I have been very happy with the responsiveness of their customer service team. The reason I joined, 8 years ago, was that their web site said that they wanted to have "the best customer service in the industry." That sold me. I am a one-woman business and cannot afford to waste time with poor customer service.

Pros
I am very happy with this product. I like that the online display only shows available times. That keeps the display clean and augments my privacy. (I have seen other products where the online display shows the entire day's outlook. Ick!)

Cons
I am sorry they raised the price! It used to be $20/month and now $39. I am interested in only the scheduling side of this product. I am not happy as they promote enhanced features, because they will likely raise the price. I already do my credit card payments else (with Square, another great service) Please keep a "basic" service with a low price.

Genbook is so easy to use for both the company and customer. I chose genbook because at the time was the only company to offer and app for Apple and Android users.

Cons

Scheduling in real time. Cuts down on phone calls. Nice email/text reminders for appointments.

Cons
Some technical issues at times. People getting appt reminders for appointments they did not make. Other technical problems with slow service. Blocked or off line times showing as online (has happened only occasionally).

I like that this software is always updating and ensuring that we're able to use it with ease.

My only complaint is that the updates come years after other software apps have been updated to most functions and it comes at a cost(price increase).

Genbook has been a great tool in my sole-proprietorship business, enabling me to easily handle client scheduling in person or over the internet. My clients find it easy to use when scheduling themselves; and the email and text reminders that nudge them to remember their appointments keep my weeks running smoothly (without my having to hire a receptionist to do confirmation calls!)

Pros
The Genbook software includes good coverage of the scheduling basics that I need for running my therapy business. I really like the easy of setting up the online scheduling page with details that tailor it to represent my business well. About 60% of my clients use the online scheduling, and like the control that it gives them. I also find the appointment reminders (sent to clients via text and email) very helpful in ensuring clients show up. One of my favorite features is the request for a review that is emailed after the initial session a client has with me, and then periodically after that. The reviews are then published on the online scheduling site, and easily placed on my other websites as well. This is great for promoting my business, giving other potential clients information and a sense of familiarity that encourages them to schedule.

Cons
I frequently have trouble with the app on my mobile device, and this frustrates me. The issues vary; but the one that gives me the most trouble is the app being slow to update my schedule, so I have to do double-checks. I also feel that the monthly price is high for the level of service that I am getting from it. In my business, I don't need most of the features that were added during the most recent price increase. The monthly price is very reasonable IF I needed the features; but I don't, so for me it was a sizeable price hike that didn't add value. I would prefer more tiers of choices/prices for the software.

Over the last 7 years, I have recommended Genbook to other business owners. Why? The ease of client interface, whether on the mobile app or Genbook website, and the ability to write clear descriptions, of the various massage modalities I offer, and the cost. It's a full-service 'virtual assistant' at an affordable price. Genbook brings a level of professionalism to my scheduling process. My clients also love the 'Offers' page, where they can purchase a discounted package, or session, and book immediately.

It has been very helpful to my transition to computer and tech based booking.

Pros
I'm not tech savvy. When I started phones were still plugged in the wall. Booking appointments using Genbook is easy. It's like they thought of almost everything. I can online chat or call a real person if I have a question. My clients like the email reminder feature and it has reduced missed appointments. I was able to seamlessly incorporate the software into my website.

Cons
I can't change the cost of services if I need to for specific clients. I don't want to add a new service, I just want to have the flexibility to change the price listed.

I really loved it when I had it. I loved being able to take deposits and I was able to stay organized.

I most liked the customer service! They were very helpful and were really on top of getting my questions answered.

I didn’t want to leave but I found another booking site that had the exact same features and was little bit cheaper so I switched over but I do miss being able to take deposits though.

Thanks to this program we were able to start our tutoring program. At the time could not afford, nor did we want the complicated features of the big name programs out there. We are grateful for the opportunity it afforded us.

Pros
The customers almost never have any problem signing in for appointments and since 2011, I can only remember 1 time the system was down. The cost cannot be beat. We have 70 individuals who are providing services and appointments can be scheduled by clients 24/7. Their analytics tool is very good.

Genbook helps me fill my appt book at all hours of the day and night. It's also helpful with sending confirmations and reminders to my clients for their appts so I don't have to.

Pros
Genbook is easy to set up and maintain, and it's extremely user friendly for my clients to book appointments online. You can't argue with the pricing either! Since I'm a Sole Proprietor, most other scheduling software programs are cost prohibitive, but Genbook is perfect for me and my budget.

Cons
I would like to see a feature that allows scheduling for classes and a component that offers email marketing options. With my full database in Genbook, it would be great to be able to send out blanket emails with announcements and promotions a kin to Constant Contact or Mailchimp.

My experience has been positive. Add the option to book classes and workshops and you will have a customer for life.

Pros
What I like best about Genbook is it's ease of use and the fact that it's so reliable. I can't recall a time in the 10+ years I have been using it where I have had issues. The reviews collection and display is invaluable to me because my online reviews are responsible for most of my first time clients.

Cons
What I like least about this software is the lack of diversity it offers in types of bookings. I have to use another software to book workshops and classes and since I offer a variety of services it would be handy if I could schedule certain types of appointments that would be only available on specific dates. It's expensive. If it weren't for the reviews I would have already left for a cheaper option.

This software is extremely user and admin friendly. Implementing it made a huge difference in numbers of bookings, and the appointment reminders have reduced no-shows. Reviews with google integration also make reputation management a snap.

I love that my clients can access my schedule 24/7/365. Online booking really frees up my time and is convenient and easy for my clients to use (especially compared to other online booking systems). I love that my clients are prompted to leave reviews - this feature has helped to bring in new clients to my business. Overall very happy with Genbook and will continue using it for years to come.

Very easy to set up and use. Convenient for customers to use and manage appointments. Great features. Affordable. Fantastic customer service. I've been using Genbook since it first launched and they keep adding valued features. Very reliable! I highly recommend Genbook!

Cons
No cons really at all. There have been a couple of times the system has gone down, but the company is on it immediately and communicates well with their customers. This can happen to any cloud based service, but over the past 10 years I've used Genbook, I can only remember it happening a couple of times.

I have been with genbook since they started several years ago and this software saves me the cost of hiring a receptionist! Best value for any service I purchase for the business monthly!

Ease of use. I can customize my availability each day and each session. I love how it automatically sends reminders two clients Which minimizes no shows. I love how it has the feature that allows me to send customized confirmation emails depending on the service that I am providing to an individual customer. Great customer service.

Cons
The feature I like the least is that they only integrate taking payments or deposits for sessions upfront with Stripe. It would be nice if they offered equation with PayPal. I wish they integrated with Mailchimp as well as Constant Contact.
