Pros

The best part of the software is that you You can download data for any period that you desire. It provides with a very user-friendly dashboard and the ease of accounting is also there.
It's ability to allow the user to customise the report by adding data field(s) which is great as we do not always need to go behind IT Professional asking for help.
The ability to customize just about anything your organization wants is rewarding. And if you are willing to spend, you can have your system fit your business processes like a glove.

Pros

Square is an awesome piece of software to use. The retail side has great capabilities for sales, inventory, gift cards, rewards, and much much more.
Square is very simple to learn and use as an end user, and it has gain a lot of popularity recently, customers feel more and more comfortable with this system.
Easy and inexpensive way to take credit card payments for my small business. This provider is awesome, and helps my small business to easily accept cards.

Cons

My advice for those scoping out Netsuite is seriously analyze your business requirements and then advocate the hell for them in the scoping or implementation phases.
Please do your research before you find yourself stuck in a contract with a bunch of misleading employees that won't even respond to your email or try to address your concerns.
I hate the reporting functionality, avoid it if I can. Might be that I don't really understand its uses.

Cons

If I am to complain about something I would complain about the percentage I am giving back to square but that it the cost of doing business.
The only thing that has ever been slightly frustrating is the traditional card reader being sensitive when swiping cards. Sometimes I'll have to try 3-4 times to get it to register.
I dislike that it fails sometimes and it is not accessible at many different vendors and restaurants.

NetSuite Suite Commerce Advanced acts as central hub for my Point of Sale, Ecomm Platform, Inventory, and CRM.

Cons

The rollout was slow and the customizations have taken a long time to come into fruition which can be frustrating.

Pros

The product is cloud-based, so it can be accessed from anywhere. The website feature is easy to use to place items for sale, and interfaces seamlessly to our website URL.

Cons

For lists, individuals and companies are assigned as vendors, customers or contacts, and cannot be both or all, so multiple accounts need to be set up for customers who are also vendors. The report functions are very useful, but difficult to set up correctly.

I don’t have a say in changing what we use, but if given the choice I would go with SF. Moved companies which meant moving and learning new software.

Pros

Ease of use is there for basic functions. Nice dashboard page with quick access to high level reports.

Cons

Not as customizable as sales force Somewhat more complicated to use vs SF Diving into reports is significantly complex compared to SF Adding items to a potential sale not real user friendly

From contract negotiation, implementation and after sales support, this has been my worst vendor experience as a 20 year professional.

Pros

Cloud based implementation made acceptance by our IT team easy.

Cons

Difficult to use. Poor reporting capabilities. Customization limited and requires vendor expertise. Service after the sale is a joke. Even when there is an issue on the NetSuite side, response is days in coming and often useless.

Pros

High end, custom fit to work with your company's processes. It can run in any industry and basically accomplish any task necessary to ERP. I'm almost convinced that this software can produce any report or trend analysis, if you learn their language.

Cons

So expensive. For a top of the line ERP, that's what you can expect though. You'd be better off buying an expensive ERP than dealing with the headache of a pain-point laden ERP.

Overall, this product would be great if it were more customizable. It does not talk to any of the other software we use for financial tracking purposes and this makes integration of product / usage very difficult.

Pros

I am able to easily see what is on hand for a particular product and easily identify the reorder point.

Cons

Creating a customized report is near impossible.

Pros

Good level of customization available. NetSuite provides a lot of automation that adapts to different levels of growth of a company

Cons

The price point is a bit high. Also, sometimes is a bit slow in loading pages

Netsuite, account management that saves from unnecessary stress

It is straight and direct to the point. That is, it is user friendly. I do not often find it difficult using the software.

Pros

It is user friendly. You can easily just know where to click or go to to access what you need without needing much instructions/tutorilas.

Cons

When I tried doing an expense report at a time. The category the expense was meant to be classified wouldn't permit my entry. I had to contact the person in charge of helping to manage our organization account. The person then, suggested I choose something different in other to complete the process

Difficult for a User Use to Salesforce

Pros

No fluff. Very to the point. Not as meany features as Salesforce. You can change the colors which is fun to match your company's logo/theme.

Cons

Difficult to get used to if you're familiar to Salesforce. Netsuite and Salesforce have different verbiage and it's difficult to make the comparisons.

To a great system that I would prefer over Salesforce.

