Pros

We are still using Quickbooks for accounting for now. The webinars have been great, the support team has been great, our trainer was great.
Invoicing is easy and we are impressed with professional looking invoice templates that are easy to read. Also it is easy to manage the outstanding accounts receivable.
Each and everyone of them I have interacted over the years have been amazing. All of them in customer service are tremendously helpful in setting up the software for my new firm.

Pros

The ability to segment users and managers is essential to our company's structure. Being the administrator and having the ability to go in and fix any user's time sheet is also great.
I love especially that this software integrates with Concur, and has a mobile app that has a very friendly UI. The easier it is for employees to enter information, the better.
This is super easy to use. I mostly use it to report hours worked and it's better than any of the other programs we used before.

Cons

There are times when a question asked gets bumped up and it takes a long time to correct or answer that you lose track of the problem.
The program was often slow and sluggish between screen changes (I have very fast ethernet connection 250mbps DL speed).
It was the most expensive waste of time I've experienced in a long while. It's right up there with Yelp advertising.

Cons

Sometimes we get synchronizing problems. Not sure if we can easily edit erroneous of incomplete entries after saving.
At times my entries seem to magically disappear from the description section which can be frustrating if I can't track what I did on a particular day and time.
Adding and deleting employees is confusing. They make it difficult to keep the customer base out of the tracking.

Worth the change

Going to BQE Core was a great change for our firm. We have found that keeping our worked hours and expenses has been much easier for staff, and project management has improved. It still seems that we keep finding great new features. Worth the change.

We have been using ArchiOffice for about a decade. The software is quite robust and has a lot of features. We use it primarily to track our time, project profitability, do billing. Technical Service is excellent at ArchiOffice. Denise Karp (with whom I have worked many, many years) and Alan Schlieper are readily available, thorough and patient with our needs. They take the time to show us how to better get the information we want out of the program and trouble shoot things when they go awry. This is essential, because while ArchiOffice is robust, it is also complicated.

Missold Software!!!

We were missold this product advising us that it could do more than it can! They believe it can do all this stuff but constant bugs and errors make it impossible to use.

Pros

Lots of features for billing etc. Variety of reports Good time tracking Billable-nonbillable time trcking is great

Cons

Agent add on for automated reports etc is a terrible system and only works Intermittently Cannot customise enough of the system, Everything is an upsell, European support is awful! When speaking with US support they cannot understand most things you are saying and blame you for their systems errors!!

Very user friendly for tracking time and expenses for your projects - Easy to make changes as needed. i like that you get to choose how you will lable your activities and projects to suit your needs. The number of reports available with their dynamic filters make a very powerful source of reports. And if you can not find a report to suite your needs BillQuick can create a custom report for you.

Pros

Real time reports, detailed integration with QuickBooks and it is a user friendly for our engineers to track time and expenses. Customer service is excellent!

Cons

Some times too many reports to choose from. Maybe consolidate and more use of filters

CivTech BillQuick Software & Support

CivTech decided to implement the software with the current QuickBooks software to improve time entry & add reports. Also to save time during the invoicing and payroll process. During the implementation of the 2 software programs and learning process the BillQuick Representatives, Customer Service along with the custom report process has been a good experience and will be an excellent benefit for our company. I would like to thank my rep and the representatives who have been essential in our company moving forward with understanding and using the BillQuick software.

Pros

The input ability that employees are able to enter their time to the projects for payroll. This software tool is good overall for saving time. In the past the employee entered their time on a spreadsheet and the accounting person reentered their time into the accounting program with QuickBooks. The more we learn about the benefits of BillQuick the more we like the software.

Cons

Taking time out to make the phone call to get the answer to fix a problem that came up. Basically it is part of the learning process which ends up being a good experience because of the knowledge and help that we receive will there is an issue.

I am a user - and inputs time billed on various projects in one given day. The dashboard is easy to use and the time card feature requires little to no instruction. Perfect for casual users/part-time employees. Easy to see quarterly figures at a glance.

If perhaps I used it as an admin, I may know more about BQEs capability limits, but I know of none as a user.

Overall experience is very positive mostly dealing with the customer service

Pros

This software makes it easier to track hours on projects to better understand profits and the overall productivity of the staff. It is the people at BQE that make a huge difference. Each and everyone of them I have interacted over the years have been amazing. All of them in customer service are tremendously helpful in setting up the software for my new firm. Same was the experience when I was doing this for another company. Support engineers walked me through the process with utmost patience and that tells you they love what they do.

Cons

Would like to have pull down options for tasks so not inventing wheel every time, more intuitive setup as that is time consuming

We like invoicing in Core

Time is good and so is billing

Pros

I like using the invoicing and payments process, quick and easy to follow through with CEO and clients. Reports are also great, just trying to figure out the best reports to use takes time and experience. We also use the Retainer aspect which is helpful for our clients, much better than trying to keep track of in manually in excel or quickbooks. My monthly financial meetings with the CEO and Principal have become extremely efficient when using the AR Aging report with retainage by easily showing what is outstanding including the retainage portion is important for them to understand. The Account Transactions report have been helpful when reconciling with clients or even project managers the balances owing by phase.

Cons

Most times I have to hit enter twice for CORE to respond...not sure if I am keying too fast? Being Canadian I would like to see the verbiage of "Retainage" changed to Holdback. Having Retainer and Retainage on the same report can cause confusion here up North! LOL! We don't use the work retainage; we just call it holdback.

BillQuick is one of the most user friendly programs I have tried. It has taken me a few years to find a program to replace my old system. If something is posted incorrectly it is easy to correct the error, which was a big plus in determining which program I would use. The project managers are delighted to be able to see their projects progress with the click of their mouse. I can't wait to get the budget and allocation functions up and running.

I feel like when it comes to invoicing and payments, there could be an overall way to prevent going in and out of the tabs

My rep is responsive and decisive. A fantastic combination. You can tell is very experienced, yet deals with non-techie folks like myself very patiently and professionally.

Pros

Accuracy with invoicing. Accountability on time slips keeps staff focused.

Cons

Needs scheduling features. Needs workload tools. Reports are somewhat limited. I still have to do a lot manually

The technical team are superb and the (paid for) training essential to get you up to speed fast. The integration of time/expenses, project setup and control, invoicing and bill payments really good.

Pros

Time and expenses recording. Invoice creation. Financial planning and reporting.

Cons

The ability to customise reports is an additional costed service. It is really set up for USA and I had some tricky times making sure I reset up the currency. Also, you need to use 'Purchase Tax' for 'VAT' to make things work as you would expect.

Was able to get paid for my work.

Pros

Pretty easy to use. Simple design that does what it should. 5 years ago it was good. Not much else to say about it.

Cons

Ancient software design. Full page refresh all the time. Severely needs javascript framework update. Very little functionality beyond the core application. No ability to customize or save settings.

Time Tracker works great for my 8 seat company. Great integration with QBO.

Pros

QuickBooks Online integration is great. Smart phone app is helpful for field service techs. Multiple ways to track and enter time helps fit into anyone's workflow.

Cons

Lacks integration with G Suite (Gmail and Calendar). The IFTTT tools are not very good and limited.

Great time tracking and invoicing

Excellent value for us. We needed to be able to quickly and easily track time, specifically billable time for our customers and provide timely and accurate invoices to them. This has been the core for us to meet that requirement

Pros

The product makes it easy for us to track time on services projects and provide timely invoices to our customers

Cons

Probably more of an issue with our process, but too many projects that are redundant. We would benefit from some controls on our entries
