++Higher product quality ++Faster time to market ++A leaner, more efficient value chain ++Faster and easier compliance with industry regulations ++ Increased profitability for every product ++Better management insight into product-related processes throughout the value chain ++Better decisions based on accurate and comprehensive data
Products and requirements are growing more complex than ever. Oracle's Agile Product Lifecycle Management helps you innovate profitably, with the broadest and most comprehensive solution to efficiently centralize product data, streamline processes, and launch quality products faster. This product is suitable for product based organizations like Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Retail, Hitech Electronics,...
The product is good as of now. There is scope for improvement in user experience, customer service, dissemination of product knowledge with the help of webcasts, videos, elaborate product documentation etc.

It does have the ability to manage lots of files, but it's clunky and hard to use.
It has the capability to manage models and files and the power to keep track of tens or hundreds of thousands of files.
The interface is very unintuitive and confusing. It also has problems with 3D model files that are interrelated (that reference each other).

Audit Release function ensures if there are any major errors in the Change Order. 3. Custom search gives a very quick accurate result as well as lot of options are available to define custom search Logic and multiple searches can be saved under folders. 4. Can be easily integrated to many ERP tools and takes less time to reflect data under the ERP's in which it is integrated 5. Highly Customize-able as Lot of Customization options available for importing /Exporting Data and modifying data. 6. Can handle huge amount of data swiftly 7. Cost efficient 8. Availability of Java as well as web client
1. User interface is complicated and can be improved as takes time for getting used to it 2. Difficult to mass upload and delete files under affected items tab. also importing and Uploading files can be made faster 3. Validation and Importing in Change orders is slow and is difficult to manipulate 4. Custom search can be improved 5. Difficult to manipulate errors

You can define all the processes, workflows, business objects that you want, with notifications, privileges, usergroups and certified audit trails. You get enough rope to hang yourself and your business, so you'll better hire a PLM expert to handle this. Once it's set up, it can handle massive amounts of information and it's pretty stable (if you don't mess up the configuration).
The user interface is definitely not one of the most modern. Actually, it looks like it's from 2000s. Custom searches need you to know what you're doing, but that's probably due to the high customizability of the business objects. Working in customization and integration of Agile PLM with other custom solutions, I can say that you have to work up a sweat to get anything humanely acceptable out of...

We use it to manage the product information. This tool has improved quality and lowered the costs.
UI is really good, easy to use. Upload the data on the go with its mobile app Robust version control documentation feature.
Steep learning curve. It would take some time for sure to learn all the things. Everything else is really good.

Easy to document products and have a way of looking up a product history and quality issues in the past.
When scrolling, text boxes and drop down menus will keep their position on the screen and cover up information farther down on the page.

Product Management
I like how it allows you to manage your products while also giving a very friendly and forgiving interface
The actual product management interface is good, but it sometimes takes a long time to load and the formatting could be better

Make sure you map out your current processes and how you would like your new optimized process to look. If you're doing packaging specs, make sure you have someone knowledgeable setting up the new spec formats, BOM formats, etc. It's very easy to mess up. I have implemented a number of times at various companies and even fixed a botched implementation. Setting it up properly can save you and your team over 90% of your time in creating specs and BOMs. There are too many things to list here so make sure you get someone experienced to do it or help provide guidance. And don't forget to do user tests before implementation to make sure your new processes work as intended.
I like that you can streamline processes, require approvals, escalate approvals if someone isn't doing their part, and even reduce workload if you know how to setup the system for your group's workflow. I also like how you can click on hyperlinks to drive down into BOMs and parts and specifications just by clicking around.
Every screen looks the same as the next regardless of whether you're looking at specifications, Finished Goods, BOMs, etc. You need to know what you're doing. Gets boring and I need to get up occasionally or I will fall asleep.

Great for project management, and workflow processes. Basic design makes it easy to navigate.
The program can feel a little outdated and inferior at times. Sometimes glitchy, slow performance.

Oracle softwares are generally super reliable, Agile PLM is no exception. System has never crashed on me and handles large data sets well. You can export complex reports easily.
This is a upper-end PLM, which means high costs. Might not be the solution for most small sized companies, but definitely makes sense for large (10,000+ employees) companies.

We use PLM to maintain company-wide documents and standards that have to be reviewed and documented.
PLM is very powerful. We have so many documents that are drafted, reviewed, and stored in PLM without issues with the software slowing or facing crashes, etc. I like that people can create their own bookmarks.
The interface is a little outdated and not always user-friendly, even for simple tasks like opening/downloading documents. I was not on the team that set this up for our company, so that could also reflect our company's decisions. The search feature is also not super helpful.

It's amazing
Better teamwork with pair engineering and co-located teams Less documentation to restrict creativity Less time spent doing blind research Testing and feedback speeds learning Smaller, more rapid improvements.
More revisions and versions mean more data to manage Cost for changing procedures and tools Fewer contracts and specs could mean higher risk Communication and coordination is more complicated

Easy to find information needed quickly.
Like all Oracle products this software has so many different functions and features to use in order to help your business run smoothly.
The ease of use was not the easiest and quickest thing for me. I think if there were more training features on this software it would make it much easier to use. So many features and I have not been able to figure them all out yet.

In general, my experience with Agile has been satisfying, it’s a great collaborative tool that allows you to get the information that you need in a timely manner, which means that you are getting the most updated information, easy to use for everybody with a good level of details allowing you to have all your projects in one app.
My experience with Agile PLM is mainly on checking different documents related to different changes in products, specifications, quality requirements. In general, I think it's a great tool that allows you to get information easily and updated about the projects that people from other departments are working on. For instance, change development process, supply change requirement, regulatory process, labeling implementation and so on. As a collaborate tool seems to be really good and helpful to get all the team involved and updated on the different projects that can affect their jobs in a direct or indirect way.
In general looks good maybe they can improve the user interface to be a more friendly user, better layout, an alternative dashboard.

Using it to streamline the processes
I really like the way it integrates with the oracle erp. Also it is easy to use so makes the transition from legacy PLM systems to Agile easy.
It's slightly complex to begin with. Some navigation options are hard to follow for the user s and do not make sense logically.

Controls quality documents as part of a larger Quality Management system implementation. It does the job as expected.
Easy to use workflow tool. Allows for CFR 21 Part 11 compliant electronic signature of quality related documentd.
User interface can be a little clunky with several clicks to complete a task. This is just a minor annoyance.

Agile PLM has been the standard document control and PLM tool for most medical device companies I have dealt with. The variable work flows you can use in the system and the ability to configure it so suppliers and customers can access it makes it very powerful. Being able to establish a document system that includes your DHF and DMR (Device History File and Device Master Record) makes FDA audits very straightforward.
