Pros

The team is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Combined with a solid platform, our experience has been outstanding.
It is focused and the team has managed to get the basics right - solid and reliable inventory management, a simple and easy to use interface, responsive and fast.
A benefit we've discovered after implementation is the outstanding email and phone support.

Pros

It is really great at helping us track our costs and meet our delivery standards. It connects natively to Shopify which is a big bonus and helps us pull for our orders more efficiently.
It's great to be able to log in on any computer without having to install software, and it's done an amazing job of keeping our inventory tidy and up-to-date.
We ran into a few hiccups at the beginning and the support team was very responsive and helpful in helping us remedy our issues.

Cons

After a hard sales pitch, they stole £1,500 from our business without providing one iota of value. When we tried to cancel, they charged us nearly a full year of fees and failed to return our funds.
Inability to add the cost of distribution onto a sale to know how it's affected margin. Lack of selection of Xero chart of accounts codes for stock journals.
Some functionalities missing for manufacturing environment. Sales Pipeline management integration is not there yet.

Cons

It's still relatively young product and there are few features missing here and there.
A drawback is the inability to track shipping supplies, leaving those to be manually tracked for replenishment.
I've been working with manufacturing businesses for years, and for years I've lamented Xero's relatively weak inventory management system.

Has revolutionised our inventory management as Xero was totally inadequate for a manufacturing company

Pros

The fact that if you are an inputter, it is user friendly and intuitive; integrates with Xero; great customer support

Cons

Not being able to select the date of a stock adjustment or the date at which stock is received is really unhelpful. All of our warehouses are remote so it takes at least 2 days for the results of stock counts leading to adjustments being posted, by which time month end has passed. Same applies regarding the notification of incoming stock. It is a bit too "real time" for me!

The flexibility it provides to a manufacturing / warehousing business is amazing. Everything from bills of material to sales orders runs seemlessly.

Cons

no cons really as any items required have been updated in the system. just waiting to see if a bespoke report generator is going to be introduced in time where we pick our own fields to report on.

Pros

Unleashed has been a very important part of our business since we started. We use Unleashed for our manufacturing, IM and sales. It is a vital part of the ease of ordering our ingredients and packaging, manufacturing our drinks, managing our inventory, monitoring our cost of good sold and invoicing our customers. It does this seamlessly and interacts with our Xero system seamlessly - too easy.

Cons

A bit slow in operation, especially compared to invoicing system Xero. We're also looking forward to new developments from unleashed

We are a small manufacturer of artisanal toffee products. Our production requires meticulous traceability of inventory and lots. We have used Unleashed for several years and seen it fit all of our needs from a manufacturing standpoint. The cloud based software is intuitive (therefore easy to train) and covers many gaps that we previously had in our process. The implementation exceeded expectations and support team did as well. In particular Jared was an outstanding representative of this company.

One of the best of the inventory management packages available with an integration to Xero. API access is top level.

Cons

The quoting capability and batch reporting for a manufacturing business is poor. While the software includes functionality for BOM's and Assembly's, there's no way to easily quote specialist parts without building a BOM which is a bit of a waste of time.

Unleashed Software is the best of its breed. One of its defining features is the ability for it to manage manufacturing which other apps won't do or don't do. Unleashed has a strong development team that regularly ships good features that work. Unleashed has above-average reporting for a product of its size. Its Grid Views feature lets you save useful sales/margin information for use in reporting, management and staff KPIs.

Pros

Built for Growth: Unleashed is a very scalable solution that has a lot of features that whilst might not be necessary now you'll be glad you have available down the track. Shipping, Multi-warehouse/currency are examples of these. + Manufacturing

Cons

Demand Forecasting: If you're in an industry with long lead times where demand forecasting is essential to your business Unleasehd will only be able to help you with it. You'll need to continue to run your mega spreadsheets to forecast future trends.

Unleashed has been a very important part of our business since we started. We use Unleashed for our manufacturing, IM and sales. It is a vital part of the ease of ordering our ingredients and packaging, manufacturing our drinks, managing our inventory, monitoring our cost of good sold and invoicing our customers. It does this seemlessly and interacts with our Xero system seemlessly - too easy. We use Unleashed in New Zealand and the UK. Recently we've been able to use the Unleashed mobile app to support our sales.

Pros

Ease of use, reliability, ease to introduce to new employees, functionality, value for money and numerous other attributes.

Cons

We're looking forward to new developments from unleashed

Pros

The inventory management (the core of the software) is great. It enables easy management of sales, purchases, and control of stock.

Cons

The manufacturing side of the software (bill of materials etc) is not good. You can't relate a BOM to a sales order or a customer when you print out the BOM to be manufactured. The reporting side of the software is not good either - it's hard to get stock reports that include assembled items.

