Pros

Overall, it's a useful software with a good interface that I'm good at tracking my order with.
Customer Support is Outstanding. They truly work to satisfy the customer to the best of their abilities and recommend work around where needed.
We loved having a dedicated implementation specialist who tracked our progress and made suitable suggestions to fit our business style.

Pros

My experience with FMX has been fantastic, the team has been really helpful and patient while we modify this software for our needs.
The staff - I know that isn't software, but the fun training videos they post and they way they engage the user is important to how much I enjoy using the software as a complete experience.
Great product for a great price. Quick to help in understanding product and improving it.

Cons

The other function I wished eMAINT had would be a way to record multiple readings for performing calibrations that would show percent of error with an automatic pass/fail.
There are some features that are difficult to use without training which is offered by Fluke.
One more week, more wasted time and we were again told they could not deliver on what they had promised.

Cons

In the past, the method of communicating the facility needs of staff and students has been fairly disorganized, and many times, disjointed.
If you are looking for something beyond an tool for running operationally, this may struggle.
Some of our operators have expressed how difficult it is to recall past comments in the "Log" section.

Great fit and great balance as a CMMS and Calendar tool.

Pros

Great balance of tools for use in church or school. Not overly detailed as an asset only management tool. Calendar is the most used tool to prevent double booking, schedule custodial work, plan maintenance, schedule security, schedule HVAC, alert team. Was able to customize extensively to create a local module to even track Marketing request.

Cons

Modules may not work exactly like current business work flow. May not have a module for every process your team needs one for...such as time clock. Key management solution did not work for the way we manage keys for instance.

Very good experience. Can't say anything but good.

Pros

Very easy to use and customizable. Mobile inventory bar codes tracking is a game changer. Very easy to learn the program overall. Layout is nice and up to date. Continued updates and new features.

Cons

No cons to mention although the only system we used prior was really outdated so not much experience with other cmms programs.

I choose FMX because of the ease of use comparied to other CMMS programs.

Started a CMMS program where before they had noting to track work orders other than email.

Pros

Ease of use (drop down boxes ). The different view options like the calendar view or the list view options that you can choose between.

Cons

Customer support varies greatly depending on who answers the phone at FMX. I have had some positive and some negative experiances.

FMX team is always there to help, work through any issues, and find the right solution. The program itself is is so user friendly, and easy to maneuver. It is not intimidating like other CMMS programs.

Pros

It is very easy to get the basic use out of. Regular maintenance work orders and PMs are simple to use. The ability to add pictures from a smartphone in work orders is excellent.

Cons

Some of the analytics are a little harder to find. This is not a “con” but if you are expecting a full blown ERP, this is not a fit. It is exactly what is advertised: a good web-based CMMS.

Best fiscal and operational decision made this year!

I've been in educational facilities management for 30 years and can say that transitioning from other well known school CMMS systems to FMX was the best decision I've made, it's so simple for my end users yet so powerful with a lot of features that other software companies will charge as an additional fee or a custom field.

Pros

Ease of install, ease of use by faculty and staff, can assign requests to two or more technicians in different departments, avoids scheduling of conflicting events, less expensive than previous CMMS system used on campus with more modules included, support staff is amazing, inventory control, generates reports that aid in staffing decisions, preventive maintenance module is easy to use and track.

Cons

I have not come across any issues that could not be easily resolved by the great support staff at FMX.

An Educational Network Facilities Management Perspective on FMX

Pros

I have interviewed over 25 different CMMS companies before settling down with FMX. FMX is super easy to use and very user friendly. My maintenance tech's can look at the simple calendar interface and see exactly what they need to do for the day (or week, or month!). Everything is color-coded and very simple to use, which was a MUST of our staff.

Cons

It is very hard to find anything to be disappointed with in FMX. The support team is amazing and has helped me with any questions I have have very quickly. There are a few features that are currently not offered, such as turning off a PM on holidays, or adding billable hours per technician hourly rates, that I would love to see added to the system. I have been told that these features are coming down the pike, and I am gratefully awaiting their release!

The most intuitive CMMS that I've ever come across.

We are a relatively small facility (100k sq ft), and were looking for something that could easily scale as we grow. We needed user-end customization. We needed powerful without heavy. We found all of these things in FMX... with an incredibly friendly and personal sales experience to boot. I don't have a bad thing to say about this CMMS. We are a year into it, and still loving it.

Pros

Intuitive. Not cumbersome. Customer service has a passionate small business feel.

None.

FMX: The Game Changer

My experience with FMX has been exceptional. Their implementation was seamless and their training is top-notch. They are very responsive any time I have questions or need assistance. They are wonderful in not only responding when I need help, but they always provide screenshots or offer to have a live call so I understand exactly what the answer is to my question. This approach allows me to learn so I can do things for myself in the future. I have used four different CMMS in my career and FMX is far superior to the others.

Pros

FMX is a great fit for our district because it is completely customizable. We are able to capture the information we need to be successful when requests are submitted so we can plan our work and show up prepared and on time. FMX has been able to offer solutions to help us better manage our workflow. We also benefit from the detailed dashboards and custom reporting features. There is never any guessing about the state of our work and what we have accomplished.

Cons

One feature I would like to see enhanced is the inventory order request. We would like to have real-time inventory data for all items in stock and available on the inventory order screen so requesters know how many of each item they are able to order, taking into account how many are on the shelf and how many items will be required to fulfill all existing open orders.

FMX is hands down the CMMS to use

We were using a different CMMS and it was cumbersome to use. I started looking at different programs and came across FMX. I also looked at several others. FMX appeared to be easy to use and it provided a lot of flexibility with being able to customize fields in any part of the system. Not to mention that all the modules are included in one price. The old system we used we had to pay for each module....

Pros

I love the each of use that each module provides for the end user and the customizing that is available to the administrator.

Cons

I wish there was an actual app to have on our phones for FMX. It would add to the ease of use for the maintenance person using it daily on the go.

Experience: We selected FMX after reviewing 6-7 other CMMS alternatives. Our decision was based on 1. ease of start up, 2. allowing requestors to submit an email and NOT log into a system, 3. the drop and drag flexibility on the calendar page which makes it simple to move a request to another day, 4. ease of adding a new request, and 5. a program that is simple to customize and move around in. BUT,...

Cons

Limitations on customizing the calendar to fit the needs of my operations. The lack of ability to create any report I want whenever I want. There is no app so I am limited to using FMX through my browser on my phone or iPad.
