Pros

The best thing about this software is the customer support. It is superior and love the personal touch and that you are actually talking to someone live.
The check in process is super important because that's like a first impression, so I love how we can customize it to certain visitors.
Super easy to setup and more cost-effective than the competitors. We tried Envoy and iVisitor and this is a better product.

Pros

This product is super easy to use, very user friendly. The majority of our visitors who come to see us love this product and have asked where they can get this to implement at their offices.
Also, their customer support is fantastic. They are open to suggestions and it is obvious that they want to produce a quality product.
Although there is a lot of competition out there we found this to be best value for money with all the features we required. The support is also extremely good and always respond promptly.

Cons

Our staff is now immediately notified with a delivery is made or a client presents for a session. No more checking the lobby a dozen times.
It does not stick well to most fabrics to usually within a few mins the name tag is lost somewhere.
The only problems we've had, is when there is an apple update, the iPad is not compatible with the iPad Receptionist app. I have to continually delete and re-download the program and printer.

Cons

And it seems I have constantly put in a different code because it will kick me out. This makes it very inconvenient for other when I am not in the office.
We use the software primarily to know who is in the office, especially when we have fire drills or emergency situations.
The fact that you have to pay extra for the delivery feature.

Works really well

The electronic visitor login gives us much better advisability than our old paper log sheets. We also have multiple buildings within a mile of each other. Checking the signins was really cumbersome. Although the system appears to be designed to aid a receptionist. In our unattended setup, we get caught off guard when there are issues with updates, both application and iPad updates. Improving the design for unattended locations would be a big plus.

Pros

The ease of use and ability to add multiple administrators. Our setups are in an unattended reception area, most of the time it works really well. Printing the visitor badges is really great to help everyone recognize who is a visitor.

Cons

The only notification for updates is displayed on the iPad or when logged into the website. In our configuration, we don't check the iPad regularly and don't find out there is an issue until a visitor shows up. I think it would be great if the admins on the account were notified by email when updates are available.

Quick to Set up, Quick to sign in

We wanted to get rid of our paper sign in book and replace it with a simple digital experience. SwipedOn provided great assistance getting it all set up, and also answering our initial questions when comparing solutions.

Pros

Good customer service to help you set it up initially. After that, it basically runs itself. Before we selected SwipedOn, we looked at several different sign in apps. SwipedOn was the clear winner for us: - Simplicity - All the features we need, none that we don't need - Inexpensive - Intuitive for users - All you need is the name of the person you are visiting, very easy - web interface available...

Cons

SwipedOn is only for companies that want a "no frills" experience. If you require thousands of features, look elsewhere (for instance, there is no integration with Active Directory). Currently only works on an ipad. However, this is not a big deal. We bought an ipad lock stand to keep the ipad secure. We also can lock down the ipad into Guided Access Mode. This prevents visitors from accessing anything besides SwipedOn on the ipad.

It has been a good experience. Even with the time differences between the US and New Zealand, help and support was always polite and prompt.

Pros

I like the ability to keep track of and manage visitors to the office. The photo ability allows you to identify visitors who may have come in when you were not in the office yet.

Cons

The reversed image issue with the ipad and software.

Great looking system, awesome support!

We've been using SwipedOn for over 6 months and have had a great experience from the time we very first implemented it. We were up and running quickly and the team has been helpful with any questions we had along the way (thanks Megan - superstar!). Visitors love the ease of use and often comment positively. Is a great step up from our older Visitor Book.

Pros

Easy to implement, looks great and just works!

Cons

It's iPad only as we initially had older Androids available for use. No biggie.

SwipedOn Visitor Book has been a great hassle free win for our organisation. Gone are the days of manually inputting visitors through a paperbased process. The slick but simple sign in process allows visitors to come into the organisation and sign in with or without interaction with Customer service staff, reducing waiting times for visitors. Any Issues are dealt with quickly and personally by SwipedOn who, we have found extremely personable and helpful in dealing with any small issues, queries or requests.

Pros

Designed beautifully, easy to use, fully customisable, centrally managed, fantastic customer support. Low cost but high quality.

Cons

Drains Ipad battery life quickly.

SwipedOn is a slick piece of software that gives a great first impression to visitors to our Head Office. We are a not-for-profit organisation so we need to spend our money wisely. SwipedOn enables us to do this without having to compromise on quality.

Pros

The ability to do away with all the paperwork required when welcoming a visitor on site.

Cons

The initial cost of buying an iPad and stand.

