Pros

Contains the vast majority of required features to operate a successful e-commerce store. Nice layout, not too bulky, and sticks to what its good at.
The ability to customize reports in word is amazing. The team at Dear are still updating and improving the system.
DEAR is a fantastic system which will manage the inventory and sales/purchase process for various channels.

Pros

We love the showroom and have recently just reached out to customers giving them access. We also just love the GUI and how intuitive it is.
It's very powerful and affordable for small businesses. Plus their customer service team is one of the best I have experienced.
Customer service is always excellent and any issues we have had have been resolved quickly and with a friendly manner. We are looking forward to the new version with the Magneto integration.

Cons

Over the past 6 months this has gone from bad to worse. The odd hang, became frequent hangs, then time outs on the server.
Frustrating, unsatisfying and I have real worries about the ability for the software to keep up with my business as it grows.
Often times I do run in to a problem, either I entered something wrong and can't fix it, or I need a bulk operation done and need support.

Cons

This has on a number of occasions caused me to inadvertently overcharge customers, and is extremely embarrassing when it's they who notice it first and think I'm trying to "pull a fast one" on them.
Iphone app missing some functionality. Missing possibilty for sub-sub location.
Had a problem with my computer because of a security update, which caused my inflow to stop working.

Better inventory management

Pros

For us the biggest advantage is the multi layer assembly features in the BOM structure, As a manufacturer we ustilise many common parts with sub assemblies used between items. Though not always perfect but when stock level data is maintained the software works well.

Cons

Have not had any major stand out negatives with the software, the biggest issues we have is maintain the data in regards to incoming goods.

Great software, some minor drawbacks

Manage inventory and production of the company. Better managed inventory and production as a result. Higher efficiency.

Pros

It is very user friendly and easy to use. Most functionalities work well and there are rarely bugs.

Cons

Cannot access database to make customizations. Customization of forms, reports, etc. would make the software perfect. Also, new features have to be put in as feature requests, which not really works out for us. Every company works differently, and not all companies would necessarily need the feature I am requesting. Does that mean it will never be implemented? Which is why I think customization capability is important.

Inventory and sales order management

Pros

I like that it offers so much. You can search in many ways, the amount of information available by reports is GREAT!

Cons

It is extremely expensive to add a user. I don't think that it should cost that much to add a user. I also don't like that it was setup initially by me as a user and now that I am an Advisor, I can't change that. It is costing the company extra money to pay for me as a user. Being that I am the one that recommended the software, I think this is unfair.

Tracking inventory in various locations/warehouses.

Pros

I like the flexibility and easy data entry. I also like the Stocktake feature. The ability to filter the various lists are nice too.

Cons

Wish it offered the ability to track weights throughout the system, either by product or by PO or SO line item. It's what we use instead of money, and what our auditors require to see. Would like to see the ability to include location in the PO list.

A robust supply chain/inventory management

Very good; this has enhanced our inventory management

Pros

The client servicing teams have listened to my concerns and suggestions to bring new features onboard. The brought in delivery scheduling which matters to companies managing fulfillment with limited dispatch capacity. Furthermore, they have recently escalated my concern on the time lag between sales vs COGS date due to the UAE VAT law's verdict on date of supply in case of taking client deposits. I'm confident that they will resolve that as well.

Cons

The integration with Xero is nice; but as far as the "reversal" are concerns; i.e. when DEAR invoices are modified; that creates Xero<>DEAR sync errors. There's nothing wrong with this logic; but I feel this is an area of improvements.

DEAR is Perfect for the Growing Business

I worked with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] in the OnBoarding team and he was awesome! My implementation took a VERY LONG time due to our business being so busy. He was so patient and would contact me every 3 weeks or so to see how things were progressing. He took so much time to go over the product with me and my coworkers multiple times. He answered MANY LONG emails from me with tons of questions. He was always pleasant, happy, so helpful, and in my opinion the greatest secret weapon that DEAR has!! Now that my implementation is complete (thanks to him) I feel like I have lost a friend. He has assured me that the Support team are just as awesome and helpful as he has been - but I don't believe anyone will ever be as amazing as [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was! Thanks [SENSITIVE CONTENT]!!

