Pros

I am completely satisfied with how easy it was to get this new software set up with the help of the Realtrac Technical Support Team.
I like that this software has easy search functions, is user friendly, stores a variety of information, and has multiple report functions.
The experience has been very positive. As a small business we didn't have the personnel time to implement it as fast as we would have liked.

Pros

We are very happy with the system, and our customers like it as well, especially when we can tell them when they can get parts and what kind of lead times to expect.
The E2 Shop System fit our company perfectly with the three modules we needed (Manufacturing, Financial, Quality). E2 is not a multi layered system like some of the other systems we looked at.
We can't say enough about the outstanding support and customer service from the folks at Shoptech. They have always been an absolute pleasure to work with - extremely responsive and knowledgeable.

Cons

The reporting is very poor. The Realtrac team struggles to respond to customization/improvement requests.
Our company after having Realtrac installed and about 3 weeks to get our employees accumulated to the process. We were able to pay for the system in one month.
When we have an issue, we can't see what transactions took place prior to see where the problem occur to make our qty off or see any negative qty's.

Cons

Too many clicks and process and unprocess is a pain. E2 is significantly geared to a production environment - where we are a custom shop (Tool & Die).
The thing I dislike about E2 is orphans. Orphans are little glitches that are caused when something goes wrong.
After implementing E2 throughout our shop, we realized we were losing money on the most common part that we process. It was a total eye-opener.

E2 Shop System

E2 SHOP rose to the top of my list after a long research cycle into all the various ERP products

I looked at E2 SHOP, JobBOSS, Realtrac, Visual EstiTrack, and Fishbowl, plus have extensive working knowledge of Epicor.

Pros

Fresh interface, easy to navigate, easy to deploy. The support staff has been amazing, with tickets being responded to in near real time. The product is definitely a mature product, and all the small details one looks for in a job shop ERP system seem to be covered. Deployment phase has an engineer assigned to you, so you have a single call for implementation help. Training has the basics covered in videos you can watch at your leisure, and they also have in-depth classes on every aspect. This comes with the software maintenance (6 or 12 months included). Covers everything Epicor does, but at a much reduced price - and not as clunky.

Cons

Their web based product has a lot of delay, which was negated by using the on-premise system. Some things take multiple clicks to do, as compared to the previous version that have only one or two clicks for the same feature.
