Pros

Lots of features and functionality; better than much of the market (but that's a low bar); fairly responsive support team and company management

Cons

Relatively immature product, product management and software development process with sub-optimal workflow and frequent bugs and inconsistencies

Lots of potential, but not quite there

2019-11-02

RS would be a better fit for a company that could use it as designed. Unfortunately, in order to get RS to operate as we need it to to, we have had to make up many complicated and time consuming procedures that offset much of the time savings afforded to those whose business models are more compatible w/ RS's design.

Pros

Relatively easy to use. Inventory management w/ price tiers is useful, but we havent actually used that feature yet.

Cons

Lacks fields that are visible to management, but not employees (for instance a place to put billing information for jobs that are based on a bid price rather than an hourly labor rate) Service items are not time stamped which makes them unhelpful for many types of reports.

Good field management, accounting side is good but needs refining

RazorSync has improved our scheduling, project tracking, job reporting and job specific invoicing. It has eliminated nearly all the paperwork for our jobs.

Pros

The field management and elimination of paperwork has been great.

Cons

The interface between RazorSync and Quickbooks is pretty good, but could use some refining particularly with deposits.

The ability to have a whole customer database, scheduling software, technician tracking, inventory etc database with one application

Cons

Occasional "bugs" like any program, however RazorSync is very quick to correct issues as they arise.

Razorsync is Awesome. Enough Said

I use it to track technician time sheets, daily route location, job to job GPS tracking, and I love the fact that you can add pictures of the before and after work of the jobs to each invoice and it makes a PDF that goes directly to the customer while we are still onsite shows the customers we are a professional company and will aways be ready to serve them whenever they need us.

Pros

Mobile app, GPS tracking, Time sheet tracking, Invoice Tracking, Inventory Tracking Great customer service.

Cons

No PO system yet.

The UI is user-friendly and easy to navigate.

Cons

There are many options for reporting but, for someone who bills outside of the system, it can be hard to gather the information necessary for billing without running multiple reports and tracking down information in various ways.

RazorSync is perfect for HVAC/Plumbing companies with 5-7 Field Reps

If you have around 7 users and a fairly standard work flow, this is the best solution out there. It is simple to use and its offline capabilities come in handy.

Pros

Scheduling, Dispatching, Invoicing and Customer Management is top notch in this solution.

Cons

The reporting and route optimization feature is pretty rudimentary.

Pros

The software makes organization easier, invoices are easy to keep track of, reports and documents are easily assessable .

Cons

Too many error reports and no way to clear the errors without having direct access or administrative access.

Mobil app is easy to use for techs out in the field, I love the was the schedule keeps track of all the jobs color coordinated

Cons

Reporting, invoices are very hard to print out for my daily report, you have to click too many times to find invoiced done, it would be really helpful to being able to find invoices quick

They also love the additional independence that comes with automatic status updates & notifications. On the business side, overall workflow improvements saves us an average of 20 hours per week!

Pros

Easy drag & drop scheduling/re-routing - electronic work orders branded with our company logo - automatic mobile invoicing & QuickBooks update - auto track of technician time, including travel time.

Cons

Route optimization features could be better.

It is lacking to some degree in import functions: I would like to use my own document to produce proposals as the razorsync proposal is a bit basic for my needs.

Pros

Tracking ongoing service through the service sheets with reporting has been a big plus.

Cons

I wish there was more flexibility with invoicing. Emailing invoices to multiple addresses for one.

Best Bang for Buck!

I run an energy auditing / inspection firm and I have tried dozens of other apps to help automate and track our workflow.

Pros

I'm not waiting on reports or taking an employee's word that their tasks are completed.

Cons

It works... it's just a bit clunky. UI- RazorSync does not appear nearly as polished as it's competitors.

While I haven’t completely on boarded our inventory yet we are excited about implementing that as well.

Pros

Fairly easy to get started but we did not import our existing records.

Cons

Sometimes we have issues syncing to QB online but that could be QB Some reports are confusing, for example, printing a customer list of only a certain type is customer has been difficult for us
