It was so easy to have our summer staff sign in, take their temperatures, and sign off on the COVID waiver form. I loved having The Receptionist! I want to incorporate signing the campers in next year.
The Receptionist is so easy to use and set up. Changes are just as easy and are reflected immediately!
I don't believe there was anything I didn't like about the software. We had some glitches this summer with the week-long staff somehow getting signed out before they checked out; but I switched a setting so hopefully, this won't happen next year.

Capture all visitors; prevents use of traditional sign-in sheet
There is a LONG lag time between questions, and it makes it difficult to register a heavy flow of traffic (job fairs, trainings, workshops). The software causes a crowd at the sign-in stand - thus creating a longer window to start events

I use the receptionist app in my therapy clinic. The clients check in and the therapist receives an email and text when their client arrives, allowing them to continue working at their desk rather than checking to see if the client has arrived yet. The app easily allows my therapists to sign in and out each day. The customer support has been great. I use the app in some unconventional manners and Jessica and her team are always there and available to see if we can make it work. I plan to open two new offices in the coming weeks and The Receptionist App will be displayed prominently in both locations, what better recommendation can I give. It's great at replacing a paper sign-in sheet allowing us to keep track of who is in the building and maintaining a history.
Setup and configuration is easy. The interface is professional and polished. Also, it is entirely cloud based!
With easy comes limitations. Some areas I would like to customize but can't. Also it's multi language support is limited. (That feature is in beta so hopefully it will be improved)

This has been an amazing tool for our office. We were just using paper sign-in sheets prior to this.
That it tracks the exact date and time the client reports to our office.
We sometimes have to reboot it to get certain sign-ins to work.

Helps to not have to have someone physically sign people in, eliminates paperwork, makes it easier for audits.
Takes to much time waiting to "notify contact" and print label. Takes over a minute to notify contact and then another to print badge. Doesn't sound like much time but when you have 3-4 people in line to check in, it is. Maybe be able to move to next person while the rest is happening.

i am pretty tech/app deficient and thanks for the great support from Ben on many countless times i had to call him, i was able to get the app up and running and our tenants are pleased. it looks clean and non cluttered compared to the old paper sign in log. Ben and his tech team were able to work on a couple of bugs for me and i am satisfied. i had originally gone with another app and actually paid for it but there was absolutely no phone or chat support. i emailed them and in a day or two or three they would respond....not good

Overall experience has been great! I look forward to seeing more changes and options with this.
It is easy to use. It has a clean sleek appearance.
I would like for it to connect or for us to include information about our clients so caregivers can verify accuracy, report changes, etc. I would like to see a way this can be used for client sign in/out instead of staff clock in/out. Would like to ensure security features are in place for when we are using for families to sign in and out. There is so many other areas this could be used in.

Very good. Staff is accessible and helpful to accommodate our needs.
We run an indoor sports facility. Everyone that comes in must check in to sign the waiver and release forms. Its is customizable and updated online right away. Perfect for what we need.
I don't like how its required to start with your email address. Requested a name or phone number as identification.

Sign-in is fast and easy, and it even remembers people who have signed in before. Buttons are customizable with cute little icons. The design is sleek and it's overall very easy to use.
I have yet to find a "back" button that allows the visitor to return to the previous screen if they've accidentally entered something incorrectly.

Ease of use and implementation. Very intuitive, best by far of the competition. Great at making the sign in process smooth for guests. Everything works as it should.

It's slick, and it looks professional up front. Customers are kind of impressed, which is nice.
We use The Receptionist to allow visitors to sign in (and print visitor badges) on an iPad. It works really well, and notifies our users by SMS and email when they have a guest who has signed in.
Would really like to see it integrate with UPS, FedEx, and USPS tracking for package arrivals/notifications. This would make it much more useful to us. We're still doing packages on a paper log.

Really like our implementation. It fits our needs well. The follow up customer service is exceptional.
Liked the ability to track and meet compliance of visitors. Ability to sign a visitor compliance document was a must.
Would like a few more design and font options to match our brand. Maybe a background slide show which can be changed as well as a video plays at end of sign in.

Before choosing iPad Receptionist we tried 3 other major Visitor Management software systems. We downloaded their free trials (typically 30 day) and purchased some equipment (ipad & badge printer) to have real world experience with all of them. Out of all of them, iPad Receptionist was by far the easiest to set up for the administrator of the system. The visitor sign in/sign out and host notification processes are both intuitive and reliable.
None of the other systems tested came close to being competitive in regard to cost and customer service. Another feature we like is the system is regularly being updated with improvements and more options. The people that we have spoken with and emailed at the company give us a real feeling that they care about your needs as a customer.
The only issue we have had has been that our badge printer is networked and for some reason it occasionally goes to Wifi mode and badges will not print, but the system still notifies the host.

Ease of not having to be glued to my seat, ensures things run smoothly and in a timely manner, and good for security purposes.
I like that everyone gets to choose how they are contacted. I also like how easy it is to adjust and make changes.
I wish you could more easily integrate other platforms for marketing purposes. (link to sign up for our newsletter)

it is easy to use and makes for a more efficient sign in process. if there is a problem the support staff is quick to respond and help find an solution to whatever your issue is.
I have no serious cons to list. the only slight complaint I would have would be the limited ability to design and customize fonts for the home page.

It works but with some annoyances. It will get the job done for now.
The software allowed me to digitally address two issues we were addressing physically before. We are able to simplify the student sign-in process and we are able to keep a record of drop-off / pick-up times for our clients.
We are utilizing the system to display when students are being dropped off and picked up by parents. We have found a work around solution for what we need to accomplish but it would be nice if you could create a streamlined solution that doesn't require us to use a browser plugin. Our current solution requires us to shutdown and restart the system almost every day.

Can't speak highly enough. Very user friendly especially to visitors who enter the building.
It was a great product before with the ease of setup and use, but with COVID-19 it is invaluable. We use it in case of contact tracing and with the ability to have no touch sign in/out it has helped reduce the fear of someone contracting COVID-19.
There is nothing we don't like about this product.

Receptionist for iPad is great for small businesses and large businesses alike, it provides the opportunity for customers to come in and sign in and be recognized even if the environment is extremely busy. The organization of the clients information, the ability to pre-enter information concerning clients, is advantageous whether you are signing in at the spa or the doctors office.
It can be frustrating if information is not entered correctly in precisely as the software dependence and operates based on information input.

As a means to gather a security agreement, it definitely does its job. On top of that, getting the updated notifications helps.
I think the best part is the notification aspect of the software is pretty convenient. As opposed to just notifications by email, you are able to sync with Slack and have a bot also notify you, which can ensure the host receives the sign in.
I keep having issues with the badge printer accompanying it. Sometimes the software will print the badge of the guest before the one who is currently signing in. If it prints at all, if not it will have issues.

In our old office we had a wall based card system for in/out and a visitors book. The SigninApp system is much easier to use, accounts for visitors and offsite based staff simply and in the event of a building evacuation the companion app means all fire wardens have instant visibility of who was logged in without the need to look through a wallboard that has been carried out of the building or an unwieldy visitors book. the ability to print a personalized and legible badge for visitors is very professional and many of our visitors have commented on how well it works and asked for details that we've been happy to pass on. The recent addition of the TapApp has been a major improvement for us, our staff much prefer being able to use their door fob to simply sign in and sign-out.
The ease of setting it up. within receipt of the kit we had this up and running inside of 30 mins. It does exactly what it says is does on the tin. No hoops to jump through and out staff took to it with ease and preferred it to our old card in/out system and visitors book.
the pairing of the Bluetooth printer, but that's more to do with the iPad than the software
