We used Trade Gecko in the past. We have tried other cheaper varieties of programs, but we always come back to this one. We are well pleased with this one and it works great with our other programs such as Amazon, ebay, etc.

I own and operate three ecommerce businesses, and I started a fourth which focused on high volume low cost units, so the unlimited unit aspect of TradeGecko was great. But you can't add different options for products on the front end, and how many ecommerce owners have products which have various option attributes? :) Once I inquired to the customer support team about this obvious omission (not a conscious design decision) they said for lack of a better term "Sorry, looks like this isn't for you, you better cancel and leave." These guys have a great product on their hands, not because of the features, but just because of the price alone, so I think they would create a much better USP if they simply take the feedback that makes sense and go implement it immediately.

Tradegecko has a lot of serious control issues and should not be used by companies with hundreds or thousands of different variants. We have not be able to rely on the accuracy and completeness of the reporting and therefore can not rely on it for control purposes at all. Also, the reporting capabilities are very minimal. You can only run a small handful of canned reports. Also, unless you are subscribed to the most expensive version (other than enterprise) you are only provided with email support, not phone support. Therefore if you have to clarify something or have a problem your daily activities are either put on hold or you have to track manually while you wait. It only integrates with two accounting softwares (xero and quickbooks online) so for enterprises running a hosted version of quickbooks or a more advanced ERP system all inventory transactions have to be manually entered into the ERP system. User access controls are non existent in the small business version so it is impossible to set up any type of work flows or segregation of duties.

This product is much cheaper than most inventory systems so it is better than tracking inevntory in excel.

Reporting, inventory management, ERP system integration, accuracy and completeness, not intuitive, not organized.

Regarding integrating with larger ERPs / Accounting platforms, as we scale I'm sure we will work with larger partners, but as a growing startup we try to prioritize our efforts to work on the most impactful integrations, at this stage QBO and Xero are two fantastic cloud solution we support, we know they're not for everyone and we hope they cover 90% of what our customers need,

We're B2B distributors and wholesalers. Basically our sales people are taking orders via the app on their ipad. They can show customers what products we have as well as the pics look good on the app. We can invoice warehouse customers off easily as well as you can setup a hand scanner / barcodes to products. Account customers can login to our private portal to place the order like in ecommerce, which means our sales guys dont need to go there. - Analysing most profitable SKUs and looking and trimming down width of catalogue is quite helpful with the customisation features and reporting in Trade Gecko - The CSV spreadsheets for bulk updating products, prices etc. is very powerful, helpful and saves much tedious time

From the time I started working with Trade Gecko, they have made a lot of efforts to improve their system. My business is 65 years old, at first I got the feeling that the developers knew nothing about proper business practices. Although it took some time, their customer service reps have finally figured out that I know what I'm talking about. I tested many different inventory companies before settling with Trade Gecko. TradeGecko was the best option.

For $200 per month, I would like to have phone support, not just email support.
If I want to make changes in bulk, I have to download the entire database, make changes to the bulk SKU's and then re-upload it. Working with the entire database in csv is very dangerous and has caused problems for me. I would like to see them improve this feature.
Only allows one supplier per item.
Most tasks are easy to do and learn. For advanced users, there are several little hidden features / obstacles that were difficult to figure-out, and left me wondering why didn't they tell me.
There are a few limitations that I have to work around and live with, but I believe with time TG will fix them. For example, you cannot input your own landed cost. You have to use their built in system that calculates landed cost from the PO. This is a huge headache; not all costs associated with a PO are payable to the supplier ie Transport, Duty, Broker Fees, Graphic Artist, etc.

I was working on a in-house manufacture management software, I canceled the project since T.G. had everything I thought of building and then some.
For the price TG are charging me - I will never be able to justify making it myself.
Cons
We are a tiny manufacturing startup and they're pricing tier that supports manufacturing is cost prohibitive of us. I understand that TG caters to factories with 1M$ in sales, still would be nice it they had a "startup" program kind of like Intercom with a reduced pricing for the first year.

Extremely flexible stock system with constant updates and extremely helpful customer service. Have had a few issues with invoicing under different tax laws for different countries and TradeGecko has been able to help with every issue, both with fixes within the current system and going into my account to help activate/de-active certain fields.

My main complaint is the reporting, it is a small thing, but you cannot see all of the reports from the website, the reports have to be emailed to you and then downloaded. Kind of a cumbersome process.

As a new business owner suddenly handling the intricacies of inventory management, Trade Gecko has been a great help. It's easy to set up, quick to learn, and dovetails nicely with both our webstore app (WooCommerce) and our accounting software. What's more, it cleverly handles both the online retail customers and our B2B wholesale customers (who needed a different solution - i.e. the ability to generate editable sales orders rather than finalized ones - from what WooCommerce could provide). It allows me to use different currencies and different 'warehouses', too. The TradeGecko team have been very helpful, and are open to our suggestions. All in all, I have found TradeGecko to be great; I love that it's cloud-based so I can access it anywhere, and what's more, it's very reasonably priced.

Do your homework, other inventory management systems offer much better features and functionality for same or similar price.

Im honestly having trouble finding a pro. Its cloud based? Yes but most offer this anyway. It does have reasonable integration with Xero(limited sync options), but most offer the anyway.
Cons
The actual software is very basic compared to what else is out there on the market. For example, you can only create purchase orders and associated landed costs in a single currency. So if you're an importer, and you buy from suppliers in another currency, there is no option for different currencies(which is likely f you import goods) for landed costs i.e. GST, Duty etc. So this means there is an overly complex and manual process required. There is also no drop shipping. You cant go back and edit invoices once created. You can only delete and redo.
The support is literally THE WORST support I've encountered. Its basically email support with a cpl hrs of onboarding.
All this would be fine if the software was sold properly for the price, its just not worth it.

This software is extremely cumbersome to use and is not userfriendly at all.
They entice you with low prices and once you’re in they leave you out to dry .

It has allowed the staff employed in store to check stock levels, locations, inbound containers, everything they used to phone us 50 times a day for!! It really is an awesome product

I have been with Trade Gecko for two years and everything is swell, but yesterday we got a bill, when we were paying monrey - a mind boggling 175% increase without notice. What is stopping them increasing it per month.

You get a lot of features offered by other similar application, at a lesser cost.

Technical glitches encountered while you use the application and the system takes a lot of time to load. Sending invoices is time-consuming. Absence of the print feature. Limitation in statistics. Inventory management requires more advancements and organization. More customization required in reports.

We did start our trade business last year and from the start, I wanted to be able to coordinate the stock level and profit margins etc. So I needed an ERP somehow. I am SAAS friendly person. So I needed something online which works and helps us grow the business. After looking several options, Tradegecko was my decision which I am happy still. A great user interface, easy to use. I love it.
