Pros

Simple but powerfull, great customer service and fast support , great and useful intelligence features. The B2B platform works great and customers appreciate that too.
It's very simple to use which is great for us as we need our stores to access this website. Photos with descriptions are great and the pricing is very competitive so that's a plus for us.
We have not had any issues with this software, and it has been easy for our team to implement. Within the landscape of other competitors, it's a great option.

Pros

Contains the vast majority of required features to operate a successful e-commerce store. Nice layout, not too bulky, and sticks to what its good at.
The ability to customize reports in word is amazing. The team at Dear are still updating and improving the system.
DEAR is a fantastic system which will manage the inventory and sales/purchase process for various channels.

Cons

As is typical NO TRAINING is provided on CARtROVER, and there is no knowledge base in the Gecko system. Bonus, ther support will tell you that they are not able to support cart rover problems.
In a nutshell, we didn't get the advice we needed at the initial set-up time which in the end messed up our inventory and made our problem bigger over time.
Only if we knew that at the very first stage we could have avoid so much trouble.

Cons

Over the past 6 months this has gone from bad to worse. The odd hang, became frequent hangs, then time outs on the server.
Frustrating, unsatisfying and I have real worries about the ability for the software to keep up with my business as it grows.
Often times I do run in to a problem, either I entered something wrong and can't fix it, or I need a bulk operation done and need support.

Pros

Using Tradegecko is very easy and straightforward. Great system to use for monitoring stock in all manner and forms with invoicing and delivery options easy to use. Awesome product.

Cons

The interface has a very easy to understand design and it is easier to buy and select items and quantities. Search box was a plus!

It was quite limited on putting multiple categories to products so I get lost looking for an item because it can only belong to one category

Tradegecko has a lot of serious control issues and should not be used by companies with hundreds or thousands of different variants. We have not be able to rely on the accuracy and completeness of the reporting and therefore can not rely on it for control purposes at all. Also, the reporting capabilities are very minimal. You can only run a small handful of canned reports. Also, unless you are subscribed...

Pros

This product is much cheaper than most inventory systems so it is better than tracking inevntory in excel.

Cons

Reporting, inventory management, ERP system integration, accuracy and completeness, not intuitive, not organized.

TradeGecko currently has a Business plan at $169/mth and Business Premium plan at $349/mth, which provides phone support and provides advanced user rights management. We're also working on providing more reports to users, so do look out for that. Regarding integrating with larger ERPs / Accounting platforms, as we scale I'm sure we will work with larger partners, but as a growing startup we try to prioritize our efforts to work on the most impactful integrations, at this stage QBO and Xero are two fantastic cloud solution we support, we know they're not for everyone and we hope they cover 90% of what our customers need, Once again, thanks for taking the time to review TradeGecko.

Very basic software, terrible support not worth the price.

Do your homework, other inventory management systems offer much better features and functionality for same or similar price.

Pros

Im honestly having trouble finding a pro. Its cloud based? Yes but most offer this anyway. It does have reasonable integration with Xero(limited sync options), but most offer the anyway.

Cons

The actual software is very basic compared to what else is out there on the market. For example, you can only create purchase orders and associated landed costs in a single currency. So if you're an importer, and you buy from suppliers in another currency, there is no option for different currencies(which is likely f you import goods) for landed costs i.e. GST, Duty etc. So this means there is an overly complex and manual process required. There is also no drop shipping. You cant go back and edit invoices once created. You can only delete and redo. The support is literally THE WORST support I've encountered. Its basically email support with a cpl hrs of onboarding. All this would be fine if the software was sold properly for the price, its just not worth it.

Good for simple use, but still a Beta product, poor customer support

I own and operate three ecommerce businesses, and I started a fourth which focused on high volume low cost units, so the unlimited unit aspect of TradeGecko was great. But you can't add different options for products on the front end, and how many ecommerce owners have products which have various option attributes? :) Once I inquired to the customer support team about this obvious omission (not a conscious design decision) they said for lack of a better term "Sorry, looks like this isn't for you, you better cancel and leave." These guys have a great product on their hands, not because of the features, but just because of the price alone, so I think they would create a much better USP if they simply take the feedback that makes sense and go implement it immediately.

Pros

- unlimited unit pricing is great, all inventory systems should follow this model and deliver value on features not units ordered - simple interface, easy to use - syncs with Amazon and ShipStation easily

Cons

- feels like this is a beta product, but I paid $980 for a year - customer service

Saves time and prevents manual errors.

