PaperTracer is a cloud-based document management solution offered by Health Asset Management, Inc. (HAMi). The software helps businesses to streamline their document management process and automate workflows. The application is HIPAA compliant and can be customized to meet the requirements of different types of businesses.

PaperTracer allows business users to manage attachments, electronically sign documents, share files with both internal and external stakeholders, build reports, categorize documents, and create a centralized document repository. The software also provides capabilities to convert files into electronic forms that can be easily tracked and shared across the work floor to speed up document approvals.

PaperTracer helps businesses to automate and streamline the business process management lifecycle. The solution is equipped with advanced tools such as document scanning, database integration, text-based document search, and optical character recognition (OCR) to search content within documents. The tool also supports document versioning and history tracking. The customizable filters and interactive drag & drop interface enable users to search for files and export them into multiple formats. The solution offers provisions to define document approval workflows as well as grants different levels of access to users based on their roles.

There are two variants of the PaperTracer software - PaperTracer Express and PaperTracer Enterprise. PaperTracer Express is a standard workflow automation tool for SMBs offering pre-defined industry-specific templates and features like inbuilt OCR and electronic signatures. PaperTracer Enterprise is an extension to the basic offering and comes with additional features such as customized templates, simple and complex workflow definitions, and secure cloud enablement.

Overall we have had a positive experience with PaperTracer. We've been able to quickly adopt a new contract process that meets the contracting needs of our growing organization. The executive has been extremely helpful and quick to respond to all requests and questions regarding PaperTracer. The ability to use the software to assist in developing a new contracting process/workflow has been extremely valuable to our organization. We've been able to move our contract submission and approval process from paper to electronic via PaperTracer. While most of the functionality of PT is available right out of the box, we have been able to customize the software to some degree to better fit our organizations process and goals. The application has also provided a greater degree of transparency in the organization as users are now able to access their contracts in a central location as needed without having to contact the Legal Department.

Implementation was simple and quick. We converted data and it fit the system well. PaperTracer designed a custom process that we use to notify users/contract owners that it is time for them to perform an annual review of the contract. We are a healthcare facility and as part of our certification it is required that we review all contracts annually. What was developed in PaperTracer fits our needs perfectly. We also use the system to track and notify contract expirations. Our Compliance Officer asked us to develop something to track Business Associates Agreements. This was the first real change to the system we attempted to make on our own. We had a proof of concept set up in about 20 minutes. The system is easy to use, configurable and flexible. Support is customer focused and timely. Upgrades are easy since the vendor does them and they always are looking to improve the system.

PaperTracer is more logical than our old system/process. It is easier to find contracts and also control who has access to each contract. It also solved our issue with having to perform a review of every active contract once a year. The review process is very easy and quick.Implementation/Conversion from our old system was easy.
