with Hippo CMMS we create visibility and transparency

Inventory of parts that easily can be related to any machine activity helping us to keep the control of the parts purchased, creating alerts when replenishment is required just entering the threshold with the min and max desire.

Pros

Equipment management, Scheduling preventive maintenance and creation of demand orders giving us an increase in productivity.

Cons

For a regular use, non an IT person, the reporting is not flexible, export information from tables is difficult to relate the fields.

Great software for maintenance and work orders management

Highly recommended if you are having issues with tasks management and time management with the maintenance of your facilities.

Pros

Having a web-based software with all the functionalities offered by this one was never an alternative until we tried and purchased this. Reports and easy of use from all user levels are definitely a plus.

Cons

The site and user forms could be more attractive visually, instead of just drop down boxes and blanks.

We are able to track all work orders, costs of each work order, parts inventory, and have scheduled preventative maintenance work orders automatically generate.

Pros

We really like the mobile app. Hippo desktop version syncs with your smartphone or IPad via the Hippo mobile app.

We rely on the email alert function to be fully functional.

Technical support by Hippo is above board. I am building our system on the fly and it is not too bad. I am previously familiar with the software having built a system for a previous employer. We have way to much equipment and are too large a plant to have engaged a HIPPO equipment survey. Not having anything in place and the need to start made it essential to go this route. We ordered software and it launched two days later. My Mechanics are getting more done in a day. Their morale has improved and they can get detailed instruction at their fingertips.

Pros

I use the mobile connection via smart phones to make work orders, parts, resources, and manuals available.

Cons

There needs to be a cost center work order field that can track and report output per cost center for budgeting.

The overall experience with HippoCMMS has been good. It is a great product for the price.

The unlimited users accounts, reports, documents, pictures, and specifications that can be added to equipment and facilities, mobile access, and preventative maintenance module.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to have more ability to customize reporting, Demand work order fields and dashboard. There is not the ability to create a work order via email submission or respond to notifications via email.

For our health standards, I can print out reports. I can track the status of preventative maintenance requests and demand work orders without having to ask the staff.

I have used Hippo CMMS for over 2 years and as a Maintenance Manager for 2 different hotels Hippo is invaluable to our business and to running my department effectively.With it being so user friendly Hippo does not require much time to train (Minutes) and is accessible by all staff in both hotels.It also enables the user to update whoever entered a work order via email automatically therefore cutting down correspondence time.Excellent App with excellent customer service that provide help within minutes and very friendly and personable.

HIPPO CMMS - GREAT VALUE, SUPPORT AND USER FRIENDLY

We started using Hippo CMMS three years ago and since then, we have created a PM program and have been able to start tracking data on our machines that was not available before implementation.

Pros

I like the easy user interface and the reporting options.

Cons

Functionality is lacking of some of the other larger, more expensive systems, but don't let this be a deterrent.

We have a much more seamless program for the maintenance guys to use which means our maintenance data is much more reliable than it's been in the past.

Pros

This allows them to be more confident and curious and confidence and curiosity lead to better data in and better data out.

Cons

The inventory aspect is fantastic when it comes to tracking usage and notifying the need to replenish, but there are processes that I would like to see added; showing replenishment history, reporting on where parts are used (vs on what work order), and inventory below minimum (vs at or below).

Terrific CS and support!

We are unable to use Hippo to its full extent but have found full value in the tracking, preventive maintenance and common areas for our building and facilities staff.

Pros

The customer support and attention to detail has been terrific. Hippo is always eager to help and answer questions. Our Facilities Managers value the information and documentation the app can store on our equipment and preventive maintenance items.

Cons

Our only con right now is that Hippo does not interface with our Property Management Software, so we are limited in how we can use Hippo for our lodging/guest room maintenance items.

Maintenance program with low cost is a plus. Reports for auditors help with paperwork and tracking.

Pros

Cost to the functions that you can do to get a company that had written preventive maintenance to now scheduled preventive program. It's a good start to a maintenance program.

Cons

Like more freedom when setting up PMs in writing what you want task to be to where they can check them off when completed.

With HIPPO CMMS we are able to keep track of the preventative maintenance in a more proactive way than before.

Pros

HIPPO CMMS gives us the ability to run individual reports for each piece of equipment.

Cons

It would be nice to have some sort of text box linked to each piece of equipment where you could keep notes and helpful information instead of using the Documents tab. If I need to write a note about a piece of equipment I have to edit a document then reload it to the HIPPO system.

Thank you for your great review. It's good to hear that Hippo is being a helpful and versatile tool for your organization.
Please keep in mind that system administrators can customize user permissions in a way they can get notifications for all requests in all facilities if necessary. Considering Novation IQ has many different locations and departments using Hippo, I understand it can be a bit tricky to set up the right permissions across the entire enterprise. When rejecting work order requests, it automatically pops up a window to insert the reasons for rejecting (for example, if it's a duplicate or something that has already been fixed), but I understand some users still skip this step sometimes.
