As I said previously the team had the idea that we were going to need additional software to design and produce all our prototypes (considering the special needs of our CNC machines), but we ended up adopting Fusion completely for the whole design process.
It's the most affordable CAD/CAM alternative for our team (and I know I'm not alone on that). Fusion has actually surprised us for good with its capabilities, since at first glance we thought we were going to need additional software to design and mechanize prototypes, but we ended up adopting Fusion completely even for using it directly with our dated CNC machines.
Learning the software from zero it's a bit hard, specially coming from other "traditional" softwares like Pro-Engineer and Solidworks, but it totally pays off in the end. But I would totally like to see more customizable keyboard shortcuts and interface parts.

The project management capabilities alongside its robust and easy to use UI makes it a dream for any designer to use.
The cost of getting the software on an yearly subscription is very high.

Fusion 360 has made it really easy to prototype designs, as it is much easier to pick up than a lot of other CAD software, like Inventor and Solidworks, and significantly cheaper.
First of all, it's really easy to use, and it can run on lower-specced machines that can't run other CAD solutions. I also love how it's cross-platform. I switched from Windows to macOS about a year ago, and still have to use Windows for certain software, but I can start a project on my Mac and easily open the same project on a Windows device. And everything is saved to the cloud so it's super easy...
Sometimes Fusion takes a while to launch. Another issue I have is with the pricing of cloud renderings. If you are a student you have unlimited 'cloud credits', but for a hobbyist or business, you have to buy a pack of at least 100 credits for $100, and every time a cloud rendering or simulation is done, you have to pay one of those credits. It doesn't seem like much, but it does add up, and I would personally refrain from using the cloud rendering and simulation services.

For anyone who does not want to drop thousands of dollars on a modeling program, Fusion 360 is the best choice.
Fusion 360, I believe, is the best tool in its price range for 3D modeling. It is very affordable, and for the price, very powerful.
There are a few things here and there that I am unable to do in Fusion, however there is usually a workaround.

I has been an incredible experience for me so far
I Like this Software because it is easy to use and learn. It provides us with a variety of options for 3D Modelling. I also allow us the option of 3D Printing and FEA for testing us models under different conditons
I think that this software is quite expensive for smaller organizations and for freelancers other than that I Completely like is software

The use that I have given to Fusion 360 is more oriented to modeling simple parts and parts to be printed in 3D, in these areas it is even more versatile than the other software I have used, such as Autodesk Invetor and SolidWorks, which I have used. used to perform complex assemblies and simulations. Fusion 360 has been very useful for me to make prototypes to scale in the 3D printer
Fusion 360 is a lighter and cheaper alternative for the design of 3d parts and machines, although it does not have all the features that can be found in specialized software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks, that simplicity and low cost can mean an advantage if what you want to design and draw is not very complex. Another great advantage is that Fusion 360 can be used for free if you are looking for a hobby use. For example to manufacture parts on your 3D printer or on your CNC router.
As it is a technical software, free modeling is somewhat restricted, so if you are looking to make aesthetic models or with complex shapes, this software is not the best alternative. In terms of mechanical design, although you can get good results with simple parts and machines, for complex assemblies it will also be somewhat limited and you will have to opt for options such as Autodesk Inventor.

Fusion 360 is a fantastic program at a great price. Since bringing this tool into our environment we have pretty much stopped using everything else.
What initially drew us to Fusion 360 was the price compared to Rhino or Solidworks. However, this is a POWERFUL tool with just about every feature we could ask for.
Our team who had previously worked with Solidworks and Rhino took to Fusion 360 very quickly. Personally, I am more of a novice on CNC. For me the learning curve was pretty steep. Ultimately I found a course on it which helped a TON.

I want to describe the experience as positive, even though I have not enjoyed it much. I found it difficult to enter the right mindset and sometimes the program on my PC, a not so powerful laptop, became a bit slow compared to other similar programs like Inventor, in a way that made the design process frustrating.Although, the availability of a FEM module is awesome, casuse it is very rare to find a good one for free.
The program is very complete, it features CAM, FEM, CAD and even a good rendering system. Considering that the program can be used for free for non commercial purposes with few limitations, it is a very practical and powerful solutions for amateurs on a budget. Furthermore, the integration level of all those features makes it easy to switch from one to the other. Finally, it occupies very low space on your computer compared to many other alternatives.
I don't like very much the concept of having your project online and working on parts that are stored there, and this is the direction towards which the program pushes, even though it allows to save everything on your computer as well.I've found the workflow to be a bit not so straightforward, coming from Inventor, everything was a bit different and I had a bit of difficulty of entering in the right mindset.

