I used to use SiteLink. Good program but costly. A lot of bells and whistles I didn't really use or need. Then I switched to WebSelfStorage. The price was right but I found it difficult to use at times. It wasn't very intuitive and making certain corrections was nightmarish. Web Self Storage is a very easy program to use.
Integration was a little difficult and time consuming especially the conversion process itself. We had tomake many changes once the conversion took place.

Very happy we use Web Self Storage
We have used the program for 3 years. At first there were a few bugs they were working out. Now it seems most of the bugs have been solved. We have very good support from Web Self Storage. I have been very pleased with Web Self Storage. They have made my operating experience really easy. I have a lot of doors I am collecting on and Web Self Storage has made it simple to operate all of it. If I do call them with questions they are very helpful answering any questions that I have.
I am not a technological person. I'm just not into all of that stuff. I am into things that help things run smoother. I learn ways to operate things smoother and then operate them better. WebSelfStorage has helped me do that. The ins and out of all of it are pretty simple once you work with it a little bit. If there is something you are unsure of they have people that can help you operate through it.
I would like a way to work with someone a little more to help me further understand ways that could help me run all of my storage smoother. Now that I've been running it for almost 2 years I would like someone to work with me to help me in ways that I haven't figured out yet on my own. I'm sure this is possible but just haven't talked with anyone about it.

I like that it is easy to keep track of all my units and my payments for my storage units.
I dislike that I can't click certain invoices to print or not to print and I dislike how not really user friendly this software is.

we have used web self storage at multiple facilities over the years and have always found it to be easy to use, manager and customer friendly and easy for our accounting folks to use. For the price, we have an easy to use management software, very low credit card processing fees, a built in tenant insurance program and a listing on Uhaul.com. we cannot get all of those benefits in one place and especially for the price. while setting up our most recent self storage facility acquisition on webs self storage, the tech staff could not have been more helpful, our other vendors such as our call center agents have complimented web self storage's staff on how easy they have been to work with. we highly recommend this software for the independent self storage owner and operator.

I use WSS daily for my small business. There are some features that I would prefer to have that are available in other softwares. But for the money - you really can't beat it.
It covers all of the basic bases for running a small self-storage business.
It's tied into Uhaul - so you're at their mercy.

We have used WebSelfStorage for the past 5 - 6 years and have grown with the product including several iterations of the software and several minor (and one major) upgrade. We have found that the support to be great and very helpful. Overall our experience has been a good one.
The software is the backbone of how we run our storage & retail point of sale operation. It is intuitive and helps us operate our entire operation. I like the ease of use, the reporting for storage and the mapping features.
At times it does go down. The retail functionality could be more intuitive regarding the sale of retail merchandise. I feel the retail point of sale functionality and reports tools are very limiting.

It seems to be the simpler of the two storage websites that we use which is helpful for some of our employees.
There are certain features that I prefer on this software compared to our other one we use. We own 3 facilities and use this at only 1 of them, our smallest. There are more options including purchasing insurance for our customers that I like.
I don’t like that sometimes the system will not register when I have saved and closed a customers profile. When another user tries to log on sometimes it will say that the profile was left open and no one can access it. It’s frustrating.

Having a self storage software to run our business has been critical to our growth and success. Having the property organized is critical.
Honestly the price was a big facture for us as we are a small start-up business and operational costs are high scrutinized.
It does have some bugs, some times when i input a lot of different customer accounts it overwrites my work.

Excellent controls - good for multi location operation. Low cost. Usable from remote computers. Some customer reference from other locatioins
Repeated failed upgrades and cloud interface. On new system, after a week they still are down loading other storage customers mixed in with our customers.

Only have used the free trial so im not quite sure how i feel about it, its expensive! 34.95 a month. Almost as much as a live storage. LOL
Pros for this site is you can use it on your smart phone and not just a computer! Which now a days people use smartphones more!
I havent used it long enough to find out very many cons, i just know that Its better than other computer hangouts!

Our experience with the Web Self Storage customer support staff was beyond excellent! Our CSR, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], went way above and beyond in helping us and getting us up and running. She provided us links for additional training and made sure we understood how to complete certain tasks. The process of getting us up and running so quickly would not have happened without the Web Self Storage support staff.
Reports are great! Templates are fantastic!
It would nice to be able to pull up the Site Map and not have to leave it to go to another section of the website.