Easy, Professional, Exceptional Customer Service

Pros

It is easy to use. The software is great for marketing, branding and customization. Badges print automatically. And because the software notifies the host of their guest, the receptionist is free'd up to engage the guest - relationships are very important and it starts with the first person they see.

Cons

I wish we could have different settings for different iPads in the same location. Aside from that, which I hope is getting worked on, I have ZERO complaints.

The ipad system for signing in works a treat so we know who is on site at any one time. Good for fire alarm drills.

Cons

Pity you could not just have camera recognition therefore doing away with touch.

Pros

SwipedOn has made our company look really professional! Clients & visitors appreciate the ease of signing in, and the notification emails are excellent! They allow for more client interaction with the receptionist while the person they are here to see is on their way to join the visitor in the lobby.

Cons

We are looking to another sheet - not an NDA - for signing purposes, which is not yet available. We look forward to being able to use this application for multiple purposes in our studio.

Ease of use and price. It works on older hardware so we could use an old iPad for SwipedOn

Cons

The fact that the price jumped when you get to 50 users (we have 53 people here). Also it would be good to have more control over the visitor signature notification area. For instance it would be good to be able to put the signature area at the top of the page rather than at the bottom.

We looked around and did a few free trials, and SwipedOn was definitely the best value for money. Their app is clean and our visitors love to use it! Plus our receptionist loves that she has access to the dashboard to see who is in the building, and no longer has to manually build reports for management.

Removed our manual methods and smartened up our reception. Easy and quick to use.

Pros

Easy to use. Looks good. Intuitive. Multi site availability. Competitive price. Good, quick support network.

Cons

The visitor badge label printing is hit and miss. Ipad only. If devoloped for any Android tablet this could be resolved as they are for flexible in terms of allowing wired connectivity.

Great product. It nailed our objectives

Wanted photos of who is entering the building and wanted a timeline established. Wanted to take off pressure from the receptionist to find the employee being visited. Wanted to present a more high-tech appearance in the lobby to clients. Wanted to have an emergency evacuation list.

Pros

Ease of setup is great. Setting up printer and iPads was very easy. Entering new employees is easy. It's not complicated (a rare feat sometimes) to use and is structured very well. The ability to upload employee information was very helpful. Very intuitive- one of the best written and best working apps I've ever seen. It's solid. I tested about 12 of these systems, and this is by far the best out there for the money.

Cons

The dashboard can be a little confusing. Maybe move the Status of Signed In to a top level tab, so you only have to click once to see who's Signed In. Maybe add ability to blur the background on the photo capture. Better integration with Active Directory might be helpful for larger organizations.

Signing in with Swiped On

As a company we are really happy with Swiped On has mentioned above it is easy to use. Great for ensuring who is the building at any given time. You also have the knowledge that if there are any issues you can call/ e-mail someone at Swiped On and your query is dealt with quickly.

Pros

We like the fact that the software is easy to use. Employees and visitors can sign in and out using an ipad. This can be easily checked to see who is in the building from my computer. In the event of a fire, the ipad can be easily disconnected from the stand and used as a role call to ensure that everyone is safely out of the building.

Cons

In the 2 years that I personally have been using this system I have not encountered any issues

A trendy reception desk and less waiting time. Also less manual intervention of the receptionnist with the SMS & Mail notification.

Pros

User notifications (mail & SMS), the dashboard to manage several sites, beautiful design & user interface. Nice possibilities to customize the layout of the app on ipad. Customer Service really solution oriented.

Cons

No AD synchronisation yet. No possibility to sort the employees by family names.

Pros

We regularly have visitors ask about SwipedOn and where they can get it, it definitely portrays a positive image to visitors, especially those visiting for the first time. It is very user friendly. It allows our receptionist to easily pre-register visitors or they can sign-in when they arrive. Having a mandatory visitor procedures that they need to read and sign is helpful for ensuring they are complying with our safety rules.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to record the serial number of a security prox card given to contractors and technicians when they come in to service our equipment.

A Transformed & Streamlined Reception

It has streamlined out employee and visitor tracking process giving more transparency and accountability.

Pros

It allows us to track employee attendance for both performance and health & safety purposes. Previously we didn't have an accurate register of employee attendance so this has streamlined that process for us. We also love the visitor tracking and the way it emails the employee being visited. Recording the signed disclosure is also very helpful.

Cons

It only works on the iOS platform meant we had to purchase an iPad to enable us to use the app as we only use Windows or Android devices.

Have generally been really happy with the product. It is easy to use and represents good value for money. Was disappointed that we were not able to view an iPad Stand. It makes sense to be able to purchase these through SwipedOn and not an external provider.