Pros

I really like this program better than sales force because it’s easier to Navigate set of the systems. I enjoy this particular program because allow me to update information system from another system and not allowing me to duplicate things

Cons

Nothing that I can say that I don’t like about this program because I like it better than selves for salesforce us up with that I’ll miss all of it more work and NetSuite is more up-to-date and to the point.

Used by our sales department (AV distribution) for invoicing as well as CRM

Multiple tools in one

Pros

The best part of NetSuite is it's integration of both CRM and invoicing. Prior to utilizing, we were using two separate platforms for each.

Cons

NetSuite takes a bit of time to get used to - not super intuitive from the start. The more time you spend with it, however, the easier it becomes. We also had some questionable customer service with our initial rep at one point (in regards to scheduling/cancelling appointments on us).

Having worked with a number of different ERP systems over the years I find NetSuite by far the easiest to use not only in terms of usability but also from an Admin and configuration point of view. Cons

Generally I don't have too may cons regarding NetSuite. Sometimes the support can take a while to reply, but that may be more due to timezone differences. Also NetSuite can occasionally roll out bundle updates which change functionality without too much notification. The same is also true of system maintenance, which can sometimes be during business hours, but again this is more due to time zones.

Ready to move on

I used to be a big promoter of NetSuite for organizations of a similar size. We have been with NetSuite for 14 years and thought we would have been a valued client at this point. However, those days are clearly in the past. Your account manager changes every six months so you have to repeat your pain points over and over with no resolution. The price keeps going up and up, with minimal to no use for their "enhancements". I am ready to migrate away.

Pros

It is very customizable. Building reports or searches is easy. It makes the analysis part of my job very easy.

Cons

It has become very expensive without adding functionality that saves us time.

excellent functionality, but clunky UI and prices

Pros

First, I think this software is one of the most robust ERP systems out there - it was heavily customizable for all our needs, especially analyzing the financial statements and using the search/query features. In addition, I found the customer service to be top notch. They were extremely responsive and helpful with our specific needs. Finally, I think the the dashboard screen was helpful as an overview of the company and easy access to changes to be made.

Cons

While this is not about the software, Oracle has been hiking up prices for the past few years, to the point that it's gotten costly. It might be a relevant barrier for smaller companies. However, otherwise, I think the software itself requires a lot of training to use. In addition, integration with legacy software isn't as smooth as I would've liked.

you can see what data is changed and by who it has been changed.

Cons

too much info on screen what is irrelevant for me. No customization for my setup what i need to work with no use of tab and arrows, only use of mouse what causes me RSI. If you make a error or change somewhere it's almost impossible to adjust all related data. It's a chain reaction, if somebody in the office don't make a Work Order, I can't make a pick list. It's not so automated as told by sale. we need more people to do the same work then before. making a pick list cost me more time then before. i need a bigger screen to see all data, or i need to scroll like i have to do right now. can't put extra info on a pick list

Pros and Cons - Don't fall for their sale pitch

- The implementation has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The sales team pushes for a sale that does not include all the client's needs, resulting in the need for change orders which causes delays. -The implementation team is friendly and proactive but inexperienced/ with little supervision - I can tell they are working hard to find solutions for me, but they seem to be scrambling to...

- The software allows for some visual customization of the home page based on each role that is easy to do without the help of a programmer. For example, customize the views for each roles, set up alerts, etc. - The search bar within the software works extremely well, which makes it easier to navigate; - The use of the software is intuitive and easy to follow/ learn; - The SuiteAnswers articles are very helpful in answering questions/ showing how to do anything one may need in the system.

Cons

Before selecting this software, I read several reviews saying the biggest issue was the how difficult it was to customize the software. Here are some actual examples: 1. If you want a new field (which they call segment) to be tracked for reporting purposes, you need to create a costume segment, which wont be part of the basic product the sales team sells to you. Take care of the financial aspects of our company.

Pros

You can really customize this software but need tech skills or outsource this tasks. In our case we have been doing both. It is great what you can acomplish with it.

Cons

It's very expensive for the size of our company. Another major disadvantage for us it's that the mexican laws and updates are not taken in account.

Great Expectations vs Reality

Pros

There is an ease to using NetSuite that allows for cross training of employees. Working from the cloud instead of local server allows the company to offer the ability to work from anywhere as a benefit that was not fiscally available before switching.

Cons

Cost of additional services pushes some of the software functions out of the price range of small companies. I don't like having to get outside programs to make printing of shipping labels easier.
