Best Fit Solution for My Facility

The ability to export or embed the calendar in other sites and tools overcame the final custom printing hurdle.

Pros

The integration of events calendar with facilities maintenance team activities. The members of our staff can all login and view every event, get assigned task, review procedures, complete procedures, be updated immediately.

Cons

Key request module more like and inventory module - not designed to track history of person holding key the way I perform this task, since I cut keys in-house and track the return and possible reissue of a key including key fobs.

FMX has provided a very user-friendly solution for organizing the management of all my equipment.

It is so much easier having a software solution that provides reminders, calendars, work request tickets, inventory, and reporting all in one solution.

Pros

The reporting module is very helpful when pulling reports for my upper management. Also, the FMX support staff is incredibly responsive and helpful!!

Cons

In the main calendar view module, there are no notification icons to visually see that a new request has been added, modified, or responded too.

Best fiscal and operational decision made this year!

I've been in educational facilities management for 30 years and can say that transitioning from other well known school CMMS systems to FMX was the best decision I've made, it's so simple for my end users yet so powerful with a lot of features that other software companies will charge as an additional fee or a custom field.

Pros

Ease of install, ease of use by faculty and staff, can assign requests to two or more technicians in different departments, avoids scheduling of conflicting events, less expensive than previous CMMS system used on campus with more modules included, support staff is amazing, inventory control, generates reports that aid in staffing decisions, preventive maintenance module is easy to use and track.

Cons

I have not come across any issues that could not be easily resolved by the great support staff at FMX.

Providers are able to track hours, equipment use, inventory and plan ahead for projects.

Pros

Many of our teams used different software that were not compatible. FMX was able to collaborate with the various leads and provide one system where we all experience success in customer service. The team we worked with at FMX live up to their "Customer Success" titles!

Cons

Exporting/importing data across all modules would be an asset, but right now only certain modules share information.

Great software for managing maintenance operations.

User friendly software, I've used similar software before but it was not as detailed as FMX. i specifically like the inventory and reporting features.

Cons

Also automatic time stamp for when you Complete a Maintenance Request instead of manually inputting the time.

We are still working on getting individual departments working with the system.

Pros

I like the ability to add links to pictures or other files to individual equipment. I like the way the calendar is setup to look at individual work-orders (planned or reactive.) Ability to add/change employees easily.

Cons

Do not like the inventory section, troublesome and no specific relationship to generate a tracking and inventory control.

While we were tracking maintenance by other means (excel and paper requests) this system is significantly better.

Pros

I'm a visual organizer, and their calendar based system is perfect. Reporting is also pretty fantastic, allows for specific reports for each asset owned and managed in the system!

Cons

If a middle management person or above enters a request, life is good.

they took the time to understand how we operate and helped us customize some areas so it works for us.

Pros

Easy to use -- even facilities staff with limited tech skills can use it mobile device compatible reporting functions customizable ends the endless email back and forth and saves all correspondence about a request right in that request

Cons

the only feature I don't love is the calendar -- we don't really use the calendar function since it's impossible for us to schedule a date for every repair.

It does so many things for this organization, including tracking projects, all aspects of maintenance work orders, transportation requests & tracking, and especially management of schedule requests for efficient utilization of room and space on our campus.

I would also like to have an easier way to input a maintenance request for a work order which requires the same work to be completed in several different buildings.

Ease of use and simple interface with a great deal of capability makes FMX a great choice at all levels.

Pros

No need to remember passwords and worry about request types and location names for people who use it once a month!

Cons

There is some cumbersome functionality with users, confirmations and notifications in our work flow but the FMX team has been great at addressing and looking for solutions.

I received the benefit of having a fluid facility requests process along with tracking equipment purchases, inventory tracking, and vehicle maintenance recording.

Pros

I like how flexible the software is. The team is always working to improve it as well, and it continues to become better and more flexible. And the team is always available to help me understand and maximize the software's flexibility.

Cons

Which is not saying much, because some things that I have imagined trying to do has either eventually been added as a feature or I found a work around.
