Pros

The customer service I think is the best feature. They are pretty responsive and pretty friendly.
There are very few things in this world today that have given me more confidence rather than less. Shopventory is a miracle solution for us.
Their support team is fantastic and is more knowledgeable about other platforms like Square than the Square customer support teams. When dealing with integration issues).

Pros

User friendly design that is easy to learn and navigate, great for invoicing people as well as paying invoices, good organization of invoices and payments.
Quickbooks is the bread and butter of my business, it is the best accounting program I have used. I love that it continues to improve and allow more integration with apps and documentation programs.
The help on the team when getting this product was great, the features are honestly really great, I use it for payroll as well and it is really worth the cost.

Cons

There is a few basic things missing, like the possibility to write notes on a partially received PO, or if you make a mistake. In fact you can't write notes anywhere which is quite annoying.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars, they deserve the sky. We will 100% be purchasing a subscription and will not consider it to be wasted money at all.
We had two locations that were very hard to manage, one was an open air market where sales went very quickly and this software solved our problems instantly.

Cons

Submitting hours for the wrong week unintentionally can be frustrating because there is no way to reverse it without supervisor permissions.
The customer service is terrible. I usually get forwarded from person to person because I'm in the "wrong department," but I know it's because the person just doesn't know the answer.
No recourse through customer service. Data is held hostage as leverage for stopping cancellation of unauthorized charges, ie: sure you can cancel but we're not sure what will happen to your data.

I am very pleased with their product. I don't really have to worry too much about inventory management. They keep all the information organized and easy to access.

Pros

The customer support is fantastic. I like being able to send n instant message and getting a response within minutes. They have always either fixed my issue or provided me with clear and concise directions to fix it in my end.

Cons

I would prefer it to link directly to QuickBooks.

Shopventory & Clover - A great combination!

Shopventory has allowed us to stock more of what sells well, less of what doesn't, and not reorder dead product. Overall we have increased sales and decreased inventory. With several time consuming tasks now automated we are spending less on payroll maintaining the inventory.

Pros

Shopventory was good when it came out, and keeps getting better. They are always adding new features and reports without having to upgrade. In the beginning I was concerned that an "App" would not be able to handle our inventory in real time. After several years I can say that it easily handles thousands of titles of sheet music, and emails me daily titles needing to be reordered. We have since moved all the inventory from QuickBooks to Shopventory. Noteworthy today - they have GREAT customer service!

Cons

There really are no Cons! It works, and it's uptime is very close to 100%.

The Multi-Tool of Inventory Management!!!

Super solid experience, while there has been some learning and need to reach out to support from time to time the user experience, the functionality, accuracy and ability to track modify and cycle count inventory is top tier. I've used Square Retail, QuickBooks POS, LightSpeed and a few other smaller programs that boast inventory management. They all pale in comparison... and if you want Brick and Mortar (I'm using Square and WooCommerce) Shopventory can manage it all whether I want stand alone inventory or pooled inventory it has me covered! Love it!

Pros

Shopventory first and foremost is unbelievably user friendly. From day one it is easy to setup, maintain and even if you are unsure of anything on the platform, knowledgeable support and guidance are a click away... yes even during a pandemic!

Cons

The only thing I can think of is the addition of managing serial numbers, but that really speaks to maybe 2-3 products for me so while nice to have. I wouldnt sacrifice the ease of use or multi platform functionality of Shopventory for being able to use SN# with a far more confusing and less robust competitor.

Pretty Good Product with Great Customer Service

Pros

I needed something to help me track my inventory better that also integrated with my Square POS and Shopventory did the trick. It was kind of difficult to set up but the customer support was amazing and they helped me every step of the way. I probably took at least 2+ hours of their time just to help me set up a free trial account. The main reason I signed up for it was to get functionality that wasn't present in square such as setting COGS. Overall I am happy but hope to see some feature improvements in the future.

Cons

A few drawbacks which make Shopventory difficult to use: No mobile app. This is a pretty painful pill to swallow to be honest. As a small business owner, often times I can only go shopping for ingredients when I have some spare time. Having the ability to check stock levels in real on my phone while i'm shopping would be a huge win. Currently, I try to login to their website on my phone but it isn't...

Small businesses thrive by using Quickbooks. It is high functioning and easy to use.

Pros

I prepare the books for an Aluminum contractor and Quickbooks allows me to pay employees, sub-contractors and vendors in an accurate and timely fashion.

Cons

It still needs some upgrades but customer service demonstrates their commitment to quality by sharing customer upgrades with the software designers to improve user experience.

Great solution for simple needs. It did not work for us as a real-estate company.

Pros

Very flexible and easy to use. Answering basic questions is quick and easy. Reporting is intuitive and simple.