Pros

I LOVE the fact that I can invoice before receiving the inventory physically. We work with an overseas company and their business practice is to invoice once the product leaves their hands, however accepting their invoice made my inventory way off in QBO. So glad to be able to maintain what the true physical inventory is and not have to try to keep up with the travelling inventory too.

Cons

The feature I would like the least is the CRM. I was really hoping that it would work for our sales team and that they would be able to have access to the inventory information easily. However, the CRM lacked a lot of the capabilities that our sales managers were looking for to help with managing their teams.

Terrible customer service and techincal support!!!!!!!

DEAR Systems support takes 48+ hours to respond and they have no way to call for help. Only options are to create a support ticket that gets emailed and then requires me to wait days for a response. And then when I do get a response they can not help me with my actual problem!

Pros

Ease of use when entering orders and tracking inventory.

Cons

This software does not let me sync properly with QBO and creates duplicates Customers.

detailed inventory control, lot tracking, and easy invoicing.

Pros

Online demos for each function make leaning very accessible. The QBO sync function is wonderful. Ease of changing stock amounts, lot traceablility, and in the moment inventory adjustment make using DEAR a pleasure.

Cons

The "support" button hovering over the scroll bar is a bit clunky and could be moved to a less intrusive place on the screen.

Lack of Communication with customers

Usually good, sometimes very frustrating.

Pros

It manages my inventory and order and is cloud based.

Cons

When Dear is upgrading its system, customers can find the software extremely slow or not working at all. This can go for weeks at a time causing massive frustration for my staff around the country as well as disruption to my business. The lack of communication and support from DEAR mean you feel little loyalty to the product.

Great inventory system for cloud based companies.

Pros

One of the best things about Dear Inventory is its ability to integrate with other cloud based software. Our company uses cloud based POS and accounting software, and having our transaction data automatically loaded into our inventory and accounting systems is great! It has all the functionality that we need as a furniture retail store including automatic generation of purchase orders for low or backordered inventory and tracking of sales and inventory.

Cons

The software has glitches sometimes that cause it not to work in certain browsers for a short time. I usually email the support team and the issue gets resolved fairly quickly.

Dear Inventory is the best of the cloud Inventory Application for small and medium sized businesses, which allows integration with Xero, QBO, Ebay, B2B portal, Capsule CRM, Vend, Shopify including API.

Dear systems keeps your inventory in check

Pros

If you have an ecommerce store and sell across multiple channels and want seamless integration of your inventory to your accounting software, then Dear Systems is the software to use. This means your inventory syncs to your accounting system. This way you can always refer to your accounting stock figure as Dear combines all inventory sold by your various platforms and makes sure the accounting inventory figure is correct. Customer service is also very good with handling queries

Cons

Currently I do not have any qualms with Dear Systems. The integration of all our sales platforms has been great.

Accounting monitoring, inventory and logistics concern and even Marketing release products

Pros

it can be integrated in other useful program, it can manage a business and able to monitor your in and out and can be extracted to a report too.

Cons

cant tell that right now, weve been using this for last than 6 months and i cant still comment about its negative flow

Pros

Integrations with Square, Shopify, Quickbooks online. The integrations work very smooth. It's accounting focused inventory software, which is great because it transfers everything straight to Quickbooks Online without issues (COGS, Inventory, Sales, Invoices, Inventory bills, etc.). I tested a bunch of other competitors but this was by far the most polished and offered the most bang for the buck.

Cons

Sometimes a little buggy, but very rare. The reporting feature could use an overhaul. Gave 4 stars for customer support because they could use some improvement, but you really don't need it because the software works.

Well considered inventory software, capable of being the backbone of a business.

Inventory control, Records to our assembly structure, Sales and Purchasing process control.

Pros

We've been able to make it work for our company. We have complicated BOM and assembly processes which Dear has been able to capture.

