I will be using this system over the other because of their pricing structure. BuilderTrend did not put a lot of thought into their pricing structure so in my opinion the cost outweighs its value.

Pros
Pricing structure makes the most sense which in the end is cheaper than others and does pretty much the same things just in a different way. Customer support is awesome!! They want to help and it shows.

Cons
No data base in which stores items according to accounting codes, descriptions and pricing so whan you have to add something you have to comeup with it all on the fly.

I have been using Coconstruct for 3 years and absoluteley love it.! I have been able to do more with less (time) than before and my customers love the program as well. It has been excellent in keeping communication between all parties involved with the construction in the loop. I particularly love the scheduling as it keeps your mind on the tasks at hand, makes for a smooth construction program and keeps everyone in the loop, even the clients.!

Pros

This service is no longer worth it. The app never works, it upsets alot of customers because they can't pay their invoice and have login problems. Technical support responds in a way that is similar to saying "oh well" or what would you like me to do about it" or "it is what it is". Those are highly unacceptable answers for 200.33 a month. Time to finally transition to ProCore and let Co-Construct keep their mess. I rather pay the higher fee for a service that won't drive away my customers.

Our team will be reaching out, but what I can see from our records, your implementation coach has been trying to schedule times to work with your team. They've replied that they were busy, and that we should check back later. That's understandable, but it sounds like we didn't have a chance to get the feedback from your team so we could try and address it. Likewise, we haven't received any support tickets about most of what you mentioned. We'd love to have a shot at it, since many of the things you mentioned are areas that work well for thousands of our clients. I completely understand if you've just mentally moved on, and if you do just commercial projects, ProCore may be a better option for you, anyway. But, if you would like to give us a chance to make it right, please reply to your coach, and we will jump right on it.

Truly a fully integrated program...

Overall the experience has been nice. As someone who is constantly on the road or at a project site I would love it if the mobile application worked more consistently. If you only plan to use this software in an office environment then I think it is a great value for the price.

Pros
CoContruct lives up to his brand of a fully integrated system by providing all the important project management features from financial management to client management. This program has been a great tool for all of my remodeling projects. I am impressed by the ability to communicate financial tracking directly with the client.

Cons
The mobile version looks great. It is clean and very easy to use. However it is very glitchy like most mobile project management software. I have experienced numerous error messages while trying to use their mobile app.

Co-Construct is a great product. It's probably the easiest to use fully featured construction software out there. I get a lot out of it. It still has a few weak spots, but they are constantly releasing new updates that truly make it better, and their customer service is literally the BEST I have ever received. I really can't speak highly enough of their support. Never seen anything like it in a tech company.

Customer service is truly top notch, any questions whatsoever they will walk you through. Definitely take the training because some of the features are a bit difficult to understand without a coach guiding you. They do not charge for training. Overall its an "OK" platform, good value and somewhat easy to use. The features it is missing compared to BuilderTrend somewhat justifies the price difference. I would recommend this for projects that are NOT customer centric, i.e track homes, or commercial jobs. If you need the customer to be involved in selections and budgeting etc this is a confusing platform for them. If they had a bidding platform that would allow vendors to directly enter their bids like BT this would save a lot of time. If the selections process was easier or had abilities to mass upload product specs it could improve the customer interaction. This platform ultimately made me spend more time with customers on selections because they could not see everything or understand how it hit the bottom line.

Pros
The price is better than the competition, unlimited prospects, unlimited in warranty statuses. There is a customer portal however it is lacking features. site design is simple, relatively easy to use.

Cons
Features are a little light compared to builder trend. Selection process is really painstaking No import option for price catalogues or bidding software i.e. ClearEstimates Plan "rooms" are difficult because you need to have separate files in multiple locations for various people. Ideally having a file i.e. blueprint and setting permissions would be the easier option.

