Pros

The program has been really great for improving our tracking and management of changes and decisions. The software continues to improve and add features, which is great and the support is excellent.
It's also great to know that they are continually working to improve this software to make it even more user friendly for construction companies.
Not all clients will use it, but those who do love it. We use the mobile app on our iPhones and it's great to add quick notes in the field or look up important information.

Pros

Overall it is very simple to use and I like the transparency to do our transactions and great a report, I really like how easy and accurate it is to track donations and the donors.
I love the ease of creating invoices. It's very easy to get paid and I love that I get notified instantly upon getting a paid invoice.
It is very user friendly. I love the webinars that are available to help you navigate your way around the software.

Cons

We were looking to eliminate places of duplicate entry - not create more. Document management is horrible.
Time to finally transition to ProCore and let Co-Construct keep their mess. I rather pay the higher fee for a service that won't drive away my customers.
Problems with entering taxes. Uses a text format rather than Word in Proposal/Estimate section.

Cons

My records were a jumbled mess, and the tech support was awful. They’d say someone is going to call , then that person would email instead.
I dislike being unable to undo batches of reconciliations to fix errors.
Doing a bank reconciliation is more complex than the desktop version. There was a problem with the AZ withholding and they have never fixed it.

Pros

Scheduling is so easy with Co-Construct. The best part is being able to use the schedule to tell employees where (as in which job site) to be at each day. In addition, the schedule report for each employee helps with auditing employee hours.

Cons

The estimating and financial integration with Quickbooks online isn't perfect. For now, we don't need the integration so we simply aren't using it.

QuickBooks integration with the desktop and online version, ease of use, the coaching sessions to help you get started, and great pricing.

Cons

There were very few features of the program that was not yet there yet, that would make the system better for us personally and probably for other companies. For example, their could of have been an option for a adding a billing address as well as a second address instead of a second address line.

Co Construct is a great software, sometimes system runs slow doesnt matter about your internet speed, the client communication system is great, the estimate tool is good, quick and easy, the integration with quickbooks runs good, but the sync sometimes gets delays.

Pros

it is online, the price is fair, you will pay month to month, integration with quickbooks helps a lot, the customer service is almost perfect, has a lot of videos to help you resolve any situation,

Cons

the only CONS I found is that you have to be very strong in your accounting system. the sync sometime is very slow.

Simply put, we could not function at the level of efficiency and effectiveness without this program, and its helpful support staff.

Pros

The centralized and well organized communication is key. We feel, as do our clients, that we are truly all "on the same page".

Cons

Interface with other software. It works, but at times sync with Quickbooks is delayed. The new Invoice feature is a step in the right direction, but again interface with Quickbooks has hindered our use of this feature.

Cons

Overall a good product but lacks on functional reports for quotations. Not easily implements simple change requests.

Takes a lot of time to learn how to navigate and enter data. Does not integrate with a Canadian Quickbooks.

Ben -- Thanks for the note. We did want to let you know that there are several ways to create change orders in the system. If you have all of your selections in the system, you can, with a couple of clicks, turn those decisions into change orders. If it's a non-selections item, you can simply create a new document, type in the change, put in the amount, and click who needs to approve it. So, whichever route you go, Co-construct has a secure way to quickly create COs and get digital signature signoffs on them. Regarding QuickBooks, we do support a subset of QuickBooks Desktop features for users on Canadian Edition. We are looking at updating that to include the full feature set in the not-too-distant future.

QuickBooks integration make this a winner.

Quickbooks integration was a vital aspect of this product for our company. It saves not only time but also money in that our reps can get their tasks done in less time. The templates are a great feature and one that should be more heavily-featured.

Pros

I love the integration with QuickBooks. It makes our lives so much easier so that our accounting department and our purchasing department can have the to-and-from QuickBooks without having to take an extra step and double-enter everything. The implementation of a time clock is very handy as well.

Cons

Our main concern is that it takes a bit of learning and time to get everything just so. However, with all of the available templates, it’s just a few mouse clicks and you have just what you wanted. We did have a few questions about the program, but they were easily answered by their very knowledgeable customer service department.

Great software, great customer support. Helped me a lot to communicate with my clients. My business becomes more organized. I look very advanced and professional.

Cons

None so far. I use is about 3 month, and like it a lot. Not con, just advise, maybe to make Planshet version, mobile version too simple for Ipad

I think the software is good and has a lot of great features , the invoicing to clients through quickbooks is the the limiting

Pros

the scheduling being global , our suppliers and contractors are enjoying the access the estimating and selection integration is too a very powerful piece of equipment which our contractor use

Cons

The integration with quick books is very limiting we are unable to progress claim to our clients through this which almost makes us want to not use co construct I have been told that Quickbooks does not progress claim. Australian Quickbooks does but the GST can not be altered to 15% from 10%. So no one can use this apart from Australia. Can you please explain what co construct recommendation is for...

Online, ease of use and excellent support.

Cons

QB online integration could be more intuitive. Accounting codes had to be redone in QB online to be able to sync. Even when done it still needs various tweaks to get it going.

Amazing functionality for a great price.

Overall, great software for a much lower price point than all the competitors. If you are a smaller company, like mine, and you have a tight budget, this is great, functional software.

Pros

This software contains all the features a remodeling company or building company needs to function efficiently. Exports to QuickBooks and other accounting software for convenient billing and bookkeeping.

Cons

Different features don’t flow through to eachother within the software. For example, you cannot create tasks in schedule from line items in the estimate page, which would seem pretty basic. Also the user interface is a tad cumbersome.

Pros

I love the way QuickBooks integrates in. Our clients can see real costs real time as we input them. We all - internal and external - can keep up with our budget vs actual in real time. #1 in importance to our accounting department.

Cons

Having to re-upload estimates from Co-construct to QuickBooks when there is a change. I would love for the syncing to go back and forth each time.

I like the program but it is not as easy to grasp as I anticipated as I don't have the time to immerse myself into the program as some owners may since I am in the field on jobs most of the time and customer support is not available in the evenings when I get to the office.

Pros

The scheduling capability that helps in setting up subs and the ability to create to-do's with photos for the subs.

Cons

The change orders are time consuming and have duplicity in the system and there is still some issues with exporting updates to QuickBooks without losing progress billing information.

Co-Construct is exactly what we've been looking for!

We've been trying to find a system to help with all of our construction projects: homes, commercial, land clearing, etc. This has been a great tool with lots of features!

Pros

Customized app for the phone, Customers can always get the status and budget of their projects, Customers can make selections, and now can sign digitally. It also integrates with Quickbooks.

Cons

Inputting data is a pain, but has to be done with any product. Customer service is always there to help! They are great and actually understand the construction process.

Product is working well with our business and very happy with the support from the staff

Cons

The only issue that we have had with the program to this point is integrating it with our quickbooks and not 100% sure that it is not user error.
