providing critical information in a very timely manner.
No facility management/scheduling feature.

Customer service is very good. Always walks through it with me and helps. Sometimes on hold way too long because it costs money for our church for the phone call.
Easy to use when I learn how to use it.
Sometimes instructions not so easy so I need to call the help desk.

Perfect for small and large churches. easy to sort data and manage lists, run reports, etc.
It is easy to run reports and to manage the data. The "Language" makes sense! I was in charge of the installation of the software as well as the data transfer and it (thankfully) went very smoothly and I'm not an IT person at all!
I haven't really found anything yet that doesn't meet our needs. So far its great! Have used it for 1 year.

It's been a great experience for me as the previous program we used was over 20 years old!
This software package is very user friendly and handles all the different aspects of our admin i.e. Membership, Contributions, Attendance, etc.
So far I haven't found any cons with this software itself. If I've ever had a question or problem using the software the Help Desk is quick, friendly and efficiently explains what I need to do.

Easy membership management; creating classes and groups; keeping up with attendance and running reports.... All easily accomplished with Servant Keeper.
When I came into this job, Servant Keeper was downloaded, data had been added, but no one had taken the reigns to get it up and running. Because I came in late to the game, I missed out on training. But with just the manual and getting into the program and playing around with it, I learned it easily and quickly. It's the most user friendly management databases I've ever used.
In my experience, there were never any huge issues or parts of the program that I didn't like.

I wish the wait wasn't so long when calling for assistance. However, they always take care of my concerns in an efficient and professional manner.