We switched to Unleashed almost three years ago and it makes our work flow so much better. The cloud based ability to be able to use it any where anytime is brilliant. The purchasing features including landed cost gives us a true indication of cost all live.

Cons

I think all computers programs have issues but nothing with Unleashed is a major issue.

Heavy on Features, Easy to Use Inventory App that connects with Xero and QBO

Using Unleashed I finally have a process for everything inventory related in my business from purchasing, manufacturing, through to pick/pack/dispatch/invoice and everything in between. Staff finally have to tools they need to do their jobs effectively without resorting to a series of unconnected spreadsheets. I can see at any time my stock on hand, what products, product categories, customers and customer segments are making me the most revenue and margin. I can now use that information to offer the right products to the right people at the right price and the right time :D

Pros

Despite being feature-rich Unleashed is easy to use. Staff pick up their parts of the process quickly. It's worth noting that Unleashed is also the ONLY inventory app in the Xero space that does manufacturing well. Unleashed also has flexible and easy to use reporting that doesn't require a computer science degree. Any staff member can retrieve and customise the reports they need to do their jobs.

Cons

At the time of this review Unleashed does not: - Provide stock on hand at the bin level (unless all products of that SKU are in the same bin) - Provide demand forecasting

Pros

Intuitive interface. Extremely useful assembly / bill of materials support -- better than any competing software that I am aware of. Good integration support. For years, our company searched for an inventory management software that could integrate with our ecommerce, bick-and-mortar point of sale, and accounting softwares as well as support the inventory processes of light manufacturing. Unleashed surprised us by offering all of this. Since switching from another brand-name SAAS IM system, we haven't looked back.

Cons

Support is helpful, however we've had one issue with an integration that took a fairly long time to resolve. A native Woo Commerce integration would be nice, as would integrated barcode printing capabilities.

you can manage your inventory and sales from everywhere

Pros

The easy features but yet powerful to see profit, landing cost and so on. Of course the cloud features, also printing template were very good

Cons

Too expensive. Too slow in reloading pages, and customer service too weird. I complained for the price increase, they told me they could not do anything.. so I unsubscribe and started migrating to a new system and only then, they offer me a 50% discount forever... what a waste of time.

Excellent feature set. Slick UI and very good performance (often an issue with cloud solutions). Apart from the software itself, the customer support is top-notch.

Cons

You shouldn't underestimate the time it takes to get going. Planning and executing the migration is one thing. Also factor in the effort required to get used to Unleashed concepts and UI. On another point, it's annoying that a lot of things are not modifiable after a certain (e.g. changing the origin and destination once you've added a line item; similar issue for creating assemblies).

Pros

Cloud Based Software, so I can track my business everywhere I go, and the customise Report feature really help me to determine which report that I need.

Cons

Still overprice for the subscription, if It can lower the price, it will help a lot of small business like me.

Pros

Cloud-based, easy to use. It integrates straight into Xero (cloud-based accounting software which is awesome too). The Unleashed mobile app is good too - giving an instant look at all orders before we visit a customer. We would have died under the admin/logistics burden if we didn't have Unleashed - it allowed us to launch a new company and ramp up to annual run rate revenue in under 4 months.

Cons

It takes some work setting up the system and each new production run batch. It required a few calls with the Unleashed support team to understand how to set things up, but once done we were fine.

Pros

Easy to set up through importing of templates. Very good integration, especially to Xero. Nice ease of use and easy learning curve which is standard for cloud apps these days. Very "Xero-ish" in its look and feel.

Cons

Global search across SKUs not optimised. Some sales functionality missing, such as different currency by sales order. Little ability to perform ad-hoc cost of production analytics in Excel of BI for example - other than via the API.

Great software for general day to day operations

Bought our invoicing and stock system together so it saved double handling. We just need to implement Zero software to enable it to be fully streamlined.

Pros

cloud based system, easy to use and complete dashboard in you face on a daily basis. Easy to train staff on how to use the software as it's intuitive. Love the help desk support and normally resolve a problem within a day.

Cons

Reporting... There are some reports that I need out of the system where I can't get the information required unless I create a number of reports and then spend hours merging them. It would be good to have some sort of report writer to be able to do the reports that aren't in the standard list. Backorder releases... this is a time consuming exercise if you have multiple BO for the same product. My...

Pros

I like the ease of use and the fact that it is cloud based, so all our team can use it and update and sync, when needed. I also like the app that means I can access orders from my phone or my iPad, which is useful.

Cons

We dislike the inability to show batches on invoices. Also, although free tutorials can be access on line, it is difficult in that there is no call centre for users to phone up and access instant help with queries.

Pumacas Engineering switch to Unleashed

We have used cloud based software for the last three years and recently switched to unleashed. Our biggest concern was the integration from our old system. We have found the customer invaluable and the systems are excellent. These two combinations have meant our switch over was seamless. Big thank you to Stephen Jones who handled our account.
