ProntoForms Features In Depth

Signature, Picture & Barcode Capture

Using ProntoForms, field service workers can collect customer authorization signatures right on their mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. Customers are able to sign forms on the device to signal that they’ve received and approved the appropriate goods or services.

In addition to collecting signatures through ProntoForms, you can also add images to your forms for quality assurance purposes. Attach an image of the item that was repaired to the invoice, for example, for verification and auditing. You can also scan QR codes and barcodes with your mobile device and include those elements in your forms, as well.

Offline Form Functionality

Wi-Fi connections and mobile networks aren’t always available at remote locations, but the ProntoForms mobile app allows field teams to fill out forms offline with full functionality intact. This compares favorably to non-native, web-based forms that require continuous web access to function properly.

When you use ProntoForms to generate work orders, estimates, service reports, incident reports, and inspection forms, you can do so with or without an internet connection. Create and fill out your form using ProntoForm’s mobile app, select the recipient, and press “send”. ProntoForms will automatically send the form whenever your network is restored, which means you don’t have to go wandering around the job site looking for an internet connection in order send the forms you’ve filled out.

Dispatching

Driving back-and-forth between the office and the jobsite drains financial resources and wastes time for field service professionals. ProntoForms has a solution to this problem, providing an automated way for field users to dispatch forms as they’re signed, using an advanced web portal.

Dispatch forms, like work orders and invoices, from your office to the field with the ProntoForms Web Portal. Your field service workers will be able to fill in forms on the job site, and they can dispatch those forms back to your office instead of taking an extra trip back to the office between each appointment. Partially filled-in forms can be sent to individuals or groups. This saves valuable time in the field as the remote workers don’t have to fill out commonly used information over and over — like addresses, phone numbers etc.

External Data Sources

Businesses that use ProntoForm’s data connections option are able to embed their business data into their mobile forms. The ProntoForms REST API provides users with fully-customizable integration capabilities.

ProntoForms is able to provide your field team with access to data from your office in real-time. This data—which might include things like customer information (from a connected CRM), pricing, or parts numbers (SKUs)—can be imported directly into ProntoForm’s mobile forms.

Conversion to the new V2 version of each form, while very worthwhile, can be a bit cumbersome as you try to reinvent each process. V1 interface can be difficult to select the correct row to edit, but that problem will be going away soon as we shift everything to V2.

They were able to process invoices on the spot , obtaining the custmer approval signature and adding as many comments as necessary to alert inside office staff or customer management of a potential issue or condition.

Pros

On the development side- being able to customize an automated invoice to specific requirements of a type of customer that will still provide all requirements of the business side. On the Implementation side- ease of use. Minimal errors even though humanly driven.

Cons

Difficulty in accessing the actual raw data files after 45 days.

The ability to pre-load inspection data prior to performing inspection allows for users to spend less time inputting data that has no value to the inspection besides identifying it.

Cons

As far as I know, there is no ability to change colors or theme of a form. I would like the ability to store certain forms in folders on my device, rather than scrolling through a large list of forms that are available.

Now that prontoforms is easy to use and connected via mobile network, forms come in on time and in one format set from our form building team.

Pros

All forms come in the same format in almost real time. Very few errors now compared to the old methods and also easy to revise and resend when there is an error by user.

Cons

One of our few complaints is the freedom to update and change the form when there is a custom layout attached. The form is then locked which i understand if there are certain changes made it could make the output nonfunctional. There should be a layout builder we could use similar to the form builder. I mentioned this in a previous review and was sent a link to custom layout builder. Will be trying this out and update with my thoughts. Thank you for getting back to me promptly!

However, I really like the filtering options that Pronto offers on their web portal, and I can't filter data that's over 45 days old.

Pros

It's easy to use from the mobile end. It's easy to create forms, data destinations, new users, etc. on the administrative end.

Cons

I don't like that data cannot be stored on the pronto web portal.