Overall it is user friendly. Payments are easy. We have a call center service that we pay $215.00 a month for. This allows me to be on the property helping my customer, while someone else helps another customer over the phone! I would say consider this product, It is cost effective, and I personally LOVE the support I get from Uhaul Affiliate support network when it comes to any and all issues.
1) What I love the most about Web Self Storage is the mobile walk around feature. I walk my property every day when performing a lock action report, and if i find a unit that needs cleaning from a over night move out, or a unit that has a rusted door handle, broken latch you name it, I CAN TAKE A PHOTO AND ATTACH IT to the customers Storage unit Digitally :). When I am done with the walk around and...
1) Currently, I am frustrated with how quickly the ledger updates with reversals, and how it reports/ Displays itself. For the most part, 20 minutes of staring at the screen will help you learn it, like any program you are not familiar with. 2) The walk around list display. It does not have a option that will allow you to display your room numbers from numerical order. I spent 5 hours editing 436 rooms individually to create a walk around report that would make my property walk around easier.

The best benefit is to not waste your time or money.
Better than paper. Nothing positive to say.
I think this software was designed to make it as difficult and unpredictable as possible. I have experience with other self storage software and am quite tech savvy but WSS said they can report to Quick Books and after hours and hours (mostly on hold) the problems just got ignored.

We have already had several customer move in because of Web Self Storage. We are not paying 1 1/2 the first months rent to a foreign company to rent our units. Finally we can answer our own phone calls without going through a third party. It is more economical and are dealing with friendly people.
I was intimidated by the program at first : however, with the help of rep they have made it seem easy. I am 73 years old and learn easier by hands on. The guidance that me and my team has received has helped immensely. Of course with any new program it is going to be a learning curve, I am thankful to have caring help on the other end..
It takes longer to take an application. I am sure with time, it will go faster. This is only our first week to be dealing with a new program. If you are moving over to WebSelfStorage do so after the 10th of the month it makes it much easier.

We are a self storage business. This is the worst software I have ever used. It barely works. There are constant glitches. Customer support is useless. Your issues get "escalated" but nothing gets resolved. If we didn't use it for many years and all our data wasn't on their servers, we'd have switched already. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS. THEY'RE ACCURATE.
Nothing. Please, just read the other reviews. It takes a lot for me to write something negative about a company. But other businesses need to be spared from the pain of dealing with them. It's THAT bad.
We were users of the "classic" software, which worked fine. In March 2018, we were upgraded to "new software" from their "developers." This is, hands down, the worst software I've ever used. Please, read all the other reviews as well, especially the recent ones. They're all true. This software functions like 4th graders developed it as a science fair project. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE. I don't want anyone else to go through what we're going through. We're not alone. Just read the other reviews.

After numerous phone calls, phone calls not returned and countless hours on the phone with Web Self Storage Support personnel regarding the Quickbooks interface with the updated software it is still not operational. it was to be operational in Dec 2018, that date was not met and the new date was Jan 2019. It is now February 2019 and it is still not operational for my business. The support staff informed me that I would need to enter information manually into QB until my issue could be resolved. One of their supervisors informed me I had taken too much of theirs staffs time and informed me it was a QB issue. After calling QB I was assured it was actually an issue with Web Self Storage software. Based on my experience I would definitely not recommend this company or their software!

I highly recommend the WebSelfStorage software and the support personnel to help your facility run very efficiently
Being new to the self-storage industry, we have achieved a relative amount of success from the support we get from the WebSelfStoragestaff and the software system that helps our facilities run very smoothly. Every time I call and have an issue, it is literally resolved in a matter of minutes. Everyone is professional courteous and so nice to work with.
I don't have any cons regarding the program at this time.

Pricing is definitely a factor. Has all the features that is needed in the self storage business. Tenants receiving all information timely. Ease of use. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] is the best. She answers all my calls and is the most helpful. I have never called and been placed on hold. I reach her directly the first time always. When I don’t understand something in the program, she is very patient and walks me through. She may be the biggest reason for the fantastic reviews.
Some of the features are not as obvious. Once you know the system, they make sense. I am still learning but it is pretty easy.

Frustrating. The bugs, and lack of contact/support during crucial business times is not acceptable. We inherited this system when we purchased our self storage properties, and haven't switched because we have so many customers on auto pay that we do not have their credit card info so that we can easily switch them over without making hundreds of phone calls. At this point though, getting away from WebSelfStorage is our primary goal.
Autopay, prefilled forms (when they're actually working), and email reminders (again, when they're working).
They go down without reason, contact, or response. They're unreachable for support. Most the time you ignore it, and wait a little bit; today is the 1st of the month, and they've been down (unavailable!) all day. This is the time in self storage management when you use this software the the most, and they're not available. No answer to phone calls, their web contact form is broken and errors out, so you're just out of luck. DO NOT RELY ON THIS SOFTWARE FOR YOUR BUSINESS! Do yourself a favor, and avoid my frustration with them. Outside of the down times, there's bugs and issues with the system. You report them to their support team, and are told that they are working on that issue. Six to 12 months later, you get a fix. That's not an acceptable turn around time.
