Pros

Sound public API, brilliant support and ability to build custom dedicated interface are the key points of the success.
We are still at the implementation stage of using Loc8 but I can see the benefit this software will have for our company. Loc8 is a great tool for equipment tracking and asset management.
I actually love that the customer can accept or deny my estimate sent to them by email. I also like that it turns your accepted estimates into jobs.

Pros

I used Primavera for so many years, it is a very strong scheduling software that has powerful functionality and allows you to generate sophisticated schedules.
As stated above, this tool is great as project management software. The time tracking capability was so easy to implement and met our companies needs, that we used it throughout.
Once used to the system and formats it was easy to use. Early on customer support was amazing.

Cons

The inability to see certain fields that were available on V3 and inability to change status to anything without having to change twice.
Deceptive costs... and i wasted 20 hours entering data.
So far, there is nothing that we can say negative about the software. We use it for simply managing our technician's schedule.

Cons

Primavera required a specific version of Java to be deployed, which caused a lot of lost productivity trying to roll back our Java installations internally.
Current customer support by Oracle is terrible. EI and Java could never be updated otherwise the software would not function.
The absolute biggest annoyance was the fact that the platform we were using had to be a specific version of Java, and any updates from that versions rendered the platform unusable.
