Pros

The best part of the software is that you You can download data for any period that you desire. It provides with a very user-friendly dashboard and the ease of accounting is also there.
It's ability to allow the user to customise the report by adding data field(s) which is great as we do not always need to go behind IT Professional asking for help.
The ability to customize just about anything your organization wants is rewarding. And if you are willing to spend, you can have your system fit your business processes like a glove.

Pros

Good application with good user experience, also the user interface is good. This is a great product if you don't want to customize.
The thing I like the most is the freedom I have to make changes within the system. I appreciate the extensive the reporting features and the capabilities to export to different formats.
The Appearance and ease of use make it pleasurable to use, because all navigation controls are visible, clear and accessible.

Cons

My advice for those scoping out Netsuite is seriously analyze your business requirements and then advocate the hell for them in the scoping or implementation phases.
Please do your research before you find yourself stuck in a contract with a bunch of misleading employees that won't even respond to your email or try to address your concerns.
I hate the reporting functionality, avoid it if I can. Might be that I don't really understand its uses.

Cons

Corrigo will pick it up and work with that date , the same issue if an email was input wrong in MRI then Corrigo will receive the wrong email.
The only con I can think of is that if you input some information wrong in MRI.
The program has several drawbacks, with the biggest being its very poor search function.

Pros

The software handles the basics of running an Enterprise with straightforward functionality. It is extensible and handles customizations well.

Cons

Releasing of funcationality can be slow. The software only supports OAuth 1.0a which can be problematic for newer integrations. Finding qualified programmers and admins can be difficult.

Pros

Netsuite has been around forever. Now it is cloud based and allows you to run your entire enterprise in one package.

Cons

Pricing can be a little high. Oracle as a company can be very difficult to work with. Support can be iffy sometimes.

New enterprise customer on NS still working through issues

There doesn't seem to be as much emphasis on large "enterprise" customers on NS as there is on small retail start ups.

Pros

Global search, it is very easy to pull up a check, invoice or journal entry. Especially for non finance departments.

Cons

Performance, intercompany functionality, uploads and GL matching. We have extensive work arounds in place. Also the AP void, cancel process does not meet basic needs. Can't cancel an invoice and/or a credit memo from a prior period and have the GL impact of the cancel hit the GL on the day it happens. It zeros out the original invoice which does not work well for large companies reconciling their accounts on a daily balance. Audit trails are lacking in this area too.

Pros

Netsuite can be modified to meet the needs of many types of businesses. There are a lot of services that can be added. A good solution for medium to enterprise-sized companies.

Cons

Once you integrate Netsuite into all of your Operations, you are now 100% dependent on the uptime of Netsuite's web services. They show a 99.98%, but I have seen at least a couple of times where the status for a region changed to green, meaning "up," but the issue was not resolved 20-30 minutes later. Anyone using Netsuite needs to have a developer build dashboards and searches.

Pros

Netsuite does a good job organizing time entry across an enterprise level business. I'm only familiar with the front end, but my understanding is the back end reporting is more robust than more simplistic solutions.

Cons

This is a web-based software, and is not very fast. Some features seem to have been built with that back end reporting in mind, and not for the front end users. That can lead to inefficiencies for entering and approving time, which is not ideal.

A great tool but not a solution

We have over 100 users and use almost every feature available: webstore, ERP, CRM, Marketing Automation. We provide Engineering Services (maintenance services and design / build / install) and Distribution (Retail / Wholesale). It's a fantastic tool but people should never expect the tool alone to provide the business solution. The solution is clearly defining your business processes end to end from a customer experience perspective. Reporting is easy using Saved Searches.

Pros

Very flexible and adaptable. Cloud based and covers the full range of enterprise needs. Easy to use and good online help resources. Huge range of apps / partners can be used to establish exactly what your business needs.

Cons

You need access to specialist capabilities for a really effective implementation. Don't rely on their professional services unless you have very deep pockets. Customer service support is fine for simple issues and questions; usually good technical understanding but have trouble translating that into operational context. I've developed a fairly deep understanding of the entire suite excluding accounting. Helps me engage directly with the professional services and development people when working up solutions.

ERP cloud based, very complete software, it is a lot more cheaper than the oracle solution, you can access the software from any device even from cell phones. you can use it for all your company from sales to shipping all the cicle, you can evan control your manufacturing , purchase orders, inventory, etc. one of the best and completes ERP on the market

even it is cheaper than oracle enterprise it is still a lot expensive for small companies , even the price for every user is not that expensive but the implementation cost is very very high

It’s hands down the best platform on the market for distributors. With Amazon’s impact on B2B eCommerce distributors are looking for new eCommerce avenues and NetSuite seamlessly provides this as a part of the solution.

