It is a hard work to integrate Onetrust with other systems and it is also difficult to perform tasks such as cookies scanning and the translations of the tenent is not automatic.

Using Onetrust has been a good experience. The technical support is ok.

We use it for GDPR and compliance related issues. The breach incidents can be logged on it. Risk management training and audits can be conducted via this. Tasks can be assigned to review for GDPR on it and can be tracked of its progress. Overall its very easy. If it had more features as per companies requirements, it would have been great.

Fantastic experience, I don't how we would have achieved ISO 27001 certification without Tugboat Logic. It certainly is making our organisation a lot more secure. If we were to manage ISO 27001 compliance without Tugboat it would cost us many hours and salaries, so it is also a money saver.

Binnen ons bedrijf gebruiken we niet alleen de cookiemanager, ook het doen van bijvoorbeeld DPIA's gebeurt vanuit OneTrust. Ik was altijd alleen maar bekend met de cookiemanager, maar het is een tool met veel mogelijkheden. Daarnaast reageert de support snel op vragen.

Leider habe ich keinen guten Eindruck von dieser Software oder dem Unternehmen. Alle Mitarbeiter sind stets bemüht aber wirklich vorankommen ist sehr müssig. Es ist teilweise buggy und Lösungsvorschläge kommen nicht immer vom Support sondern aus eigenen Reihen. Es wird auf den nächsten Sprint/Release vertröstet oder auf einen Kollegen verwiesen. Wir haben dieses Tool im Bereich Cookie Präferenz eingesetzt und sind ein Stück weit von One Trust abhängig um gesetzlich korrekt auftreten zu können. Dies ist nicht gewährleistet und ist meiner Meinung nach ein Unding!

Complicated, and not intuitive.

Sasha:                                                 My name is Sasha. I work with a medium-sized online publisher, InsideHook. I'm a senior gross manager responsible for data compliance and the data that we gather from audience as well. And I give OneTrust three stars our of five.
                                                       So as a company that gathers everything starting from cookie data, email addresses, first names from our readers, we need data compliance, data mapping, data management system. So we would need the privacy policy generator. We would need CCPA automated form to opt out, not let us sell the personal information of our readers if they don't want us to. We want to be compliant with GDPR regulations, so we need just the data management solution. We don't gather them much high sensitive information like credit cards or Social Security numbers, but we do gather email addresses, names, sometimes we do birthdays and just generally cookies to reflect on user activity on our website, maybe on other websites, maybe in the email and on the website. That's why we need all in data solution to help us comply with all the changing landscape, all the growing pressures and data privacy. We really like to measure data responsibly and to be compliant with all the new laws and all the new trends in data management. That's what we needed OneTrust for, that what it was introduced originally for.
                                                       Honestly, I thought that OneTrust is probably a tool for more big business and a dedicated team of data compliance people, data compliance team. It seems very thorough in a way. They do have a separate portal for onboarding and all the information how to turn on all the tools. So yeah, that's probably one advantage of OneTrust that I can cover.
                                                       So when I was giving a task to introduce an automated CCPA form, I tried to use OneTrust. However, I felt that it's very complicated, that it's not for a person who doesn't have a tech background and who's not experienced in data compliance and data mapping and privacy policy creations and stuff like that. I would say more my colleague who's generally an IT leader in our company was also kind of lost on how to exactly implement it. I contacted OneTrust support, I got on the call with them and explained that we don't have a dedicated team to understand the dashboard because of the complicated language, non-intuitive menu dashboard. I think the tools are there, it's just very difficult to understand how to use them and how to introduce them for a small business like us where we have to wear a lot of hats and we don't have a dedicated person who would introduce that for us.
                                                       So the support, the representatives of OneTrust just forwarded me this very profound portal with all the information, step-by-step guides. However, still it was complex. I had to generate a new account, a new password to get access to that information. It's just very complex and it's not for rookies. It's not even for medium tech background, I would say. So I found that very difficult to use and eventually we switched to another more intuitive data compliance vendor. We switched off OneTrust.
                                                       Another disadvantage is that the price is on the higher range, so we found that it's just not what we were looking for. Not a good fit for us. Maybe it's better for bigger companies, maybe it allows for more customized solutions for a bigger company that works with a lot of sensitive data. But for us, it was just wasn't the fit.

                                                       We did not switch from any other product. OneTrust is the first tool that we used and we identified that we needed a tool to manage our Cookie compliance. And OneTrust is the best in the industry that we found.
                                                       We chose to go with OneTrust because it's widely regarded as one of the industry leaders. It also has a lot of functions and features that we were looking for, such as Cookie List, Cookie Banner Templates and things such as this, that we really are taking advantage of on the site.
                                                       Getting started with OneTrust was incredibly easy. We thought it would take a little more legwork on our end. However, it really didn't, because everything functions within the cloud. And then once you're ready to put it onto your website, it's really only a small area of code that you insert.
                                                       Certainly a company looking at integrating OneTrust into their website, I would look at their current Cookie Consent model and what kind of things they're looking for in a Cookie Manager tool and whether OneTrust meet these needs.