Pros

Seamlessly ties our systems into a neat little bow. Saves us a ton of time and prevents manual errors on our part - no more manual transfers of data from one system to another.

Cons

We have run into an occasional sync issue, but Trade Gecko's support jumps right into action to assist. And, sometimes the issue was simply a result of settings that WE entered.

Poor Experience with Tradegecko

We started a small confectionery business in October 2014, and needed a system to keep track of sales, stock and finances. After reviewing several platforms, we settled with Shopify for the POS and web store, TradeGecko for the inventory management, and Xero for accounting. The idea was to integrate these platforms so a sale in the shop will flow through Shopify to Tradegecko, and then to Xero....

Trade Gecko and Liberty Flights

Liberty Flights has been using Trade Gecko for about 2 years now and we have seen a lot of improvements since then. The team always update you on the new integration and apps available. I would also make a point in saying that the customer service is very efficient, quick and professional. We had a few issues (e.g. Xero integration) and they have always been able to solve problems - sometimes going above and beyond what one might expect! In a nutshell, perfect for small and medium businesses, user friendly platform and great customer service.

Pros

- Easy to use / friendly interface - Online platform available - customers can order online - Integrated to finance system (Xero) - Covers pretty much everything needed for small and medium businesses. - Good features including fast researches, reports, bulk actions.

Cons

- Impossible to integrate with bespoke systems (e.g. website) especially in terms of stock consolidation - Account management not as easy as a CRM platform. - CSV export (especially "relationships") need amended. - Only rarely, slow system and synchronisation with Xero.

The overall experience has been good. As a wholesale manager, I am using this tool on a daily basis and it's been of huge help. There is definietly a room for improvement, especially when it comes to adding new functionalities - ideally internal CRM system to have a so-called 'full-package'. and removing those that are irrelevant.

Pros

Tradegecko is a very user-friendly platform. It's very easy to quickly learn this software and manage it without any specific workshops.

Cons

There were some functionalities that I didn't use at all. I would probably revise some of the features. Furthermore, integration with other systems is not always the best. It didn't really work with the software used by our warehouse.

Cost Effective System For I'ts Features

I have sourced about 3 months for a system that meets my business needs. My Business is mainly operated under consignment. The operations needed to be as time effective as posible to maintain a considerable margin. Other programs or systems had their features that could work with my business but NOT as effective like TradeGecko's system does.

Pros

The program is very easy to use. Customer service responds fast and effective in comparison to other systems I have had experience with. The cost for the features it includes is acceptable. It allows you to have add ons (sync orders and shipment information for online stores like AMAZON, EBAY and other shipment programs like Shipstation). Also allows me to create orders using my iPad and iPhone while on the go (The orders automatically sync with the sYstem).

Cons

The program is web based. If you have no intenet It does not work. Remember most of the existing systems in the market REQUIRE web connection so I think it's not a big deal. The mobile app only works on Apple devices.

Great WMS!

It has been very easy to use and intuitive so far. We will depend on TradeGecko to have an accurate and real-time view of our stock so it will become fundamental to our business!

Pros

Multiple locations, partial shipments, POs... there are lots of features I like about this software. The real value being delivered is then when this information is integrated into the other systems we have that make management information so much more easy to access.

Cons

Only downside so far is bins having only 1 SKU able to be assigned to it. With smaller products, and more efficient use of space in mind, this becomes a challenge and requires a different setup in the warehouse to overcome. Also, the automation could do with being a bit more flexible, when limited to only certain variables and logic, there is currently not much I can make use of here.

TradeGecko does everything I need and if there's ever anything I struggle with, their helpful customer service team is always in touch promptly if not instantly. Inventory management is necessary when running a business of any size, and the fact that you can also integrate with Shopify for online sales, Xero for accounting, and plenty of other integrations is amazing. 5 stars!

Pros

This software is SUPER easy to use - you don't even need to have a history in inventory or experience. They did it all for you! Amazing how simple this was made, I have used many other inventory systems, and they were all much more difficult to work with.

Cons

We had a little bit of trouble at the beginning due to customer service and our rep not explaining things well. That is the only downside I can think of - everything else is great so far!

Tradegecko makes life easier

We were shopping around for months looking for a quality app to integrate with our store. Tradegecko was that program. It was an easy adjustment and uploading inventory and data was a breeze. Tradegecko has saved out company quite a bit of time and money. Tradegecko has dramatically reduced inventory errors in our systems.

Pros

Simple to use and integrate. Everything you need is in one centralized location. Email support is fast and responsive.

Cons

Would like to be able to add notes to sales orders and invoices.