Pros

Throughout my career I have worked with a lot of enterprise software platforms. The thing I like most about NetSuite is the ease of administration/maintenance and flexibility. It is an ERP, CRM, eCommerce and Business process development platform in one. Users are hard-pressed to find a business case they can’t be custom developed a NetSuite with ease well writing through future software upgrades without headaches. This is extremely rare in enterprise software platforms. NetSuite is a future-proof platform for your business, you can’t outgrow it, you won’t have to worry about upgrades ever again, not to mention you will only have one system to run your entire business. You can’t find that any where else!

Cons

The user interface has been somewhat outdated, but this is common in enterprise software and NetSuite is making huge strides to improve the GUI. Also the ability to slice and dice data on dashboards is a welcome feature coming in the next few releases.

Focus on competencies and make some hard decisions

NetSuite can be a best in breed platform for the right company that goes into the engagement and implementation with a clear, sober picture of what it does well versus where it does not spend development resources. Do not try to make NetSuite your everything. If you do not have internal business system/enterprise application management resources and need consulting or professional services, do not use NS Professional Service.

Pros

Pretty solid ERP system, good platform extensibility with multiple API options, scripting, and other customization. Account management team does a good job advocating internally.

Cons

CRM and Support Case management is limited, riddled with issues, and marked by neglect. Email infrastructure is a complete mess with outages given no urgency. Since Oracle acquisition uptime and reliability have gone sharply downhill across the application, and there is no accountability nor follow up. Front line Customer Support teams are outsourced, limited in hours, and generally incompetent. Professional Services team is incapable of any complex tasks and largely lacks basic communication skills.

NetSuite is a business management software suite offered as a service that performs enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) functions. NetSuite Financials includes applications for financial accounting, financial reporting and analytics, payment management, order and billing management, supply chain management and inventory management. Financial information through NetSuite can be accessed through a web browser or mobile device. The system undergoes automatic upgrades and comes with various customization options. NetSuite is cloud-based and runs on a range of internet browsers.

Cons

Does not supports data export into xls files. CSV files are limited to only one worksheet for export, not multiple worksheets as xls files

NetSuite meets all expectations. Whether it's a simple "financials only" implementation or a full blow "entire enterprise with many modules" play, NetSuite fills the needs of most any small-to-medium business looking to either transition from an accounting-only platform or to grow to a centralized data platform. In addition to being a world class SaaS solution, NetSuite is also a quality PaaS solution as qualified configs and customizers can create custom functionality via fairly simple code.

An honest look at NetSuite by a Finance User

our processing time of producing customer invoices was significantly reduced. We can now create invoices in a matter of hours vs numerous days using Quickbooks Enterprise. We were able to save almost 1 FTE and then spend that resource on other projects. The bank reconciliation, when it works, greatly reduced the time spent on it and the accuracy. With being able to import and connect our payroll software through web services we are able to greatly enhance the payroll detail.

Pros

the reporting functionality, saved searches and financial document reports. They give you a base you can then customize and bring in your custom fields. The snap ons and add ins are also very helpful such as web services for third parties such as payroll, 1099 forms, and bank rec files

Cons

your bank reconciliation is less than ideal. Your fixed asset module is also well underwater. Would recommend investing significant resources on that or dump it.... very hard to use, very easy to break. Its nice having the asset listing in one place though along with scrips to run depreciation.

Our use of NetSuite has eliminated the need for a lot of maintenance and support for our systems, as it is available in the cloud, and connects all enterprise networks to it, which helps us to constantly work remotely under all circumstances. Through NetSuite, we have been able to build an integrated system that includes all our data, which helps us to evaluate resources and know the efficiency of operations, as the automation that we obtained through NetSuite contributed to enhancing our ability to make the right decisions.

Pros

My favorite feature of NetSuite is its capacity to report on a wide range of enterprise processes and operations, as well as its ability to be scalable. When it comes to working with NetSuite, team members will find the user interface simple and easy to understand. With NetSuite, we are able to save data and transactions quickly and easily, and it is also very adaptable and scalable to meet our needs....

Cons

NetSuite is one of the best resource planning tools ever, but like the rest of the Oracle tools, the user needs several training sessions to be able to use it in an optimal way, in addition to that, the subscription prices are high, which limits the ability of small groups to benefit from its services.

The ability to customize just about anything your organization wants is rewarding. And if you are willing to spend, you can have your system fit your business processes like a glove. Integration apps, along with native functionality of workflows can put your business in a “semi-autopilot mode.” Practically limitless reporting capabilities. You can manage almost every aspect of the your organization while enforcing internal controls and monitoring employees with full visibility. I would recommend for enterprises with no less than 8M in sales and with at least 8 or more users to leverage the full functionality of this role-based system. Netsuite is built to fit the needs of each role within your organization, from the sales rep and warehouse manager to the A/R clerk and controller.

Cons

Nasty corporate culture. No accountability for system issues, error, or outages. Sneaky contracts that will hook you with discounts and raise fees exorbitantly after your are stuck with your data and huge conversion costs. Nightmarish implementation that Netsuite outsources to foreign “professional” services that know pretty much the same as you would do from the get go. They barely speak English—incorrect...
