Pros

Customer support was amazing through the whole process. I find they tried their best to keep in touch EVERY week to see how we were doing with the app and what we needed help learning.
It's a really complete solution that handles all the requirements for a bussiness like us, the schedulling is very complete and the control fo the employee's timesheets is awesome.
Our experience with Deputy right from the very beginning has been nothing but fantastic. If you have any questions, they are answered, if you need help you can get it & it is also very cost effective.

Pros

The good overview, the easy access and very good help and quick responses from the developers for requests of new functions.
Pleasant intuitive UI, intelligent UX design. Responsive support team, lets me keep all team communication in one place for my sanity aaa.
Me and my collegues arent pleased with Soon. Soon gives us more questions then help.

Cons

Many glitches when it comes to connecting with RUN or scheduling, but the biggest problem is the inefficiency of the sales team whether the chat or phone. They are simply HORRIBLE.
As a team, we find ourselves frustrated with Deputy on the daily.
The product messed up or payroll month after month.

Cons

Sometimes there is an error, probably something with cookies so when you delete them it is fixed.
As a user, it is frustrating to not have visibility on other users' schedules. This may be an option open to administrators--I don't know).
Absolutely none, if there's something you don't like they will adjust Soon to your preferences.

I love how easy it is to create the schedule and put in unavailable times employees have requested off

Cons

I would love to be notified if an employee has modified his or her time punch as soon as it happens.

I save time scheduling employees. Employees are able to receive their schedule as soon as it's publish. I am able to set daily lists for tasks to completed during every shift plus assign additional tasks as needed.

Pros

It was simple to set-up the account and to use it afterwards. It is easy to show the employees how to use. The news feed is great to communicate to all my employees at one time.

Cons

The task lists are tricky to set-up, especially the lists that come up when employees clock out. I was given an address to go to when creating the clocking out questions but would prefer a direct link on the website so I wouldn't have to spend time searching for the web address

I am so impressed that Deputy totally replaces MS Excel as a staff scheduler.

Pros

Deputy is easy and you would be surprised how quick it is to learn. Support is right behind you if needed and the staff have taken to using Deputy just as quick. The functions of unavailability to work, rolling schedules forward and approving hours just make it the 'bees knees'. Thank you Deputy developers for making such a great app.

Cons

Why I didn't hear or find out about this app sooner. I had to go and ask a womens business group on the chat forum and only one told me about Deputy.

Sanity Saver

This program has saved my sanity. I can now do up rosters and everyone knows what they are doing as soon as I publish the timesheets. The onus is on my staff to update the system on when they are not available for work, rather than me rostering them on and then them saying they can't work.

Pros

Can see everyone's details at the same time - the timesheet function saves me time and makes payments accurate (not adding time in my head :-)

Cons

Need a reliable internet connection which where our business is located is not always the case

Pros

What I like most is what I never expected and that is that our staff LOVE it! They are engaged, they use the messaging, love the task feature and appreciate the ability to provide input to their own schedule. Also, the make-up of our staff is super random from week to week and Deputy allows us to do custom scheduling with 100% accuracy.

Cons

Keeping in mind that we just started using Deputy it might be a little unfair for me to answer this right now but what I find is that it is a little tedious to have to do as many things manually as we do. I'm sure I will discover shortcuts soon enough so this isn't even a complaint. Plus, the reason I gave the' Value for Money' 4 stars is because of the US/CDN exchange rate, again, nothing to do with Deputy.

Refused to refund pre-pay

Pros

It's easy to use, and set up. Chat customer service was great; phone and email customer service was a waste of everyone's time.

Cons

As soon as I signed up my Sales Rep was MIA. The work around he explained for my particular need was clunky and confusing. I wasn't able to have different rates for different locations/areas of work. I pre-paid for the year, as it is a significant savings. After confusing all of employees and contractors, I decided that I needed a different solution. I was put on endless hold, when I explained the situation, and told I needed to contact their office in Australia, which only works on their time zone, via email. I received a glib "we don't offer refunds per our Terms & Agreement". Shame on me for not reading, the fine, fine print, but now having read various postings and reviews, this has happened multiple times....such poor form.