WE ARE A SMALLER GC FIRM, THE SOFTWARE HAS MANY GENERIC LINE ITEMS THAT YOU CUSTOMIZE FOR YOUR COMPANIES NEEDS, WHICH I ALREADY HAVE IMPLEMENTED AND HAVE BEEN USING FOR 5 YEARS ON MY OWN PRICING AND CONTRACT SPREADSHEETS. After our follow-up call, it was clear you wanted some kind of software that you can download and install on your computer, rather than a cloud-based solution that handled communication, in addition to estimating, scheduling, and other features. Our customers can cancel our plans at any time, and are never forced into contracts, so you have the flexibility to spend a little and then stop, if you wish. We do offer a full 3-month money back guarantee, but ask that, since we are a communication platform, that you try the communication features just five times so you can see the benefit of that. It sounds like you decided not to do that, which is why you were able to cancel with no further obligation, and we've given you a credit in case you are interested in a cloud-based solution in the future. If you do decide to do that, we do encourage you think about coming to our live, 2-day, in-person CoCamp training session, which is at no cost to new customers (and we even cover your hotel and give you a travel voucher). QuickBooks integration with the desktop and online version, ease of use, the coaching sessions to help you get started, and great pricing.

Cons
There were very few features of the program that was not yet there yet, that would make the system better for us personally and probably for other companies. For example, their could of have been an option for a adding a billing address as well as a second address instead of a second address line.

Everything about the software is hard to understand!! I make my own place and prices for everything impossible to find !! Did like at all

Disliked everything the whole setup and they want all this money and I had to try and make my own price sheet

Overall Co-Construct was a better fit for us than builder trend which we tried for about a month or two. The pricing structure of Co-Construct fit our business far better.

Pros
There are several pros to the software but I would have to say the customer support is the number one thing that stood out to us...especially early on.

Cons
The software is pretty good, but at times can feel just a little "clunky" (not refined...especially some of the "choices" and "specs and selections" areas.

Overall, great software for a much lower price point than all the competitors. If you are a smaller company, like mine, and you have a tight budget, this is great, functional software.

Pros
This software contains all the features a remodeling company or building company needs to function efficiently. Exports to QuickBooks and other accounting software for convenient billing and bookkeeping.

Cons
Different features don’t flow through to eachother within the software. For example, you cannot create tasks in schedule from line items in the estimate page, which would seem pretty basic. Also the user interface is a tad cumbersome.

Pros
I like that it is intuitive to use and that it ties together selections, price, and schedule in a single interface that allows clients, carpenters, and subcontractors to interact with the project.

Cons
I think the iPhone app version of the program could use improving. It is not robust enough. Particularly, it does not clearly/easily show you your To-Do list.

Thanks for the review. Our iPhone and Android apps actually do have the ability to edit and add to-do items, as well as set dates, assignees, and comments. I'll have our support team follow up with you on how that works.

We do have some more updates on the way, which includes some other export and viewing options for the schedule. Once those are out, let us know if that gives you what you need for working with your schedule information in ways other than what we already have in the system.

Co Construct is a great software, sometimes system runs slow doesnt matter about your internet speed, the client communication system is great, the estimate tool is good, quick and easy, the integration with quickbooks runs good, but the sync sometimes gets delays.

it is online, the price is fair, you will pay month to month, integration with quickbooks helps a lot, the customer service is almost perfect, has a lot of videos to help you resolve any situation,

the only CONS I found is that you have to be very strong in your accounting system. the sync sometime is very slow.

Overall I am happy with the software. It takes a long time to populate everything and it takes a lot of time to learn how to use all of the tools, and it is REALLY expensive, . . . but, it can be a very good tool that saves a lot of money through more efficient RFP process and scheduling.

Pros
I like that, once all of your templates, specs, and trade partners are populated, it is very easy build professional looking proposals, quickly send out and manage RFPs, easily track jobs, and sync with quickbooks.

Cons
I wish there was a better tool in the estimate section for showing Cost to Complete. In quickbooks, there is a report that can show you how you are tracking cost wise against your construction schedule. It would be great to have something like that in CoConstruct. I wish there was a way to check a box on uploaded documents so they could be viewed in multiple places. Example, if I upload a PDF in the bids section, I wish I could also attach it automatically to the applicable section of the selections. As it is now, I have to duplicate that work by uploading it in both places. If the bid request is linked to a spec, it should give the option to attach the bid in both locations.

It’s like all software where you have to set it up to customize it for yourself but it’s not hard

Pros
Everything is great but AWAs getting approved is the number one. Remodeling always has changed CC makes it so easy to give customers options with price and once they select the one they want the $$ go right onto to their balance

Cons
It’s not that I don’t like the scheduling I just wish you could see all the project schedules could be seen on a master schedule

That allows you to see a global view of all of your schedule, to-do, and warranty items in one place in a list, Gantt, or calendar view. Click the "Filter" button to get to even more advanced options for narrowing down exactly what you want to overlay or color code. We have a similar feature in the mobile app, too.