Fusion 360 has a wide range of features that allow you to create and manipulate models, drawings, and assemblies. It also has powerful simulation, analysis, and rendering tools to help you get the most out of your designs.Extensibility: Fusion 360 is extensible, which means you can customize it to meet your specific needs. There are a number of add-ons and plugins available to extend the capabilities of the software.
Fusion 360 is not free, although subscription options make it more affordable.

The cloud-based rendering is a great feature in Fusion 360 which puts way less strain on your cpu compared to a local render, allowing to continue working uninterrupted. There are a ton of render options for both your model and the background environment, and the final quality of the rendered images is fantastic. I like the cloud-based file sharing option which allows you to collaborate with others on the same project. It's also available for mac operating system as well as windows unlike some of its competitors. Regular updates and improvements that run relative unnoticed in the background, and they are constantly adding cool new features. It takes up very little room on your hard drive as the software is mostly cloud-based.
Fusion 360 is still a relative newcomer in the 3D modeling software world, and although I think it is a great contender to it's competitors, it is still very glitchy and crashes often. The output file format options are very limited compared to the input file format options.

It's bad, i wouldnt recommend. I've started to use it because it was free to makers and small companies, then it got hella expensive and i wouldn't suggest to even touch it.
Ease of use and UI is elegant to look at.
Software isnt yet to be finished. Coding itself is bad and people with coding background including myself thinks that this one software is built upon 2 different programming languages that contradict each other. It's clunky and tries to bring you errors instead of trying to understand what you're trying to do and forums are full of self-boasting fans and dwellers which only to bring you that it has...

It has been very enlightening and 'easy on the eyes'. Unlike the complexity of similar applications such as Inventor and Solidworks, it was easy for me to get used to the interface quicker. The app has also opened my eyes to the innovative possibilities that CAD software can offer. Overall, it has been an awesome experience.
The software is a gamechanger in the domain of collaboration. It has allowed me to work on projects with people from across the globe. Another thing that stands out is its user interface. Despite its rather simple interface that resembles that of Tinkercad, it offers almost the exact set of advantages that Autodesk Inventor offers.
So so many features are behind a pay wall. I got frustrated when I wanted to perform some functions such as simulations. If some of the features in the pay wall can be included into the free version, it would be magnificent. And even if they do remain behind the pay wall, they should at least become much more cheaper. Instead of breaking the glass ceiling, Autodesk is making it

I love fusion 360. I use it for all my 3D modeling designing techniques. I find myself wanting to use this more and more with each use. It's honestly the best i have found yet.
This application blows others like sketchup out of the water. It allows me to create a components so that i can create an entire object within the application rather than creating seperate components and trying to merge them all in a different project/file.
Fusion 360 can cost a little much if you can't take advantage of its student license.

I have been using Fusion for more than two years now, previously I have been using Solidworks but for hobbyist it is way to expensive
Ease of use and plenty of on line courses held by bunch of professionals. As a hobbyist I am using fusion to make models which later will be printed on 3D printer. For fast prototyping must have tool. Free for students and educators - hobbyists
I have no complaints regarding this software, it is stunning

The absolute most mind numbing software and customer service on the planet. Do yourself a favor and just spend the money for mastercam or esprit. I cant stress enough how annoying this software is to use everyday. They implement too many weekly changes to have any sort of consistency. You constantly need to adapt. Some features feel like a beta version.
Its cheap but that doesn't mean its worth your time.
you get what you pay for, which is a cloud based software that barley works, can't render more then 300 holes without lagging out, and annoying pop-ups that if you hover over anything, will block everything you need to see.

Overall, Fusion 360 is a powerful and versatile software that is great for 3D modeling and design. Its user-friendly interface, cloud-based accessibility, and strong community make it a great choice for both beginners and professionals.
One of the biggest pros of Fusion 360 is its intuitive and user-friendly interface. It's easy to navigate and learn, making it a great option for both beginners and professionals. The software also has a strong community of users who share tips and tutorials, which can be helpful for those just starting out.Another pro is that Fusion 360 is a cloud-based software, which means it can be accessed from anywhere and on any device. It also allows for easy collaboration with team members, as well as easy sharing of designs with clients or manufacturers.
In terms of cons, one drawback is that it can be quite resource-intensive, so it may not run smoothly on older or less powerful computers. Additionally, it can be a bit pricey for individual users, though there are options for education and startup pricing.

It is a very intuitive software that is cheaper than most of the alternatives and performs on par if not better than its competitors. It has a great cloud facility which makes collaborating possible.
it is not possible to replace parts within an assembly which makes it a hassle to reassemble it. Sometimes, the tools that we organize according to our liking defaults to their original places, which then requires us to manually rearrange the tools again.