Pros

Having investigated dozens of inventory systems, TG is by far the best for our needs. Good points; compliant inventory valuation method, good reporting, easy import/export, multicurrency support, good 3rd party apps (inventory planner + shopify), landed costs, easy PO editing and roll-back, variant & combination products. This product acts as our "master" inventory across several channels. Customer service is excellent and very helpful.

Cons

Could do with basic user role assignments on their 1 channel plan instead of upgrading just for this. More 3rd-party integrations would be good.

We love TradeGecko

We've had a very positive experience with TG. The customer support via email is amazing, so we always get quick answers, and good guidance on any issues we have. Since we've been using TG for the last quarter there have even been some updates that have improved the systems so we are confident that the system will continue to get even more useful over time!

Pros

We switched to both a new e-commerce site and TradeGecko at the same time. We spent a lot of time setting up our e-commerce site but only after launch did we figure out that TradeGecko was the more important operating system for us. It was easy to get launched and much easier for our staff to use. It holds almost all our data in one place, so we can easily see customer info, their past orders, their payments, their discounts, our current inventory, what's coming into stock, etc. It works really well with Quickbooks and our e-commerce site. Easy to understand, accurate. We're sticking with TG for a long time to come!

Cons

There are a few things that could be more efficient in TG that require some manual inputting instead of bulk updating because fields are not available for download, or orders can't be edited in the way we need. They always have a workaround, which is great, but some of it is a little inefficient.

Affordable & Feature-Rich Backed with Great Customer Support

When looking for inventory management systems as a new business owner, I was overwhelmed. I wanted a system to help me accommodate growth, but that wouldn't break the bank. I was extremely pleased with TradeGecko and am happy to have found them. I'm able to keep track of inventory at multiple physical and online locations, take orders on the go, and have effortlessly synced with my accounting program.

Pros

My experience with customer support was phenomenal. I had a few issues and questions early on, and my case was handled promptly and with the utmost attention.

Cons

Overall, I've been very pleased with my experience and nothing comes to mind at the moment!

The Trade Gecko Inventory System and B2B ordering are great

Pros

The software systems are easy to use. They make keeping track of inventory easy. I find the software easy to use as a person new to retail and wholesale sales. The B2B system works really well and our clients find it easy to use. The customer service is excellent. I have found the staff to be very helpful and respond promptly when a problem is raised. I also like the way the software is constantly improving as Trade Gecko listens to the needs of their customers and finds workable solutions to add to the software. The fact that it was started by New Zealanders also is brilliant given we are 'Kiwis' too :)

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about the product and vendor.

moving systems to trade gecko

We are moving our systems across to Trade Gecko due to it's ease of navigation and flexibility with data and stock control. We have found the intuitive system design and accessibility to be very user friendly, and easy to learn. After a very short learning process, we are able to import our stock lists easily, and have everything appear the way we want it. Most importantly, when we have come across an element of the system where we have required support, the Trade Gecko team has been quick to respond and very knowledgable - we have greatly appreciated being able to receive personalised service! Thanks for your support!

Inventory management and order processing made smooth and easy

When I bought my company it had a clunky website, paper invoicing and no inventory management at all. A few months later the website broke - permanently. We struggled to set up new business systems using a Shopify store and Xero accounting, but Tradegecko was the missing link. Tradegecko is intuitive, flexible and has a growing list of really useful features. It integrates really well with the website and accounting package and is easily powerful enough to meet all our future needs. The pricing is reasonable and the help generally useful. A particularly useful feature is a wholesale B2B sales channel that operates in real time. The Tradegecko team is enthusiastic and appears committed to constantly improving the software.

The best P.O.S. which works worldwide I experienced so far

I tried many Point of Sales systems (VendHQ based in Australia and Stitchlab from the US) and finally moved all my business to TradeGecko. The system is easy to use and very much e-commerce ready. The only weakness so far is the inventory module (I am using Inventory Planner additionally which connects to TradeGecko for the data but costs another $100/M).You can also use the TradeGecko system but...

Detail in reports. If you are understand the logic behind the software, then it is easy to work with.

Cons

1)It is not easy customizable , 2) to integrate with our self developed e-commerce system are not easy and 3)training is not available in the RSA. from local partners.

Magento integration

E-commerce Version compatibility issue is occurring every time like in magento. Customer service is too bad worst ever i had in digital e-commerce media. Promised to solve issue in less than 24 hours but unfortunately none email received from their side. Their webservice calling are too time consuming. Every time submit button take 3-5 minutes to save changes. Look wise fine but functionality as mentioned didn't up to the point.