Cons

Quickbooks advertises the ability to set up your balance sheet and income statement by proprerty (by QB class). However, although transactions can impact the income statement by property, they cannot impact the balance sheet by property. To maintain a balance sheet by property, you must reclassify all transactions that impact more than one property.

The software is good for an under-$10M firm with multiple users. It can work for Payroll and HR as well, if you want it to.

good, accurate data for reporting purposes.

Pros

The ease of making entries including invoices, bills, checks and deposits. Many choices for reports by date, by account, by month-end, etc.

Cons

The search function for customers or vendors is not particularly user friendly. Easy to make one small mistake and then think you need to enter a new customer or vendor.

Nothing can replace a trusted accountant

After cost benefit analysis it is in my experience always better to have your taxes prepared by a licensed CPA

Pros

It was fairly easy to use and much more cost effective than hiring an accountant.

Cons

The return generated by the software didn’t come close to the return I received when filed by a CPA.

Uncomplicated software

Quickbooks is easy to navigate for me as I am not tech savvy. I feel comfortable using this software. I used 2 other softwares that were a bit challenging to navigate.

Pros

Ease of creating sales documents (invoices, sales receipts, credit notes)

Cons

Not being able to print statements by sales person. Has to go through a long list to select customers by sales person

I use quickbooks to run my non-profit. It is helpful for our accounting firm to track our expenses.

Pros

For me it is user friendly. I can print checks, add entries, track expenses and manage contract payments.

Cons

Backing up the data so it can be sent and reconciled by my accountant. This was set up by my accountant, so it may be problem with their procedure. I also do not use most of the tools offered by QB.

We like all the reports that are available.

Pros

The ease of use is great. I really like how it is used by so many and when I am unsure of a process, I can just go online and get help. Most of the time you can can a video you can watch. This is very helpful to me because I am a visual learner.

Cons

I really would like to be able to look up customers by address or phone number not just by last name or job number.

Quickbooks is very easy to use;. Its functions are quite intuitive and flexible. The online tutorials are great for anyone with little accounting experience.

Cons

Sometimes, customizing reports to look the way you desire is challenging. For example, wanting categories subtotaled by year, then by account can be difficult.

Being able to manage and grow a small business

Pros

Functionality, integrations with other apps and over ease of use. The overall accounting and purchasing part of QB is perfect for a small business.

Cons

I wish the reports had a few more options like a more advanced breakdown for Sales by Rep. Sales per day by Rep etc.

Since the Desktop software has this report already, I have just the workaround you need to recreate it in Online. You can add custom fields to your invoices, which could detail which sales rep is associated to which invoice (https://community.intuit.com/articles/1145884). It has step by step instructions, that take you by the hand and walk you through every process.

Cons

Customer support is lacking. They are difficult to reach and when you do get someone they are a little hard to follow when explaining how to do things.

Quickbooks is a very intensive piece of software that can perform many functions and provide a pretty good snapshot of the financials, inventories and sales of your company's business. Despite some major data gathering and reporting failures, he software consistently delivers what our company needs to run our business

Pros

Quickbooks us clean and has a lot of functionality. There are also several ways to perform the same task or gather the same information. I enjoy the fact that in the version I use I can integrate backend manufacturing and raw goods inventory with finished inventory and sales.

Cons

Despite all QuickBooks can do the fact that I cannot get a sales by state report by customer or product, generated easily and quickly by the program is a massive failure. Everyone I know that uses the software says the same thing.

Provide a full featured accounting package which is easily implemented on client sites.

Pros

QuickBooks has been dependable at multiple client sites where I've deployed it over the years. It is full featured, very customizable, and has been quite easy for office staffs to get a handle on.

Cons

In a networked environment, QuickBooks can be prone to occasional communication glitches. Gratefully this is offset by generally quite excellent technical support provided by Intuit.

Quicker than by hand calculations

Pros

The fact that I can learn it myself or use the tutorial or contact them for assistance. They get right back to you when you request assistance.

Cons

Some screens were slow to change from one screen to another screen. I would think that this software could be coded to allow for more customization by the user. Ceratin favorite formulas and screens.

I have to use it. I don't want to use it. It's not a particularly inspiring tool.

Pros

It's a necessary evil if you're a person who doesn't always like to review your finances (you should though) as this is robust and get's it done.

Cons

It's clear this wasn't built by a super visual person. It's a little clunky to use and sometimes I'm limited by how I categorize line items.

Ease of use.

Pros

I like that it is user friendly, but yet it can be used by even tweeked to be used by professionals.

Cons

I don't like the fact that I have to update it every few years. I have a lot of companies that I work for, and they have no payroll, so the program is very functional.