I like this program as it offers many features that can also be seen in programs such as Solidworks. However, Fusion can be acquired for free while Solidworks can cost quite a bit of money. Fusion also has a builtin CAM software so it can generate G-Code straight from the model that can also be designed in the program. Fusion is primarily a CAD program specifically for 3D design and it does a great job at that as well, the models can be easily designed once you get the hang of the program and models can also be easily exported to STL files for 3D printing later.
The program has a mild learning curve as the main concept of it is to first, draw out a 2D sketch and then extrude that into a 3D model, and even though it is a great alternative to Solidworks should Solidworks be a bit too expensive. It lacks a few features that Solidworks does have. However, the program is quite easy to learn from online tutorials and general trial and error.

For me, this software is just too complex to serve my needs. I only need to use this software on occasion, so I don't think that I'm going to invest the time to learn the complexities of this program. It would be nice if they found a way to offer a limited set of tools in a "beginner mode" to get people going a little faster.
Fusion 360 is a full featured 3D modeling software that many people can access for free. It is an extremely powerful tool that can get almost anything done that a professional 3D modeler would need. This tool is part of the Autodesk software suite, so it is backed by a large company. That means that you can find tons of on-line forums and tutorials to get things figured out. Additionally, you don't need to be concerned about this software being discontinued or not supported in the near future.
While this software does offer all of the tools that you might need (and then some!), that comes with a cost. It is very difficult to get started as a newbie. I'm an experienced CAD software user and I still found it very difficult to use this software at first. If you really need all of the power and plan on using the software often, then it may be worth investing the time in learning this software, but if you are a casual user, you might want to look at other alternatives.

Fusion 360 is a very good tool to get 3d models done, the interface is easy to understand and straight forward, and you get great value for what the software costs.
The software is very easy and intuitive to use, and with the basic subscription you get all the features you need to create complex 3d models
I felt the options for the surfaces were quite basic. It is rather hard to control well the curvatures and tangencies.

Besides the software itself, a big plus is the vast amount of tutorials, short videos and help information in the various forums, especially Fuison's own forum.Workin with Fusion as a hobyist is great fun, and let's all hope that the free license for non-commercial use will remain!
Once I have internalized the principles of Fusion and 3D design in general, I could reach my goals relatively fast. I am no professional mechanical engineer, but I could orient myself towards everyday objects and leverage my creativity. Fusion is targeted at professional designers, but the well thought out user interface makes it easies for makers to use it for their DIY projects.
Using the mouse for rotation of the model is sometimes cumbersome, sometimes it's even hard to find the model in the 3D space. Of course, Fusion requires a fair amount of processing power and a good graphics card, although mine only cost around 100$.Finding the source and correcting errors is sometimes hard. Errors can lead to a situation where you can't modify parts of your model anymore.

With a little patience and the help of the huge online community and tutorials, I can design, test and prepare for production (cnc milling or 3d printing) any part or assembly of parts with precision and confidence. It hugely saves on development time and cost.
The integrated workflow that covers all the steps in product development, from prototyping to final production, is very powerful. I love how I can simulate force to preview material strain and resistance and have a precise idea of the performance of the final part even before I am done designing it.
It is very feature rich and powerful, which means it is complex and has a long learning curve

The entire Autodesk Fusion ecosystem enables work and collaboration on rapid prototyping (3D printing, low rate CNC milling and lathe work).
The available power managing model workflow by integrating it into the Fusion infrastructure is tremendous, and opens new doors for managing collaborative teams. The power elsewhere in the Fusion360 portfolio (easy enough for engineers as entry level users to pick up and start designing models for additive manufacturing and use for finite element work) remains accessible.
The ramp-up of contextual knowledge is pretty steep, and getting the most out of this is inherently challenging. The PLM software does a great job of its core function set, and the documentation is good, but the gulf between entry level users and really proficient workflow implementation is pretty massive.

Fusion 360 is very effective software for 3D projects. Additionally, saving and sharing projects with coworkers on the cloud is a big advantage.
Fusion 360 is one of first 3D software I ever used and it is so easy to use from day one. As a student, I used it free of charge and it was time to get used to the software to help of tutorials. What is unique in Fusion 36 it offers uploading, sharing and even editing files on the cloud. It is very useful for collaboration.
In my opinion Fusion 360 is quite expensive software and not very popular in industry. For beginners it may be confusing due to many function available.

Building my own 3D models for printing which can then be shared via online communities.
As a hobbyist who likes to "tinker" this software is extremely powerful and the discounted licensing makes it available. With the free hobbyist option I would not be able to justify the price for what I'm doing with it. It's also full featured with this license making it top quality and something I would recommend as a learning to industry platform.
I can be complex for beginners but thankfully there are many online resources and tutorials available to help with specific features and functionality.
