What is Warehouse Management System?
The GBMS Warehouse Management System (WMS) is designed for single or multi-warehouse companies that want to automate data collection to manage all aspects of their inventory. The software integrates multiple data collection capabilities including barcode scanning & wireless mobile data collection. The WMS application can be accessed from any radio frequency (FR) handheld device or web-enabled PC.
GBMS WMS supports multiple item configurations including build, kit, cost, purchase, and service. Active and inactive items can be tracked with full historical information, and users are able to capture expiration dates, lot numbers, lot dates, serial numbers, UPC numbers, and more. Items can be received in different units of measurement (UOM) such as per unit (EA), full case, or pallet. Users can print barcode labels automatically during receiving, and flag specific items for inspection to automatically generate inspection advice and move items from receiving to inspection locations. GBMS WMS also allows users to set minimum, maximum, and safety inventory levels for monitoring, and required reason codes for any adjustments, which are automatically logged in the audit trail.
An unlimited number of warehouses can be defined in GBMS WMS, with multiple zones and locations. Flags enable the restriction of shipments from specific warehouses, and different price lists can be assigned to each location or warehouse. Alternate item IDs are fully supported, allowing users to select which catalog to use during order line entries. GBMS WMS also includes a range of ad hoc and scheduled reports such as shipping summaries, inventory transactions, count audits, inventory value, shipping costs, and more.
