Pros

The program is strong, the ability that you can use from the cloud for me is the best, I can work in the cloud from my office or from my client office, that save time to me, and money to my client.
Acumatica has a built in CRM that helps to integrate the sales and operations process to finance. It's really helpful to have the financials easily available for each sales opportunity.
Easy for end users to use. Does have it's in wiki which is useful when searching for help on certain topics.

Pros

The features of Jira are very useful, help track multiple projects with ease. Helps a ton in collaborating with other team members efficiently.
Jira is pretty straight forward. Once you get used to how to set up a Jira, and subscribe to notifications it works on auto-pilot helps to get track of complex issues, resolution and monitor progress.
Slack integration is super useful and the ability to write JQL and integrating with Google sheet is immensely useful.

Cons

Sometimes it will produce a MoveNext error. Also, I have lost the written descriptions that I had written in a particular time slot because of data corruption.
As an admin, limiting pages for users and restricting access is a pain. Need to go through each tab and change the access rights.
Bank matching can be a little off, and is hard to tweak.

Cons

It has limited number of software integrations. Error notifications can be annoying sometimes.
If you accidentally click on the wrong name, the submitter gets a notification when it is assigned, and then another notification when you fix this by assigning it to the correct name.
Sometimes Jira does not work for some time and that makes it hard to track work. It has server problems often.

Best Project Management Tool at affordable price

We are working on migrating a legacy peoplesoft ERP to a more sophisticated ERP for a huge client in education sector. With a team size of around 200 people, lots of project development activities go in parallel. JIRA has been an absolutely great product for us to track the entire development process, assign tasks and manage issues/defects.

Pros

Essentially used to track the application development process, assign tasks and set priorities. We love the ease with which our functional team is able to use Jira without having to train them. We went agile last year and Jira was an obvious choice. We love the real-time, visual data reports that JIRA provides. This is especially beneficial while communicating with the client the progress and timelines. This has been a great value for money product. But if you are hosting it on-premise. It is free for up to 10 users and minimal annual charges for more users.

Cons

I love the product that it's hard to really say what i don't like about the product. We had some hard time while setting up JIRA initially due to some web server issues. We had a little hard time digging into documentations or community forums.

Seamless project tracking

Great and versatile tool!

Pros

Jira is a great tool to create, analyze and deliver projects on time and with the help of everyone within your organization. It has improved a lot over the years, adding a more "modern", easy to use interface on its last updates. Even though it's focused on development (being a great tool to track bugs for instance) my team uses Jira for every project we create, not necessarily involving software/app programming, mainly because of its Board view which gives as a good daily look on what we did/what still needs to be done.

Cons

You might have to train your team to use it and get familiar with it, especially member of your team are used to work with other ERP softwares.

The project management tool you can't live without!

Pros

We like JIRA because it allows the owner of the task to create and manage the status of their own work with no more effort than sending an email, so the bar to adoptions is very low. As a product/process owner we can then passively create management reports/tracking via JIRA dashboards with minimal effort and manage projects from 1-100+ people and not have to chase them for status reports, its all auto-magical (is that a word?). We like the vendor/product for the following key reasons 1) The rich choice of plugins and flexible configuration, 2) The option to run on the clouds or locally, 3) stability, 4) the low maintenance costs and ease of upgrades.

Cons

Many key features are not available on the cloud due to limitation of plugins, Atlasssian should work with the vendors to get more plugins compatible with the cloud. We would also like to see the responsiveness of the cloud version improved.

I have used Jira and Jira Agile (Greenhopper) in both of my last two jobs, and I have found them to be invaluable. Jira in itself is a great way for capturing ideas, logging issues and discussing new features, bugs etc. Jira Agile helps me (and my team) put those issues in to development plan and execute those plans. Jira Agile gives me great visibility on what the team are doing, and what the current issues are... and helps us as a team resolve any issues.

Pros

Best bug and issue tracking system out there for teams large and small. Especially good for distributed teams.

Cons

Cloud hosting could be a touch faster... please :)

Jira is good for somethings but not for all things

We've used Jira to streamline our SDLC and bring the rest of the company in to the process.

Pros

I liked that it include a suit of tools to help support our SDLC and roadmap towards CI/CD.

Cons

I don't like that the mobile app only seems to work for cloud instances of Jira and the huge differences between a federated instance and cloud instance.

Drives and connects my team

I have a distributed team for building custom software for start ups. JIRA is at the heart of all those operations keeping everybody together and on the same page. I don't even know what a commit without an issue key looks like anymore. :D

Pros

- many integrations - connects seamlessly with bitbucket and slack - highly scalable - good permission configurations

Cons

- high monthly cost - limited plugins for Cloud installations (OnDemand)

Cloud workflow and issue management

Easy cloud workflow and ticket management

Pros

Jira offers high customisation yet ease of use. It is easy for reporting with the ability to build custom queries. The ability to load attachments makes it a great workflow tool to process issues, changes, etc in a large organisation.

Cons

It would be great to have restrictions on custom field names. If too many fields are named with the word status the main status field becomes hard to find.

We use jira daily to monitor and provision our client support queues. It’s simple and very effective

Pros

The jquery is amazing to help fully filter support queues between clients. Kansan boards are very fluid too

Cons

The cloud version of jira can be very slow at times.

Powerful but slow

Pros

- It's possible to create custom workflow - enormous amount of possible intergations - a lof of third-party plugins. - decent API with good documentation. We integrated it with internal ERP less than for 1 week. - custom fields in the tickets

Cons

- Developers don't enjoy working with Jira, they say that it's too complicated and slow. Thanks for latest redesign the Jira interface become cleaner. - It's complicated to change the existing workflow.

Moderately Complex System - Best for massively complex projects

Our institution only uses JIRA for projects large enough to warrant it. Many PMs do not like to use it because of the overhead, however, with multiple users and real issue tracking, JIRA is a good (albeit a bit expensive) option.

Pros

I consider JIRA to be the gold standard for issue tracking and resolution apps. We use this on large scale testing efforts, normally for ERP upgrades and mutli-department projects. It is great at tracking issues and resolutions.

Cons

This software takes some effort to setup, configure, track, and manage issues. It takes a certain amount of overhead to manage that so the project has to warrant the additional effort.

Jira is great for managing Agile processes...

Use it every day for multiple teams running scrum or kanban. Wanted to ensure we had a way to create features and related stories to define and track the work for our products. Easy to administer, easy to use and customer support is very good.

Pros

Have used this for quite a long time and it has all of the features you need to be able to track stories and issues. Easy to use for people in all positions. Lots of advanced features that take a bit of time to learn and apply but valuable once you do.

Cons

It's a little pricy. Migration from server to cloud can be difficult.
