We scan a large number of documents into our system daily and need to search them pretty quickly after they are loaded. This system allows us to do that with minimal processing time and returns reliable results.
Once you get use to the process of building workflows to process documents it is easy but the learning curve can be intense at times. But with support it isn't too bad.

The benefits I received are organization for scanning documents into SmartSearch and easy to search for the documents. It is very user friendly. Great for document management.
Easy to learn and use. Easy to become familiar with and very organized. It is user friendly. Allows capability for adjustments.
Many features I am not too familiar with, but have not been in a situation when I needed to use them.

Ability to have a central repository that is version controlled for users to manage documents.
Easy to use. Versioning ability. It is easy to import and export documents. I like that up to 1000 documents can be loaded at one time. Seems to run at the expected speed. Flexible metadata fields.
Security is cumbersome to setup. Not able to handle multiple domains in one version. The preview window should support more file types. In line editor sometimes does not Save the changes you make even though you did save them.

Its User Interface for validation users is so simple and minimum that validation users can't mess up.
Support. I've yet to get through to someone on the phone after over a dozen tickets opened, always a voice mail and email, then waiting hours for response. My installation team, a reseller and it did not go well. I don't believe this was ever set up correctly to begin with and now it's a mess to try to figure out what went wrong. 5 months in and we still don't get 80% out of the product.

Overall ok, a little complicated but ok.
It is easy to use and allows for all our staff to have one location to gather our documents.
The set up, it took a lot of time to work through identifying everything that was needed and getting everyone on the same page.

any time we have an issue, they are very quick to get back to me and schedule a meeting to bring up a solution
It has saved us a lot of time with document imaging, we scan close to 300 documents daily so OCR has been a great tool for reading the documents.
sometimes it doesn't read quite well the documents or the separator marks miss something - at the same time, our documents are sometimes ripped or have writing on the text.

GlobalSearch has allowed my org to automate paper processes and go paperless with ease. Also works great with GlobalForms.
You can not secure done to the document when it comes to who can see certain documents. Like to keep things under one archive but control who can see what.

How global forms work is a little tricky. Workflows and such are kind of hard as when we were sold the software, they didn't state this portion of it.

I like it's accuracy compared to other OCR solutions I have used. It allows me to zone in on problem areas and configure them to find the data I'm looking for as best as possible.
I don't like how once something is in the queue, I can't move it up or down in the batch manager. This is a problem for me when I'm processing a large batch of files and need to test a new workflow or process a priority document.

Concept is great and you can customize everything yourself. Global Search looks good but Smart Search needs improvement. Customer service is great though!
Both Smart Search and Global Search are lagging and we've only been "on-line" for a few months. I'm concerned about how much slower the software will be as we add more and more invoices into the system.

i love the key free technology. the ability to alphabetize the ability to make the screen pull up how many ever documents to fit our needs
when indexing we have to type alot of the same information in time and time again, it will not carry the previous info over to the next record for us to review and use.

Ease of use. Ease of set-up. Workflow design and functionality, especially email importing and barcode recognition. Both allow almost fully automated indexing functionality.
When needed, technical support is difficult to reach when fast responses are needed to keep important business functions running that are depending on the software.

It is largely positive. The app's robust document management features, customisable metadata, and advanced search options have significantly improved my document organisation and retrieval processes.
It has an intuitive interface that makes it easy to navigate and use, even for those new to document management systems. I can quickly locate and access the tools I need. The ability to create and customise metadata fields for documents is a standout feature. This ensures that the documents are tagged with relevant information, making searching and sorting a breeze.
Mobile features are less than what we get on laptop.

need better resellers and need to test them to make sure they are doing a good job selling, supporting and actually know how to use it with out having to call every question in to your office and we have to wait days to get answers. We use this company for other things but this has really made us loose faith in them. Poor service.

Ease of management compared to the old document management system. Have also received positive feedback from users.
Management of permissions is a snap with the SmartSearch client. Management is performed through the same client. Global forms has also may it easy for users to submit data while out of the office.
Managing the product in the web client is a little clunky. However, we are still getting use to the management via web browser.

Cleaned out the file room and easy to manage documents
Once it is setup it runs well. Easy to train users on. Flexible with document workflows and inbox tools
Upgrades can be difficult as the client ans server need to be updated together and the client update need admin rights.