Cons

The software is still young, so simple features work very well but there are limits on out lying cases and features I'd like to see developed

Pros

Solid purchasing, manufacturing, sales, and inventory. Integration to Xero is fully two way.

Cons

No easy forecasting. Poor CRM integration. Confusing pricing on integrations. Weak b3b online sales system.

A lot of promises for things that don't actually work

The support is a complete joke. A bunch of remote people searching for answers on the fly in a knowledge base. They mentioned they have a lot of turnover, which is a recipe for disaster in any support division.

Pros

It's fine for managing inventory, but not much more useful than a spreadsheet

Cons

They promised Hubspot integration, and none of it works. It's a known issue, but they don't seem to know how to resolve it. And they have a strict no refund policy, so we were sold something that doesn't do what they say it will. Most companies give a refund for products that don't work as promised. Not DEAR

A leap forward in stock control suitable for small manufactures

We needed a system that could be easily worked with by multiple functions in our small organisation. We needed it to be able to handle multiple currencies for sales and purchases in a simple and intuitive way. Finally we needed it to be able to give us clear oversight of our stock levels and give us the ability to manufacture products for our customers quickly without holding excessive stock levels.

Pros

The software is easy to use and intuitive. The You get a real sense that they are learning about their customers needs and are trying to build the functionality you need into the product. customer support is excellent and very interactive. I believe it has the ability to scale with us.

Cons

There are some niggly ways that the current systems works but these have been reported back to customer support.

I have used Inflow for almost 4 years and have not found a reason to change inventory systems yet.

The reporting offered by inFlow is very detailed and well laid out.

Pros

Inflow has a lot of characteristics and functionality that other inventory systems do not. With the easy access to view numerous pages at the same time is one of my favorite features.

Cons

The only thing that we have had trouble with Inflow Inventory is the fact that they do not offer an open API. The company that I work directly through a CRM and it would be wonderful to be able to connect orders directly to a customer. Currently we are having to manually share orders, which adds unneeded time spent.

Inflow is an Inventory system designed for use by normal people. Its main advantage is that the interface is intuitive and requires minimal training. The system avoids the complexities and technical jargon of some other systems

The best inventory control software around!

with Inflow we finally were able to control our inventory, prepare quotes, sales orders and invoices, in everything in one place, there's no need to buy extra modules.

Pros

Inflow is very easy to use, clear, easy to understand, and full of functionalities that interconnect smoothly, we can search from multiple fields, and the best is that they have now the cloud version at a fraction of the cost of similar systems, even with less functionalities.

Cons

The lack of integration with ecommerce marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, Walmart, but I think the company is working on this.

2 Years in, and still unlocking value from the product.

Has streamlined a manual purchasing and inventory system with ease. The reporting is becoming critical now that we have the data at hand. I have used small off the shelf accounting products up to large ERP systems, and for a small business Inflow just rocks.

One of the better offline packages I've tried, cloud based offering is coming along nicely

Support for this software is very good, I never have a problem getting a response, and there is a user based forum that also has a lot of information.

Pros

I liked that it was affordable, did not require that you pay a monthly subscription (for the offline version) and that it was more intuitive than most I've tried. The new integrated barcode feature of the cloud product brings this to the level of $10,000 systems I have used in the past.

Cons

The biggest con with both versions of this software is the inability to handle multiple warehouses properly. If an item you have is in multiple locations, it treats those locations as different bins on the same shelf, so it will not tell you that you need to order more for warehouse "A" of there is enough in warehouse "B,C,D" to meet the min/max criteria. This requires you to use different part numbers for the same thing in each warehouse, which is doable but annoying when it comes to transferring between warehouses and labelling.

Does what we need it to..

Pros

We switched from the desktop version of inflow. We use MacOS/IOS as a company and were growing concerned that we would have to switch platforms completely to allow our team "cloud" access to our inventory and invoicing. The new interface makes the transition very simply and gives us the full functionality we need on our operating systems.

Cons

We would like to see the continued development of the web app
